1) I got 2 10 Kickers....the RMS is 400....da peak is 800...........they hit pretty damn hard IMO..........and woooooooow at the person to say Crossroads is a lame song.....thats just something

i have been in car audio for a long time and the cvrs can only handle 800 watts rms a pair. NO MORE trust me had some before. The amp is way over rated if you want true wattege go with pioneer, alpine, audiopipe, or rockford fosgate amps.

i have the same subs, box and truck. im getting all of it installed after christmas and ill post a video response. i also got lights that flash 7 diff colors when the bass hits and pioneer 6x8 inch 4-way speakers with high end tweeters

if ur lights are still dimming when u are using the right stiffening cap for it. get a stronger battery (optima yellow top). if still dimming, then upgrade ur alternator. usually under $300.

well... shut up haha. i got a 12" CVR and it ain't shallow mount. And i googled it and all that came up was "Shallow mount CVT" not CVR. Ive never seen a CVR listed as "shallow mount." But w/e u say man, i mean im just a young grasshopper anyway lol

i have seen them as shallow mount but they are not, the shallow mounts are cvt subs they probably say that because cvrs are shallow compared to other subs

you need 1 farad for every thousand watts

and i doubt your amp is maxed out since the kickers can handle i think 400 watts

so maybe you need a new battery before you get a new cap

haha yeah i have a 4 farad cap. what I need is a bigger alternator, but I got newer truck and got rid of system and goodies in there :( haha but new truck = new possibilites :) the amp is minimum 3000 watts RMS.but amp turned down because i blew the first set of cvrs lol.this video is the turned down amp.shoulda seen the first set,damn flexed much further.lol but they went kablooey

i have those subs they are rated for 400 watts rms...ur guna hurt ur subs that is to much watts their specs are....400watts rms...and 800 peak...they are not supposed to handle peak all the time its not good for them eventually they will blow and they sound better at rms because at peak ur stressing the speaker to its limits...

If you still had the truck, I'd say upgrade all your power wires to 0 gauge and then go 0-2 gauge on your "big 3" and that would get rid of the dimming. Sucks that you sold it! I sold my truck with my system too :'(

amp is turned way down,subs couldnt handle any more power to it.minimum is 3000 watts @2 ohm load,(thats wat the subs are wired at)i used 0 gauge wiring with a 4 farad cap (boston acoustiks)thats not enuff either,i need bigger alternator,lights flicker like bass lights. so 1500 to each sub.

I'm glad you've realised it was the alternator and not the capacitor. These aren't shallow-mount subs, just thought I'd like to point that out. They have the same mounting depth as the CVXs, you should try and get hold of a pair of CVX 10s if you want subs that will hold up on that amp. And finally, is that a sealed box?

my mounting depth for subs is 4-3/16". the cvx mounting depth is 5.94 In. too big for little box, and they are only 4 ohm loads.the longest my box can handle is 5". my box is from baswurx,and it is enclosed.i am going to fibreglass some 12's in the rear doors,chec out the otha box i designed,its unda therrienh.anotha panty droppa. :)
