  • I was told by Comcast Internet trouble shooting, that will stop when I pay my bill. So they have the ability to give you weak signal and intermittant signal. My front room tv could not handle the on off signal and burned up. The rotten bastards.

  • I had a problen with my box that was simmiller but it said not autherized so I called comcast and they said my box was defective so I had to replace my fucking box!

  • hey buddy... if your still having this problem let me know. I'm a comm tech and use to work for Comcast as an engineer. You got a pretty bad ingress problem there. Most likely needs the attention of a field tech there in person but maybe I can give you a temporary fix until you get help from Comcast.

  • its called pixelation and its caused by either a bad line,bad splitter (radioshack,drop shop, etc), low signal,or foreign voltage like a bad electrical ground. or a combination or all that.mer, ber and snr are big factors but it is very very rarely the box.one more thing is crappy fittings like those screw on ones. hopefully that gives u a foot in the right direction.

  • you may not have enough bandwidth in your home call comcast for a bandwidth rase

  • He knocked on your door no answer, to him hes like ok looks like a not home but I still get my points for the call. He calls dispatch, dispatch calls your house, no answer,but dispatch knows you the customer might be home soon, so they make the tech wait 10 min,if you dont show up he leaves and completed the job, but he does know your there but dispatch dont know that, all he says is, "Its been 10 minutes and no ones showed up", then dispatch tells him to leave a door tag and leave.

  • we had a few techs get in trouble for doing drive by house describtions when the cust doesn't answer the phone

    Now our handhelds have gps so they know where we are at all times

  • yeah we are starting to wean out the contractor, they get bad by the job so they don't care as long as they do it fast, then we have to go behind them and wipe their asses

  • *bad ingress being delivered to the box, i've been in house where the digital signal level was at a negative 15db behind the box and everything was coming in perfect

  • Actually it looks more like you have low signal on the cable lines or there may be noise in the line. That will cause the digital channels to break up and go off all together. its called MER or you can see the SNR at the digital box by pressing the small power button then the ok select button and then go to option three and the SNR should read 31 or better or you will have this problem. I would set up a service call with you provider.
