i went with about 6 people during the day and there was only one security gaurd... dont leave any doors open or he will no there are people in the buildings..security night is fucked tho theres like 4 of em and they have dogs that walk around going in the day is way easier.. we also broke the gate and drove around in the car n he chased us lol
Im headin there soon with a bunch of friends, we've seen it before but never been inside. Anybody know how tight security is in there at night? Apparently there are cameras in there ive heard.
RCAF Station Edgar was a radar site from 1952 to 1964. It was the southernmost site in the 'Pinetree' line of radar stations that ran from coast to coast along the 50th parallel during the Cold War. Each site was self sufficient and contained barracks and married quarters, schools, churches, and athletic facilities. The last use of the site was an Adult Occupational School during the 90s. The Canadian Forces sometimes use the site for training these days.
they say there was an insane asylum where a lot of wackjobs were murdered, and now its a 'CFB training ground' id say its to keep people from finding out, my friends went here last night
yeaaah a few of my friends from work told me about this, why is it abandoned? They also told me creepy stuff about this place, like they found cages and weird painting and bullets. I dont know but im curious.
It is easy to find..exit at the top of gasoline ally north of Barrie and head towards Horseshoe resort..you cant miss it...there was security on site but maybe not anymore.
yeah, i was there last night, and i can totally justify what your friend said, documents, telephones, curtains everything all left there. its weird. and kinda questionable.
my friends go snowmobiling there frequently. they say that its realy creepy kuz they go at night. they also say its weird kuz they still plow the streets.
I know someone who broke in there to look around - she said it seemed like everyone who lived there just up and left with no warning. I know it was closed down but it looks like they did just up and leave.

My family actually have friends who used to live in Edgar back in the early 70's. We visited them there but I sure don't remember much.

I would totally love to see this, I've been looking for it for a while now, if anybody could give me directions it would be greatly appreciated.
