  • ewwwww a dell

  • Nothing says classic music like Jim Bean...

  • Ola! I found your teabagging mutants video and this channel through that half of a youtube url in Mogworld. I'm glad you chased your dream to write it, and it's pretty great. I'm reading it while sitting and waiting for things to finish on my own book, so good luck all around.

  • ... he's talking so damn slow... iwishhewouldtalklikeheusuallydoes

  • yey moonlight sonata

  • When I found out Yahtzee was born in the same town as me it filled me with hope... hope that people can make something of their lives and escape the miserable futureless void that is Rugby. It is the best definition of Grey...

  • About the audio book idea: Hearing yahtzee doing ALL the voices, that also including female ones, would be kind of hilarious in it's own right, in addition to the books innate chuckle potential.

  • @werewolfmaster2 I think his incredibly bored (to clarify, bored, not BORING) voice would probably ruin some of the funny bits simply because, well, it's a novel, probably not going to have the same vulgarity as his videos AND it won't have the same view of the audience as his videos do, so his use of comedy will be different, probably in a way his voice would ruin it (imagine his bored voice running through quickly on the funny bits, though he might stop to let us laugh, then start too soon)

  • The end traumatized me., oh well no sleep.

  • Ahhhhh Yahtzee. A brilliant comedian, (voice) actor, and now, author. Truly the Renniassance Man of our generation.

  • Yahtzee, what ever happened to the Kindle copy? I bought the physical book and I would buy the book again if it were released for Kindle. Still waiting...

  • Ahhhhh moonlight sonata, how sweet of him.

  • I bought it. I read it. I loved it.

  • He was cool enough when he was reviewing games, now he is a writer too? God damn, Yahtzee plans to take over the world!

  • Aww. No Guitar when he says Mogworld this time.

  • is the book written in zero punctuation?

  • WHERE HAVE YOU GONE!

  • Only few people actually wear a suit when they record internet video´s.

  • Ah hahaha you can turn up the speed in the video

  • He wrote a book?!?!?!!? Man did i miss out

  • I'd read this if I could download it into my Kindle DX. And yes, I do meant I'd buy a digital version for my Ebook reader. I'm not in the habit of pirating my books. They're cheap enough.

  • i just ordered the book... funny thing is the delivery fee is more expensive than the book

  • Yahtzee......Brisbane...Queensland wins again

  • Yahtzee, I always enjoy watching your videos and listening to your fast-paced commentary. I would, however, like to clarify just one thing. I've lived near Philadelphia my entire life, so I'll say this: You don't need to be "packing heat" through all of the city, just 70-80% of it.

  • @XHeroXInXTrainingX

The single-player was shit, don't deny it. As much as I love the multiplayer, I think the single player was so bad it would've done better without it.

Part two: settle down with the internet rage.

  • @XHeroXInXTrainingX *you're

  • Comment removed

  • @XHeroXInXTrainingX Yes, shame on Yahtzee for expressing his opinion which differs from yours.

  • I couldn't help but recall watching Eraserhead in a dark dorm room late at night during those last few seconds.

  • So. Are you always wearing a suit?

  • 1:47 that's Yahtzee for: If they're not stocking it now, make them want to.

  • The book I mean

  • *drooling mindlessly over his hero* amazing

  • you sure you haven't been to america lately?

i only ask because the gun...

    and the jim beam...

  • @dtgenshiken7 What with Yahtzee being Australian, I'm sure firearms and booze aren't that hard to come by.

  • @GuruGloin He's English ...

  • @spitss I'm fairly sure he lives in Melbourne. And runs a venue called The Mana Bar there.

  • @GuruGloin He's English born, he moved to Australia from the UK.

  • @GuruGloin He's still English, your ethnicity doesn't change with your location...

  • @spitss You could say that, I suppose. Personally, I'd say if you live as a resident of a country, you count as a member of that country's nationality as well as your own. Anyway, the point is, in Australia the attitude toward firearms (probably liquor too) is less restrictive than in England.

  • Look at Yahtzee's horse.

    His horse is amazing.

  • When are you doing the football pools?

  • Wheres his hat?

  • Yahtzee can I have your gun?

  • Song that the start?

  • @zeratulsoulB Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

  • @chaosking256 Thank you.

  • I just want to point somthing out real quickly

first i'll need to quote somthing he put in the description

"including my improved attitude towards fans". After reading that I quickly noticed the empty jim beam bottle

  • wouldnt need audio books i would probably reading in your voice in my head anyways.

  • That was a very fitting change of mood.... Who likes sleeping anyway...

  • audiobooks are good for people who drive a lot and don't time read books themselves. People whose job involve traveling from place to place and the like. They are also good for shutting up children on long car rides.

  • Technically Richard is an undead warlock.

  • Technically Richard is an undead warlock.

  • I am the 78,000th viewer. :P

  • Yahtzee is the House of gaming.

  • Man, I was not expecting to see Sarah Jessica Parker at the end there.

  • So this what he looks like? The man behind the voice? Pretty cool dude

  • loving your book Mogworld, i just had to see where link v=TANd-_Z_UZA led to lol, but have comments turned off on it, great book so far man

  • Anyone know the name of the song used at the end?

  • WAIT.

    HE WAS IN PHILLY?

    FUCK. MY. LIFE. WHY WASN'T I AWARE OF THIS?! NO YAHTZEE COME BACK PUH-LEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE ;A;

  • @Apatheon Yeah, I was pretty pissed off because I also found out too late. Actually, he was in King of Prussia. Actually, he was in Oaks. After his appearance, he and all of his fans probably went to the Philadelphia Rock Gym in the building next door. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Gamers are fat.

  • Let me just say 2 things:

1 Those were truly wise words that man told you.

    2. That camel image scared me shitless.

  • Audiobook! Definately

  • AGH!!!! EVIL CAMEL FACE!!!

  • Say Yahtzee. if you're reading this, Asalieri2 recently did a video debunking your integrity and credibility as a journalist/reviewer and dubbed you as a vain, egotistical prick. Look, I don't want to sound judgemental, but where you serious when you said “If you wanna come and say hi, please don't. Maintain a distance of 5-6 feet and regard me with awe and respect.”?

I mean, is this pretentious, hateful and contemptuous persona of yours a façade or is that who you really are?

  • @Algahiem From the videos I've seen of interviews with him, it's just what you would call a camera persona. He only seems to talk and act like that while doing his ZP videos.

  • @simusar You may be right, but I can help but feel that he speaks his mind when he is his “persona”. I used to be an avid fan of Yahtzee, but after a while, it seemed that most of his reviews became filled with joyless, hateful, pessimistic ranting. Sure, I put up with it for some time, but when Asalieri made a couple of video on him, Yahtzee's flaws became more apparent to me. While can still understand his appeal, his appeal has sadly been lost on me. :(

  • @simusar Nah. Have you watched any other vids of him? He's always like that, and it's frankly starting to become tiresome and annoying.

  • @UNr34 I've watched all his videos. It just seems like a "stage persona" to me.

  • @Algahiem Or, y'now, it might just be a fucking joke.

  • I guess a 4:04 error stopped him from uploading anymore...

  • @Parachuteification

Yeah thanks for your input pal.

  • I almost sprayed milk across my computer when that fucking horse showed up.

  • What a classy way to end your last video for 14 months. Prick.

  • @ilikecake48 Hes makeing videos on the Escapist.

  • @WiglegsMCServer lol I just found out about it like 2 hours ago, thanks for telling me though :). I know you probably won't see this but sorry for calling you a prick Yahtzee.

  • *AHEM* Attention ladies and getlemen.

    AUDIOBOOK!!!

    That is all.

  • The funniest dickhead in the world! Kidding. Yahtzee, you charismatic stallion, keep up the good work!

  • Lol I can play the opening song on the piano, it's Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. I feel like a newb...

  • Your voice reminds me of Ross Scott ( The guy who did Freeman's Mind ) it sounds alike.

  • Even talking sh!t you're a funny dude. 17th century poets. :D Me likey.

  • I'm... not getting more interested in the book

the only time I read any book involving games it turned out horrid D=

    and I'm a gamer

also yahtzee I prefer you as a stick figure, because now... I inevitably compared you with my dad who used to look like that, but with... gingerish hair. No offence meant, though I think it's hard to offend this cynic

  • i do want it yahtzee i want you to read to me while i suck my thumb

  • Holy crap, he played the moonlight sonata flawlessly, now the secret door SHOULD open, don't forget your emblem mate!

  • That camel looked like Hitler...

  • The horses give me nightmares...

  • "The intwinet... internet"

  • I have an almost incomprehensible crush on Yahtzee Crowshaw.

  • your voicse sounds funny

  • Comment removed

  • A wise man once said, get the fuck of the train tracks you lunatics!

    <3

  • Oh cool, I didn't even know you were planning a second book. Awesome, because I was hoping there would be a spiritual successor of sorts to Mogworld after I read it. Not a sequel, I'm not an idiot.

  • Make a book based on yahtzee takes on the world.

2 years of comics wasn't enough.

  • i near shat my pants when that...thing came on screen

  • Thumbs up if you like his method for dealing with "enthusiastic" fans.

  • Moved on from the elegant wine, to the less elegant Jim Beam.

    Classy.

  • HE LOOKS LIKE GORDON FREEMAN

  • @overloaded999 He does. And his voice almost seems perfect for Gordon Freeman.

  • Fur elise win.

  • This guy is a greedy megalomaniac.

  • why does yahtzee own a gun?

  • @viking977 "to deal with the more enthusiastic viewer"

  • Ah Yahtzee. I just gotta say, your voice is so mesmerising and hypnotic. It's like you put on a velvet-lined glove dipped in honey and gently finger my earhole. I SAID EARHOLE!!

  • Whats the music at start?

  • @Starioshka moonlight senade

  • @DJSisawsome Why you lie to me ? :(

  • intro made me think of ask that guy with the glasses

  • Holy fuck. Watching Yahtzee talk is queer beyond words but so awesome.

  • The ending gave me laughter, and the laughter gave me astma, need to take my medicin now. Guess you can laugh to death.

  • This isnt his first written work of fiction. He's written several short stories on his website. He always wrote a short story for the book "Machine of Death" which was simply amazing.

  • I would love to here him read it! I feel like such a creepy fan boy.

  • audiobook!!!!!

i would buy it on itunes

  • OMG the end made me laugh and now i cant stop, help me!!!

  • I say Yahtzee, I propose a conundrum if you will: where's that fedora hat you ramble on about?

  • though i did know yahtzee first, He sounds like Ashens!

  • Living near Philly, I can absolutely say a gun is your best bet. Fo' real.

  • I somehow still don't know what linda person he is irl....

  • I love you.

  • was going to go, but as soon as moonlight sonota started playing, so I stayed

  • Really, Yahtzee? a bottle of Jim Bean? And all this time I thought you were a man.

You didn't even have the courtesy to add Pepsi to it. I'm very ashamed.

  • should do one set in a different genre, like RPG or FPS?

  • Wait a second... I see and hear "Ask that guy with the glasses", but the title says it's about Yathzee...

    What's going on?

  • 2:20 good save!

  • phew...I thought you WERE ripping on terry pratchett...

  • what song is this??

  • link on page 174 of mogworld

  • The face he does at 2:22 is one of the first things to make me actually laugh out loud on the internet in a long time.

  • i would buy the audio version XD

  • I find the attribution of comments to 17th century Scandinavian poets inordinately funny.

  • is

    he english

  • @kickaturd2 No, he is martian.

  • @kickaturd2 Australian

  • @SpadedIce he's British

  • @Wedwickboy Oh right! I keep forgetting. He only moved to Australia.

  • @kickaturd2 yes, but he moved to Australia

  • i can't remember "Looking for Group" plays in World of Warcraft... I can't even remember it contains a mage -.-

  • I would surrender every inch of my body to you Yahtzee you shining specimen of manhood.

    I'm not gay.

  • Why does everybody have to say they are not gay? At least I'm comfortably a girl...

  • Please do the audio book!

  • Let me just say I don't like mumorpugers The fantasy genre in general , whether it be in books, games or film puts me to sleep... but I loved this book. Its truly funny and it made someone who walked out of that lord of the rings film(seriously it has been a few years now, am I still the only person who didn't like it?!) appreciate the genre. Great book, looking forward to his next one.

  • The Game

  • He should have wore his hat....

He looks better with his hat.....

    I'm not gay

  • I don't really read Looking For Group, but I did see that Little Mermaid parody. And judging from that and what I've read of Mogworld I'd say that Richard and Jim are completely different

  • more corpses than open nmike night eh? I'm impressed.

  • shit my pants at the end like

  • They have cloned the Nostalgia Critic!

  • @eldospinks

    And made him actually funny.

  • @JohnDoe66669 You have heard of Zero Punctuation right? This is not his five minutes of fame. That's every Wednesday.

  • @JohnDoe66669 typical internet troll, she got 10 seconds of fame with her crappy cliche-ridden pulp arsewipe

comment and now he got suited and booted to adress the spazzed out male prostitute under his desk.

  • @JohnDoe66669 You truly are a moron o.O

  • Wow. Yahtzee, you are a god among men. I gave a girlish squeal when you said that you would write another book. Wednesday afternoons are the high-point of my week, and you have a lot of talent and my utmost respect.

Also, if I were a little older ... I'd jump your bones in a minute.

  • 3:51 , swear i saw her in Sex and the City

  • I'm gonna get this book. eventually.

  • Lol, we have the same birthday :)

  • Lol, we were born on the same day :)

  • My God your voice is audible chocolate!!!

  • After watching part 1 of this Q&A I was all set to leave a chastising comment about what I perceived to be an unfair attack upon Terry Pratchett. Fortunately, I thought critically about what had actually been said and arrived at the same conclusion which Yahtzee thoughtfully articulated here. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry for almost being a twat.

  • Thanks for the shout-out to the visually impaired. :D I actually do want to read Mogworld but it is so far not available in any format accessible to the blind. I'd definitely be interested in an audio book version; you do have a great reading voice.

  • He was only in Philly for a short while and already learned how we roll.

  • Those writers are far to mainstream.

    Rolling some motherfucking poetic edda

  • Marry Me. O A O.... I love you... I'm 21... this Augest. LOVE ME DAMN YOU!

  • @GlitchtheBleu I was gunna ask that too... XD He's awesome!

  • @Azybee I don't ask... I demand... >D

  • If your book gets a movie deal then I'll buy it but sadly i'm not much of a reading person. Ps if it doesn't get a movie deal, turn it into a movie of your unique style yourself. And then you could sell it on steam or something that does not involve giving small sights credit card details.

  • Wow.....you're handsome, thin and well-groomed. (0_0)b......I hope your book sells well.
