@wrllovemen .... tumbler is pretty much a vibrating closed container with small metal beeds and soapy liquid in it.... put your jewellery in...comes out polished, it gets to the fine cracks and detail that a buffer cant
Okay, you just mentioned the tumbler that I just posted in the previous video, so are you supposed to brush it BEFORE it goes in a tumbler? Because they didn't show us that in the class, we basically finished our pieces, fired them, they threw them in the tumbler when they came out of the kiln??
Would love some Help!!!! :) I'm trying to work with this clay (first time I've used this) and I'm really stuggling. I would really appreciate some advice. It dried out quickly, I oiled my hands and added a few drops of water as recommend, but it's just sticky, bitty/gritty I can't do anything with it :(
I just want to make a simple oval pendant with an imprint in it. I've lost a lot of the clay on my fingers :(
you mentioned maybe throwing pieces in a tumbler with a few drops of dawn. Is there anything else in there with the pmc pieces and dawn? Thanks, by the way, for the tutorial.
@lsokovich you have to make sure there is "steel shot" in the tumbler, that is what actually polishes the piece, the dawn is added to aid in the process.
@MusicFeedsYourSoul PMC Makes thin precious metal clay sheets intended to be used for origami. They're fairly stable and you could quite easily make a mask out of them, but of course you'd need a kiln. I wouldn't dare to guess the area of the 5g sheets, but I suppose you'd need several.
Great videos - I've been making beaded & metal wire jewelry for years. I've wanted to explore other mediums, and I love the idea of silver clay, but I was put off by the idea of a kiln & worried it would be very complicated overall. Your vid series shows that it's really not that scary! Thanks for putting this together!
I don't have a Kiln so I was wondering If you could tell me how long do you let the PMC dry on the candle warmer before you fire it?

Do you think it would be possible to make a mask out of silver clay? Like a full face mask?
