  • Burn in hell Trueman, may your nation suffer the same way as those victims of US war crimes and devilish attitudes such as the one portrayed by both you and TV in your country.

  • @AnnabelLolita Without the A-bomb, then millions of Americans as well as Japanese civilians would be killed more than the two A-bombs. Put yourself in the shoes of an American soldier fighting against the Japanese in the Pacific.

  • @Hperman09 Japan was defeaten u know, Britian had beaten Japan in the west, USA in the East. Only place with proper use left was the Japanese mainland. Japan refused to surrender. However you are right, it is very likely that the atomic bombs were the best solusion with actually the least losses for Japan. However the way Trueman speaks he wouldn't have stopped until the did surrender. Meaning he was going to continue even if whole of Japan would be a crater. Thats what makes it most terrible.

  • @AnnabelLolita Actually the US only had two A-bombs, they threatened Japan with the use of nukesagainst just to make them surrender. Japan thought that their country would be nuked so they surrender.

  • @Hperman09 do u read facts and watch this clip? Why you make things up?

  • Being the first to comment on this video, hopefully I can set the record straight before this comment section degenerates into an age-old argument.

The atomic bombs were justified. An invasion of Japan would have cost many, many more lives--for both sides. The Japanese had an iron resolve; heck, they did not surrender even after the first bomb was dropped.

If you have a problem with these bombings, pick another topic where you can form an actual argument, like the Dresden bombings.

  • @thecaptain293 Dresden was revenge for London. Indeed one can argue over if the revenge was nesesary or not. But none can argue that using A-Bombs agienst an already defeaten enemy is right. USA had crushed Japan at sea and from the east, England prevailed in the West. This was just a way for USA to quickly stop Japan to gain influence over the region rather than having the region influenced by either Russia or England. Learn your facts kid!

  • @AnnabelLolita Read "Thank God for the Atomic Bomb" by Paul Fussell. Educate yourself, then get back to me.

  • @thecaptain293 Nice arguement. Stop trolling

  • @AnnabelLolita Arguement? First off, it's argument. Secondly, I'm citing sources in my argument. That isn't trolling, it's being rational and intelligent.

  • @thecaptain293 gief source then kid.

  • @AnnabelLolita What? Either you're foreign and have a very poor grasp on US history, or you have terrible English skills and are an idiot. And also you need to get over yourself. It's easy to use hindsight to ponder what people should have done or said, but it's impossible to make these judgments in their shoes. Truman ended the war which is all that matters.

  • @thecaptain293 gief = internet slang for "give" Thought everyone would know it. My english skills are above average but sure, could be better. Nobody is perfect. Define foreign. Sweden is centre of Europe, Europe is centre of economy, power and technology. You're from remote Americas. I should probably call you foreign. So if it was Japanese placing the bombs on your town to end the war it would still have been "all that matters"? Geez, how narrow minded can you be? Think outside the box please.
