I love this song and I love simones voice but the ONE thing that bugs me is how she shakes her jaw when goes operatic. NO!!! BAD!!! your vibrato goes all over the place!!!!
its just one technique to produce a vibrato. ofcourse, REAL opera singers like maria callas have/had a real vibrato. but simone is not a REAL opera singer. many many singers shake their jaws to make a vibrato.
but still, she shouldnt. dont get me wrong! i love simone's voice but if she cant do a proper vibrato then maybe it would be better if didnt use any at all (which isnt a bad thing)
the thing is, that she uses two different singing techniques in this sing. at the start she uses normal head voice. there she has a proper and natural vibrato. in the operatic part she uses falsetto voice. and there she shakes her jaw to make a vibrato which is not natural. sounds great, and as long as it is not doing any damage to her voice,why not? if its really bad then you are right,then she should another technique...

and it DOES sound lovely, but she does lose control and if you listen, she goes flat when she goes into her vibrato.
