I would have given Kathryn Bigelow the Oscar for THIS film! I'm sorry, but after viewing "The Hurt Locker" over half a dozen times, I just don't like it! "Point Break" will always remain one of my favorite films of all time. Patrick Swayze did his own skydiving in this film, and was absolutely awesome! We lost you too soon, Patrick.. God bless you, and thank you for the wonderful art you left us!

i remember when this movie first came out. the uk trailer made it look like a teen movie. surf, chicks, swayze etc. never knew about bank robberies and shoot outs. got dragged kicking and screaming to see it with my girlfriend and was stunned, to say the least! dont get me wrong some of the acting is shaky. but that to one side, i still havent seen a skydiving sequence filmed more spectacular than that to this day. and the footchase was brilliant! bit of a classic on the sly. sshh!

yeah, that was a good bit. i later found out that swayze done nearly all his scenes and i think he learnt how to surf especially for the movie. you can tell its him 90% of the time. great support by gary busey and john mcginley. and if youve ever seen 'big wednesday' a young gary busey is in that, apparently he learnt to surf for that movie. so its a bit of a nod to him. but the footchase is quality... ever seen 'hot fuzz' ? great references to point break. it was a uk cop movie, its superb!

Great movie. Really hit the late 80's early 90's surf culture spot on. Keanu was such a better actor in his early days. I think the Matrix movies really went to his head, now he doesn't know wtf to do when he's on screen, he just seems to stand there.

Not to mention this movie has a fantastic ending that's been copied a million times since by other movies. Point Break is great.
