the best thing to do is to board up your house, and have LOTS of guns, ration your shots aim wisely, if you live close to a cemetary move and find highground wear body armor and a gas mask for airborne dease, if a member of your family is scratched or bitten or a friend is remember in less that 30 minutes youll be a 7 course meal shoot to put them out of their misery it may seem hard to think of but you have to consider the bare facts,move to a small town IN a city there is a bigger population

maybe helpful ideas: get something to eat/drink, get climbing gear, get a dynamo radio+walkie-talkie, flash light, car battery, baseball bat (better than an axe or something >> less zombie blood), gas mask, paint (to draw SOS onto walls etc.), map + compass, nightscope.

imho best spot to hide: rooftop of a high building. you can see everything from up there, usually only one entrance to watch, best radio reception, helicopters can see you.

most important: don't forget the bullet for yourself.

Or you could do what any other American does, you prepare. Typical prep includes having a gun safe with weapons of your own choosing (I'm a fan of of my Browning 1911 and Bushmaster AR-15 platform personally, throw in a shotgun for close quarters stopping power) with enough ammo to sustain you for a long enough period of time, keep yourself a few boxes of MREs and some cases of water. Then sit and wait it out until you can move comfortably throughout your immediate area to collect more supplies.

One more thing to note: rapid fire guns are a stupid idea. The first bullet will let zombies know you're around, the second will tell them where. At most fire every minute, on the minute.

Yah Zombieland was a great zombie movie and it would be my ideal zombie apocalypse situation. This is why I already own several guns, live outside a major city, Have a house with an old rock/mortar/stone wall that is a good 20 feet high, and have a few thousand rounds of ammo saved up. Also, what you need is food, water, medical supplies, and a whole list of things to survive or at least prolong the apocalypse thats taking over. Best to get Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide. It is by far the best guide to prepare for attack, defense, travel, and just surviving in a Zombieland world.

Oh and btw, these tips are only for in the USA, Latin-American and African countries, because they're the only countries i guess that have either gunstores or a massive amount of gun trafficing like in the favela's, mogadishu's gun market, ...

If i was the gunstore owner, i would hand out all guns & ammo, not the one im carrying (prolly AK), because then a whole bunch of fully armed living people would be around you and you could start setting up a base round the gun shop. If you're starting to shoot people away, 1) you'll be alone and vulnerable 2) you can't possible use 100 guns or so by yourself... 3) money isn't worth sh1t anymore when sh1t hits the fan.

About the 'blood getting in your mouth is how you become a zombie' thing. That's just the rage virus from 28 days/weeks later. Which is technically not an actual zombie movie, since they had some reasoning skills.

It's a transfer of dna, in any way, most often from a bite, in which case the zombies saliva would transfer into the open wound, and infect you.

But with the blood thing, if someone is stupid enough to bash a zombie with their mouth gaping open, they deserve to be turned. lol
