You know it's weird to say but Aragog was actually a more creepy and difficult boss than the Basilisk. The Basilisk just looks small and doesn't really do much to you. Of course the idea of giant spiders always creeped me out more than giant snakes.

how i beat aragog is i just use debug mode to cut the webs then i keep shooting riptusempra until he dies. its a simple boss fight.

I had this on ps2 and i used to be well scared of spiders and aragog ran at you really fast on these parts and i like screamed every time he ran, i completed the level though despite like shitting my pants over a spider lol

Lol, I used to be absolutely terrified of spiders when I was younger, so when I got to this part I was like freaking out. So sadly I never beat this part of the game because I just couldn't play it. I think I'm going to take it out and play it again, I actually think it was one of the best HP games, despite the graphics.
