Conniff, by his actions, revealed the type of person he is. Taking cheap shots about his appearance while demanding "we" be judged fairly (a.k.a. not solely based on our looks) reveals the same. We can do better than that.
I'm big. I love my life, have an amazing boyfriend (4.5 years in august), great friends. Believe me I have made more out of my life than other people I know. Am I just going to let someone say I hate fat people. NO! I don't deserve being stereotyped! I find it interesting that they felt comfortable talking about hating fat people in a public situation but if it had been another minority/oppressed group they wouldn't dare.
The way I think about it is that everyone can be fabulous. There's this idea that because we're fat, we have to be dull and dress monochromatic. I love that there's this like, uprising of just fat bitches who want to be trendy. It's great for me, I reap the benefits, but I think that once people see that we're not just drones, all wearing the same color, and that we're happy how we are, we'll become more accepted socially. Not that I ever want the author of that article to accept me as anything.

I can't help but feel sad because the truth is that deep down they loathe themselves more than they do anyone else in the world.
Well the PR team at Men's Health got what they wanted- A bunch of people reading the article due to the rediciulous title. As for the article itself.........the ramblings of a moron at best. Being great at gathering several statistics to support your argument doesn't mean it's a good argument. The correlation between a persons weight and their health or lack of is purely on an individual basis. This guy needs to stop hiding behind his "facts" and just admit he's an ASS!
actually, after reading the complete article im not angry with the guy. yes, his headline of "i hate fat people" was extreme...but it was a huge attention getter, and it worked.
i think to "hate" anything or anyone is pathetic. and it really limits your life experiences to hate people. who knows, you COULD have met an amazing - fat, black, big nosed, etc etc person, but instead you were too busy HATING to get to know that person...so, YOUR LOSS. i hope a FAT person saves his life one day...wonder if his opinion will change??
