It's time for gays to adopt straightness—to put aside their gayness—to embrace appropriate gaiety—to live, to love & to laugh, & to joust, with pronghorns directed frontward. Oh yeah.
Muchas, muchas veces he escuchado esta canción, Y HAY POCAS que describa el ..-pasar de la vida...lo que fue..lo que pudo ser..y lo que será ...entre CHICOS Y CHICAS,,,y la RULETA SIGUE -...
Omg.. i'm not sure which is sexier, this song or Bryan Ferry. Probably him lol ;) this is so sexy and mysterious though.. the whole album is. Thanks so much for posting!
This has to be my favorite Bryan Ferry song of all time; it's so ghostly and haunting! I was excited when I found the Boys and Girls album on vinyl for...get this...$1.95!!!!! This album is amazing, and indeed, Ferry is the king of suave. I'm much too young to have had a great taste of the 80's, but music like this really makes me feel it.
@pej7402 bryan ferry had to be the classiest singer of the 80's, always wearing suits or tuxedos, reminds me of the persona James Bond had, very suave, and oh so cool, and his voice remains one of the most haunting in rock music
Your absolutely right! Bryan is very suave, clear in his singing; above all: STYLE. His Avalon and Siren albums were among the greatest that the singer and his group developed. Each album, quintessentially, without doubt, represents the many different modes in experimenting in music, that Roxy Music was involved in. Early 70s, was dark, decadent and moody, with an air of mystery which gave the early albums edge. Early 80s, this was the period which was full of class.
@890speevolante i am a blues singer, but since hearing Avalon and Bete Noire, have been working on some of Ferry's songs, I have a voice that can closely match his when singing Avalon, did it at karaoke one night and people thought it was awesome, i added a harmonica solo which replaced the sax solo and people thought it was cool
This song (along with a couple others by Bryan / Roxy Music) were used in the TV show "Miami Vice". Absolutely fantastic! If you were to look up 'The 80's' in the dictionary, Bryan's picture would be there next to the definition!
Miami Vice is where I first heard this song in the episode titled Bushido and the song and episode ruled. This song was the back ground to a drug deal sting that went bad at the start of the episode on the beach. Thanks a lot for putting this on here because it is so haunting and powerful. This and Slave To Love, which was also on a Miami Vice episode, are my favorite Bryan Ferry tunes.

Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music FTW! Avalon is my favourite album of all time, but after listening to this song it will be interesting to see how this compares... No doubt I'll love it at least almost as much!
You'll find it very hard to find a bad Ferry/Roxy album (I can't) but they do feature virtualy evey style of music there has been (and they created many styles of their own)...which shows why Ferry has been given the BMI ICON award.
Glad you liked the 'Boys and Girls' album. I remember buying it when it came out and nearly wearing out the needle on the stereo which my dad was not too impressed with at the time. Wow, that was 23 years ago. GULP

He sounds just like Jim Morrison on this song. Amazing. Heard it on the "Bushido" episode of Miami Vice.

I think 'Boys and Girls' and 'Bete Noir' was a peak era for BF/RM. Also, 'Country Life' and 'Siren' earlier.

You'll find it very hard to find a bad Ferry/Roxy album (I can't) but they do feature virtualy evey style of music there has been (and they created many styles of their own)...which shows why Ferry has been given the BMI ICON award.

Yeah, if you listen to the Platinum Collection compilation, you realise just how many music styles they successfully ventured into.
And the Boys and Girls album, which I bought two weeks ago, turned out to be fabulous (naturally).
