If it was a United or Northwest logo you woldn't care. If we were to find enough however, we could get the gas prices down, then the gas guzzlers would get hauled out again and drivers would go back to their old habits. More demand but still not enough oil to supply the demand will raise the cost, so it will almost be as if no help were given after the first month.

What are you talking about? Today, most commercial airplanes use a fuel similar to light kerosene. It's heavier than the gasoline in most cars but not as heavy as diesel fuel, and is designed for the particular rigors of plane travel, such as cold conditions. Now I admit that planes may have to continue to use oil but that doesn't mean that other vehicles and powerstations cannot use hydrogen or compressed air, solar etc.

If we wanted to we could start converting to hydrogen tomorrow with conversion kits that costs less than 50 bucks. It would take less than an 2 hours to be up and running and people could start driving under hydrogen power. No gas station just fill her up on water and the rest is history. Any questions?

Actually I have a gas electric hybrid. I am thinking of converting my wife's car to hydro power but I think that there may be better tech around the corner so I haven't converted her car yet. And once we drill in ANWR, where does that oil go? The United States doesn't have a nationalized oil company like England, Russia, China, and many other countries. So the U.S. has absolutely no say in where that oil is sold. Exxon-Mobil will sell it to the highest bidder, just like they do all of their gasoline. So while the price of gas may go down a little bit simply because there is slightly more production, it will really do nothing because that oil could just as easily be sold anywhere.

Like I said to you before. Have you been to Japan? If not, then don't speculate. The Japanese live on a series of Islands that are about the size of California. Many live in small apartments because they have little in the way of land. Now back to your other assertion. The oil companies own enough land to drill for oil. If you look at the wells already dug, you will notice they aren't using them.
