Old school amharic music Eshururu By Frew Hailu

Hi I have a question that hopefully someone can answer???

Why sometimes do I see Amharic written as numbers in small boxes???? Like this

Is this Amharic??? Or a different Ethiopian dialect? I do not see it as often but whenever I see it Written sites claim it is Amharic too, I really love the look of it and I would love to know what it is called when you write Amharic in this way and how could I learn this???

it is an accordion. the instrument is used in gondar by azmaris. i don't know the exact history but i bet it was imported from europe like the sax, trumpet, cello.
