you gyes just so cool also my track am useing most on my turntable is stars on 45 hey im new and ownly 11 years old . brian can i get your e-mail??? :):):):)
my track that i would play at every gig would be baracuda. I am 35 and getting back into my hobbie of djing. i dj'ed over 10 years ago and i am getting back into it.
When im djing at my gigs 95 per cent of the time i play wigfield - saturday night or the macarena these 2 tunes played in a row allways gets everybody doing the dances and it allways fills the dance floor.
Almost forgot. For some reason, everybody goes crazy when I bring out Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers Swing the mood. Y.M.C.A. is also a staple that people love.
Hey brian see you in October at Bpm and thanx for the previous vids on DMX controllers i have now got the whole dmx thing down to a tee!! cheers great vids
i mostly play house parties in the suburbs of chicago, often times in or around dekalb (NIU). i mainly play house and trance music with some hip-hop thrown in there.
i'll have a track that i play at every gig for a couple or few months at a time. the whole summer i've been playing these 3 tracks at mainly every gig
- Martin Solveig - C'est La Vie (Fedde vs. Martin Club Mix)
- Usher feat. Young Jeezy - Love In This Club (Stonebridge Remix)
- Delta Goodrem - Believe Again (Tommy Trash Remix)
There are a lot of songs to say I try to play "all" the time. "Play that funky music" by Wild Cherry is always a big one! A song that I play a lot that people always dig is "The way you make me feel".. Mr. Michael Jackson, and probably um... "My Sharona" is a big hit for me! I am representing the southeast, Birmingham, AL. So another standard is "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynard!
... no kids, family business with plenty of back-up for time off, cool wife who would let you do it, bills paid, money in the bank... you really have no excuse NOT to join us :) I'm sure you'll think of one, though. HA!
always play, regardless of the event and the crowd, Chubby Checker and the Twist, followed by Twist and Shout (Beatles). They work together well, and cross every line possible (age, gender, race, religion, etc).
Will try to make it to LV, not too far for me (I can drive it in 12 hours)
Hey Bri, what hotel are you guys stayin at? You and Johnathan need a roomie? Ive never been to vegas before, and Id like to hang with someone. Besides, Im loads of fun i assure you, could make for great video.
Hey Brian Its DJ D Rev. The song that I play at every gig is september-until the day I die and or everybody looking for love also by her. The artist september is not well known here in canada but the music work works.
I am booking tickets & accommodation tonight for the show. My son and I are coming to represent Glasgow West of Scotland. Looking forward to meeting everyone. See ya!
As for track pretty much played whatever the event. It's a two way tie between the Michael Jackson DMC Mix and "Shout" by Otis Day. Like Jason Earley, however, if I was still in the UK I'd play the Lulu version of "Shout".
I'm looking forward to seeing Otis at Vegas, baby!
Myself and Tim will be in attendance at both events, with our cameramen, sound guys, makeup artists, hair stylists, script writers, executive producer, assistant producer, director, key grip, stuntmen, costume designers, special effects team, casting agents, continuity announcer,on site catering team and of course..our bl**dy wifes !:)
ps I always find "frankie v & the 4 seasons - what a night", always goes down a treat at most gigs.
pps my lips are sealed regarding the other announcement :)
It really depends on the gig, but the "classic" songs on high rotation would be: Cold Chisel - Khe Sahn, Rick Springfield - Jesses Girl, Soft Cell - Tainted Love, I'm Too Sexy - Right Said Fred, and one I like to start the night off with: Stars On 54 - If You Could Read My Mind....and the beat goes on and on and on...
Johnathan and Brian together at BPM, fantastic news!!! If i was a mobile dj, i would probably choose something like Guns And Roses - Paradise City or Sweet Child O' Mine. Hmmm another surprise?? It's not johnathan and brian's turntable mayhem build your own shed backwards while drinking beer and whistling at busty ladies dvd, is it??
I always play Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl, if its a wedding anyways, always seems to work. Usually follow that by Stealers Wheel - Stuck in the middle... Works well
JJ Flores & Steve Smooth - Freak You , most underrated song of all time , that's why I'm playing it , sure I always play funky house , we shouldnt let this genre to die.
As in the Video its The Foundations and Build me up Buttercup. always gets the girlies dancing...good starter!!!if there not dancing. BPM HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE. WE GOT TO FIND SOME GOOD FOOD FOR BRIAN!!!!!! HA jearley2424
I do too. I always put some loops in too. Slide to the left becomes - slide to the left, slide to the left, slide to the left until everyone is bunched up on one edge of the dance floor wondering what happened! Repeating hops is also amusing!
Hey Brian. I will be going to Las Vegas as well so I I look forward to seeing you guys there. I hope to get a digital video camera soon so I can start posting gig logs as well (I'm in Florida and do a lot of beach weddings which will be different). Anyway, I think probably the song I play the most would be a tie between the Cha Cha Slide or Soulja Boy. See you in Vegas!
Surprises are great!!! Can't wait to see what it is. MBLV sounds like a great time but I don't think I'll be able to make it this year. If I can I will though.
Oh and does anyone play Tunak Tunak? It's a huge hit in my hometown college (lots of international students).
The one track I always play is Higher Ground performed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers
This is super exciting. The videos when Johnathan came to the US were some of my favorites. The regional track I can't get away from playing is probably 2Pac - California Love.
Ya shure we like our polkas here in Minesotah too...Beer Barrel Polka (Frankie Yankovick), In Heaven There Is No Beer (Frankie Yankovick) Cause you can't just play only one polka, Fishin' In The Dark (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band)
A couple tracks that I play at mostly every gig are Alannah Myles -- Black Velvet, and John Mellencamp -- Hurts So Good. These usually work pretty well to get the crowd going. Lonestar -- Amazed is HUGE around here, but I don't know about other places.
most sonnnng i go for brian i go for is to new and oldd is new stufff be Calabria-enur by Natasha that hits dance floor right away love soo much ppl ask him if have and cant for get bee geees is i fell like dancing clasic 80's tones and frankie go to hollywood relex that stufff get them going hey djarod
