LA is so diverse it can't be categorized in any one way. the smog is not nearly as bad as people say it is, ive lived in LA and santa barbara and there isnt a noticeable difference. LA is not overpopulated, it has basicaly the same amount of people as NY in a way biger area. Sf barely has any people. LA may be cheaper in sum areas but it also has really expensive areas (BEVERLY HILLS for example) as well. sf is prety expensive but its the burbs (hillsborough, san mateo) that are really expensive

The only part of your argument that was even close to true was that the Lakers generate a lot of revenue. But so do the Warriors, they're always in the top 10 despite bad teams and terrible ownership. If you look back to the 90's when the Lakers sucked, they didn't have all the support they do now.
