I heard the inside scoop from a man who worked there. Cargill first hired an outside contracter welding crew so if anything happpened then Cargill would not be held responsible. The crew accidentally set some cheap and highly flammable conveyor belt on fire and it spread from there. If Cargill wouldn't of been so cheap and instead bought the regular belt then the fire wouldn't of happened. Oh, btw, a man recently died at the Nebraska City, Ne plant, due to Cargill's negligence too.
