  • come on women!!!! dont cover your beautiful faces!!!! take it off

  • thats okay, but now...sarkozy is hopefully not welcome in germany!!!

  • Ban the Fucking Burqa, Not Because it relates to Abuse of women, Not because it relates to Islam, Because it's a Violation of Fucking Common sense.

  • I can't wait for the time where i government stands up and states, All citizens have the right to believe in their religon and to practice however, we as a country recognise that your religon cannot be proven, has no grounding in reality and has as much credit as the hundreds of other religons...None

  • Ban the whole religion Islam including Christianity and ALL others!!

  • afew bombs well sort them out lol

  • French republic laws are above charia in France. 80% of french people don't want ghost women in the street. French Muslims lived for decades in France without it.

  • @siorac54 its Sharia...not charia...don't give loly pop names for evil ideologies....

  • Two things are true at the same time: Sarkozy is extreme in his views and close to racist, and Islamic cant towards women is intended to be oppressive and dominating. I must agree: if people want to enter a country and work&live there, they should go with the flow, i.e., "when in Rome, do as the Romans do" -- then, the natives should be tolerant of the newcomers -

  • @SupernalOne islam is not oppressive and dominating Islam liberates a woman from the slavery the west forces b her into of selling her thighs and chest to be approved of by passer bys if you only knew how many western white women are embracing islam it would baffle you, and these are the main women who love liberation and they are converting for precisely that reason, feeling liberated through submitting their wills to god and not to man, man or no man I keep my veil for my Lord, period.

  • The Islam needs a reformer, they have the same rules since medieval times. Maybe beating our wife was common back then, but it is not today ... and that is good!

  • @FynnDynamite first of all wife beating is common today, and a man is not allowed to hit his wife with his hands no is he allowed to leave a bruise rather his touches are symbolic with something called a "miswak" which is the size of a toothbrush, can you get a concussion form a tooth brush? Of course not, and this is a last resort for women who are completely out of line, if she wants to be out of line to that point, she can just leave the marriage, simple

  • VIVA SARKOZY!

  • Sarkozy knows what's ahead tomorrow if action is not taken today. CONGRATULATIONS FRANCE FOR STANDING UP FOR DEMOCRACY, WESTERN VALUES AND AGAINST TYRANNY. CONGRATS FROM THE GOOD OLE USA

  • I'm not proud to be french - -'

  • @dawnzone

    why?

  • @FynnDynamite the french government in place is intolerant and racist ... It removes the freedom that we have, we come closer to a dictatorship to believe ...

  • @dawnzone

Sarkozy may be close to rascist, but the point is still valid: suppression of women is antithetical to the principles of modern western civilization - Muslim women are blamed for trying to seduce men if they show their hair, but the men can get away with anything - imported domestic/sex workers, beatings, polygamy, etc etc -- so forcing females to wear "modest" coverings is disengenuous - except that Islam is, at the extreme, a male chauvinist culture (so was Xianity for centuries) -

  • @SupernalOne It is a culture, too misunderstood and judged by the West, which has a nasty habit of being very strong judgments and prejudices! In France we are governed by a racist who wants to control us!

  • @dawnzone

"Misunderstood" I am sure -- I've also read accounts by Muslim women who enjoy going "undercover" so to speak, and not advertising themselves in public -- this I could understand, given that men are always looking at women (with greater or lesser courtesy) -- as long as women freely of their own will embrace the scarf, I'm OK with it - the face shouldn't be covered though, so people can identify each other. OK Sarkozy is racist, then, but it seems many agree with him, not so good.

  • @SupernalOne my face stays covered and yet I am identifiable, I take passport pics, driver license, and school ID, i merely request a female and voila, identified. Identity is about more than just a person face, in police reports people are often identified by race height and weight, facial features get mixed up quickly in a line up, but not those things. not enough women cover their faces for this to be as big of a deal as they claim it to be, if thats the case ban ski and halloween masks too

  • @SupernalOne is very good, probably better now that my English:). And yes, social problems are hidden up in the eyes of the world, but they are very present in France, but this will have will soon change ... The youth and some of the people will explode, at least he should. But for example, bans more important, evictions of Roma. All this is very serious.

  • @dawnzone

Votre anglais et bon, il suffice pour le comprehension (ni vous ni moi sont les grands auteurs dans l'autre langue \:^/ :-)

Il faut que je regard les events futurs dans la France, pour determiner l'attitude des Francaises - merci pour vos observations!

  • @SupernalOne men cant get away with anything, in fact men are to be put to death for rape under islamic law, and since it is a capitol punishment it makes sense that we should do our part not to be provocative for the purity of the society, check the turn of the century when women started taking off their clothes and see how rape and diseases correlate exactly with the changing of women's clothing, so many women are slaves to eating disorders, make up, billboards, and magazines while we are not

  • @sumayyahseattle

Well, thanks for making all that clear - I cannot attempt to justify the sexual excesses of the West, though I will note that there is a class of educated women who do not succumb to the bad example of pop culture.

The extremes of any religion are the most controversial, Xian & Muslim both. Consistent reports indicate that Saudi Arabia is highly conservative, women are cloistered & have only family life. The Taliban cuts off noses, etc - that is the side people react to

  • @SupernalOne Lol we have sexual excesses here in the West and we love it. It's called freedom asshole. :). Saudi men are rapists and child perverts. They have vacations into Morocco quite often so they can exploit the women and drink despite how *pious* they think they are. Saudi is an infestation inside the United States. Very disgusting people.

  • @suckbar69

US sexual freedom is also crack whores, unwanted babies, venereal disease - that kind of freedom has its down side. Yes, wealthy Saudis import young Indonesian women who are nominal domestic servants but are in fact sex slaves. & it's only better to be a muslim woman in the liberal West than in the more conservative Islamic nations. Still, Morocco & Tunisia are relatively tolerant; not all Islamic countries are that conservative. One must make the distinction. & fuck you too :)

  • @SupernalOne I'm sure you have the same in your country, just dont want to admit. At least i've seen a lot of that in Morocco. Probably not the same countries though. I have no idea.

  • @SupernalOne Sexual freedom brings Venereal diseases? Where did get your fact, out of your ass? The West has the lowest prevalence of AIDS and venereal disease in the world, you, fvckwit. If anything sexual freedom means better sexual education.

  • @TemplarX2

well just eat shit and die you faggot maggot - compare the US rate of veneral disease in the 50's vs. the 70's -

  • @SupernalOne It's your asshole that has an STD.

  • viva sarkozy

  • It was always my opinion: do you wanna move to another country? Be ready to accept their dress code, language and behavior, otherwise stay in your own country.

  • Sarkozy is strong leader, I am not French , but do I do applaud him for taking a stand! France is again standing up for Human Rights here! Bravo!

Though I do admit I fear retaliation for French citizans abroad w/out the protection of their own Country. Radical Religious Zealets have prooven dangerous.

  • Macdaddy912 I guess you realize those supporting burkas expect to do it everywhere and do not accept other women not to wear it in Islamic countries. If they force others to wear it in their home turf (or desert), they should not object to France not welcoming their burkas. Actually, in some Islamic countries, it is expected men to cover areas over and above the elbows and the knees, have beards (otherwise executed by Taliban), not to piss standing up among other thing

  • I agree with this man. We should not allow burkas in our country either as it will show everyone that it is unacceptable and should be banned from every country. It's time for change for those people - it's disgusting there is even such a ridiculous, outfit.

  • its funny, what would happen to a western woman if she were to wear a bikini in the middle east. this game works both ways people, if easterners can do as they wish here then wetserners shoud do what they want there which is not happening. under the idea that people should be free to wear what they want then someone could wear a balaclava into a bank freely. people need to get real.

  • @macdaddy912 i totally agree

  • deport them all

  • France don't give a damn. I couldn't image the reception if the UK or the USA tried this.

  • A country that sells itself on 'liberté' is telling people what they can and cannot wear - very funny.

Anyway, good on them, it should be banned. No doubt the sand monkeys will piss and moan as they always do. When will they get the message and just go to a country that wants it? Never. Thats why it has to be banned, because they can't take hints. Can we take the mosques down next please?

  • Fuck yeah, ban the burqa. We should ban it here in Aus too. We don't want it, we don't need it. At least France is defending itself, the Danish printed Muhammed cartoons, and the Dutch have had people like Theo van Gough, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Pym Fortune, and Geert Wilders. We need to be more brave in Aus and stop worrying about political correctness, and stop worrying about offending people, especially if those fuckwads don't care about us, and won't assimilate."

  • Charles Martel would be proud of this decision!

  • I was born in Turkey and supposed to be muslim. So I know what burka means. Voluntarily or not burka, headscarves indicate obeying sharia law. This means polygamy, preteen marriage, beating by husband if he wishes (see QUran), usually begins in religious preschooling), no schooling if the family decides so, no talking to men, no bbirth control, no music (sounds from devil), no work if men are involved. Burka signifies slavery and is inhuman. Women saying otherwise are suppressed after 2-4 yo.

  • @aaronsummers100 Getting beaten by your husband if he wishes does not exist in the Qur'an. Since u wish to be so technical with your description of what obeying Sharia law means..lets get it straight so that we do not confuse others. It states in the Qur'an that women can get beat by their husband if they do not OBEY him. Once they do obey him, he cannot hit her. Please do not confuse modern day Muslims with the Islamic belief, u sound very uneducated...and this is coming from a Christian women.

  • @ronnie1817 So a woman is a slave to her husband. If he wishes to enforce his lust unto her, she cannot refuse, hence he is allowed to rape her in technical terms.

Figures. Religion of cowardly wife beaters. Honorable men defend their women and children, not mutilate them if their "disobey" some religious pervert.

  • @alishehrishah Where do you get off throwing around these terms like SLAVE and ENFORCE HIS LUST UNTO HER. You should be very specific when referring to holy texts such as the quran. Where does it a woman is a slave? Don't just make statements from your opinion that probably stems from your view on Muslims and not from your view on Islam itself.

  • where does it say a woman is a slave?***

  • @ronnie1817 That's right so why do you treat them life slaves? If you are "forcing" them to wear those god-awful ugly, hot burkas and make them cover the windows and don't allow them to walk around without an escort and won't allow them to hold jobs and stone them for anything....yeah! I'd say you treat them like dogs - slaves!!!! NO you shouldn't but you do! Basically I believe part of the probelm is that you really don't like your women. I also think a lot of the men are perverts...

  • @breezynorthwind A lot of the men..almost every man in the world is a pervert. And you stated heinous crime before..those heinous crimes are no different from the white guy across the street who beats his wife, or the black mom who sets her house on fire, or the regular kid who blows up his school. The point is, you can't target them because they're Muslim, bc it doens't have to do with their RELIGION, it has to do with their CULTURE--understand the difference and education yourself on the two.

  • @ronnie1817 I didn't say anything about being Muslim. I am referring to the CULTUREof the people - whether it's their culture or religion - i don't care!. It's the vicious abuse I find to be intolerable. If you are bad, you're bad. Of course, it can be in America or anywhere. Any kind of abuse or mistreatment of women, children by men is what needs to be addressed and taken care of - something has to be done.

  • @ronnie1817 The muslim men should be able to control themselves. To force women to wear the burka because the man will be tempted is admitting the men have no control of their behavior (obviously not since they stone women, etc). The men are admitting they are inferior, since they don't have self-control which is basically saying they are like a dog and can't control themselves if they see a women not wearing a burka. Don't force the women to pay for your weaknesses and inferiority.

  • @ronnie1817 Getting beaten by your husband if you don't obey him is NOT okay. It is not only physical abuse, but a very serious form of quid-pro-quo (read: emotional and often sexual rape). There is no excuse for this behavior. Furthermore, the Qur'an also dictates that it is the FINAL word of Allah and under no circumstances may be disobeyed or questioned under penalty of DEATH. Islam is custom-tailored to resist reformation of any kind.

  • @Gluck987 That's right - they even give lessons on how to beat your wife - it is crazy! These men are absolutely insane and evil. To be so obsessed with how to beat your wife and actually give lessons on how to control them and the whole abusive way of thinking makes me ill. The men that do this should all be stoned - they are too far gone to ever change.

  • @Gluck987 tons of muslim women are not married, we out number our men like crazy, and plenty of us my self included are unwed women fully covered, and more over, increasingly women wearing niqaabs and burkas are more so natives from the western countries themselves and not from foreign countries, like my all american self, its not a sign of subservience, how ever forcing a woman out of her choice of dress forces her into subservience and submitting to the will of a man, contradiction indeed

  • @aaronsummers100 saying you were born in turkey and "supposed to be muslim" lends you no credibility on the contrary it sets you up for exactly the type of bias you came with, burkas signify a women submitting her will to her LORD! plenty of muslim mean are steadily trying to get their women OUT of the burka fearing for their lives and their citizenship, it is the women themselves, convinced by God and their religion who are holding it down and refusing to bow their foreheads to sarkozy

  • Those men obviously are keeping them at home over a burka, so they are not giving them rights. whats wrong with just wearing a scarf obviously case proven.

  • We should all strive for a burqa-less world.

  • If you don't like it go home. Oh wait your homes are shitholes because of what you ways and beliefs did to them.

  • WELL DONE TO THE FRENCH!!! and that coming from a brit>>>> at last a country that says, your welcome here, but you have to adhere to our way of life, this is our country, and your religion comes second to our nation... we should do the same in Britain.

  • Slowly but slowly women have been getting treated like first class citizens now, just like blacks have been slowly but slowly being treated as humans now in the UK, France, Holland, Australia, USA, Canada (not sure if Spain, Italy and the rest of Europe thinks so, but anyway things will CHANGE)

If there is one thing you dogmatic followers of ignorance need to grasp is that the world and the universe is flux, so get with the f@@king programme CHANGE

  • And it is also anti-social, you don’t need a Phd in Psychology to understand that the FACE is vital in social interaction, so why the f@@k do you cover it up when out in society! And also how do you expect to work among others, so your also economically limited. Hijab is fine of course because it is practical and perfectly REASONable

  • This law is for everyone not jut Muslims. So Muslims stop trying to make yourself feel special. You just don’t get it do you? What with your biased Islamic outlook, you just cannot see the other point of view

  • Those women are slave, like in a prison just because they are women. With this kind of culture, we will end endgoing backward,to a time when women didn't vote, inferior because they are women. Those women are in self denial and pose a danger ti women in the west who fought for their right. BAN THE NO FACE, NINJA OUTFIT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

  • Those women has no access to the sun on their face. It's for their own good, human body need vitamin D, for agaisnt cancer, strong bones, agaisnt diseases especially in Europe where you don't get much sun. Can you imagine someone dress like that doing snorkelling, swimming, jogging, owning a business, be a leader (without a face)

  • VIVE LA FRANCE!

  • If you want to wear the burka, why come to Europe? Or is it just that you are invaders. Oh, you are? Well go away please.

  • France was the first country in Europe to get rid of monarchy, and will be the first to get rid of this scumbags. OUT! GET THEM OUT!

  • @mcmlxvi When I see a woman in a burka it really just takes me back is scares me. So sad, obviously no one has asked the women witness protection sort of way if they really want to wear a burka.

  • We could do with someone like Sarkozy here in Australia. In alot of countries everyones politically correct or afraid of a "backlash". People like Sarkozy, Bruni, Hirsi Ali, Darwish, and once Fortuyn, tell it like it is, and tell everyine else where to shove it.

  • Ban the fucking thing here too.

  • The problem is not the Islam or Muslims or burqa in Europe the problem is the dirty media and the criminal politician who would like to create hate among the Muslims and the local people by Islam phobia. I request to every non-Muslims dont be the victim of the Zionist control media whose aim spread hate and create conflict between Muslims and other community just to blame Islam. But god will punish these criminal Jews one day by the hands of one more Christian Hitler or Muslims Hitler

  • @dpremi1126 Actually the media is one off the most liberal places in politics, and most hateful against non-muslims. Its important to know that Islam is worst than said on TV, ALWAYS.

  • @dpremi1126 opps///sorry I AM BACK...I had to go VOMIT after reading so much TAQQYIA...

  • Go France! Go Sarkozy!

  • Sarkozy wants all women to be whores like his mother.

  • @smooth7fires Good point. The reason Nicolas Midget Hungarian ZioNazi Sarkozy despises the burka is that burka ladies and modestly attired women aren't susceptible to prostitution, promiscuity, being fashion victims, or mindless consumers of merchandise and advertising that benefits the zioNazi business. prostitutes & porn queens (he married one) are better for ZioNazi business

  • Burqa "ladies" (ugly fucking arab cattle) wear it because they are terrorists, or as anopen refusalof European culture, and you welcome it because noone can see how much you beat them up when raping them. Burqa should be stripped off anyone on the spot on the excuse of terrorist symbolism and threat, and if you don't like it, you can leave Europe. For the time being, at least.

  • @decemberthirtytwo Wow what a grezt ZioNAZI you are. Hitler is back and alive!

  • @sufiatheart Proud of that poor word invention of yours? Nazi stands for national socialist, I am neither, besides, islam has more in common with nazi ideology than anything else today. It is only much more barbaric, uneducated, gynophobic, medieval, and antisemitic.

  • @sufiatheart If I have t choose between another Hitler type of a freak shit, or ummah-allah-moongod-worshipping hordes like yourselves, I will make my choice, but let us both hope this choice will not have to be made. Neither of us want it, although I am unsure about your position sometimes, maybe you really are frustrated just wanting to die, like the sick little puppies you are. However, could you please do it at home? We don't really want to clean the messy brainy mass-gravy shit you know.

  • @sufiatheart I think a scarf maybe not such a bad option. There are other ways dressing modestly.

  • If the French do not want the burqa so be it. It is not part of French culture and is actually a religious outfit which is obviously not fitting into their secular society.

  • Sarkozy a little french prick but atleast he has balls, more than i can say for the liberal tards running Britain

  • VIVA LE FRANCE

    Respect from Britain

  • What you can't do in Dubai

KISS or become passionate in public.

DRINK or act drunkenly in public.

SWEAR or make rude gestures in public.

    ENGAGE in homosexuality.

    HAVE sex before marriage.

DRINK even a drop of alcohol before driving.

  • @IloveVarna Lesson for you: don't visit Dubai, no one's begging for you go there

  • Long live Sarkozy!!!

  • Thank you for the lesson!

  • @IloveVarna Right and when there muslim men come to Amreica they do all of the above.

  • Long live Sarkozy.

  • Sakozy - suffers from Little Man syndrome. If a society is so secure, secular and well-grounded why is it so fearful, in a country of like France with 60Million of 500,000 ladies who wear hijab. He is an insecure ZioNazi IsraHelli servant scared of Islam. Well done France - is this little idiot the best your civilisation can produce

  • @sufiatheart Long live Sarkozy!!!You presume to tell me what Isould not do, so

I can say the same :::: Do not live and visite France since you do not agree with the french rules. Right? Stay where the burqa is acceptable by people.

  • Is this the start of things to come?.

  • I don't know in France, but in Italy there's a law that say: "For security reasons ppl cannot go around with theyr face covered. If i go in a muslim country i can't drink alcohol n they don't care that i'm not muslim, so why i have to respect theyr laws n they don't give a fuck to our laws? In ur country u r right to ask me to respect ur law, in my country u have to respect my laws that u like or not: that's it: It doesn't need a big argumente about culture e similar bullshit.

  • It's not like there is already a law in place, they are SPECIFICALLY banning the burqah. Surely you see something wrong with that? Or is the freedom we preach just lip service? Principles are not principles anymore if we can suspend when it is convenient- when we are afraid or when it is regarding people we do not like very much (muslims).

  • Ok let's put it in another way, if u want to drink, or u want build a cattolic church in their countries u'll never get the permission to do it, i'm italian n if i walk in the street with my face covered i'll get stopped n if i find a good cop i just get a big fine, now will u tell me why my government should allow them to walk around with a burqa? It's nothing about religions, i don't like theyr religion n the cattolic religion i like even less.

  • Your first point, while true, is also invalid, just because their countries are doing the wrong thing does not justify another country to do the wrong thing. I agree with you that if there is a law that already exists- such as in italy, then they have to obey it. But in a country that no law against covering the face exists, banning the burqah specifically can definitely be defined taking away a part of their freedoms. I also agree with you in that i like neither religion.

  • Let's face it. Sarkozy is a busted flush. He is a small player on the international stage, in a country (like the UK) with a diminishing influence on world affairs. This is just a piece of window dressing, aimed at right wing, nationalist opinion. It will not have any effect on crime, terrorism or anything else of moment. It is an empty gesture. Bin Laden at large, the western economies in crisis, and the best he can offer is banning an item of clothing. Vive la France!!

  • Comment removed

  • I do not stoop to insults. Obviously some can't string together an intellectual response based on the issues rather than right-wing rants of people who can't tolerate anything but 'the mainstream' how absurd!

Read some history and look outside your little world! The world is full of people who dress differently! What has a nun got under her cloak?

When people fear 'the other' then this is the result.... (see mad rants below!)

  • It's easy to bully a minority as the French colonialists were experts at it! (they ravaged Haiti and many other countries)

These poor countries were subject to invasion, looting, theft, poverty and mass rape- they had the French colonialists to thank for it and just as a reminder the French language was FORCED upon them too!

Now the French head of state has the audasity not to tolerate even a piece of cloth worn by a tiny non-invading minority in HIS country!

  • Burqa is killing the french fashion economy. Sarkozy needs some big business from Arabs he failed to get. His trouble is larger than Burqa, every french is $1.5m in debt. burqa will prevail. dont worry. Descent Muslim women will not shop and that will hurt french pockets.

  • @antizionfighter what???? burka is the most oppressive thing ever. you lot r evil, making girls wear that shit. they gonna be HAPPY to be free from disgusting muslim men who force women to wear that. you are barbarians and you are cruel. men and women are equal, stupid muslim men stop abusing women.

  • @montg2perfection :Keep your gibberish for yourself .These zionist stereotypes about opressing women or force her it is all BS. France will loose history and all what their ancestors fought for (Freedom) by banning simple rights of how people should dress. What Sarkozy do not ban the Jewish Orthodox (Deguisement) ? The Dawrf Sarko will ahve it hard later on.Peace out Mr Zionwest

  • yes wow Mr president nicolas sarkozy ban islam,al muslim must go live in saudi arabia not in our countries, and bring christian arabic here

  • Christians, rise up, and take back your country, and continue to live a Christian life, but do not be gullible and stupid and let others make demands on you, so that they can stealthily and slowly control you and your children. Don't let them take advantage of your kindness. Now is the time to take care of your own, before you can take care of others. Why let the Arab religion and culture control the Western world? This must not happen otherwise you will see the demise of Christian societies.

  • Women in burka should not be allowed period in any Christian society, as a matter of fact, Christians have to rise up and take back their countries before these muslim invade the world like pests to promote their religious beliefs. Most muslim countries harbor fanatics and lots of them are blood shedders and terrorists with evil intentions. They want to take over the world, well Christians and other denominations will not allow it. They want to rule the world, well that is not going to happen.

  • Scrap that

    athiests are taking over now

its time to move past the stone age and stop believing in sky daddies

they only lead to death , war and hate

  • France is a FREE country if you want to be naked but not if you want to cover yourself it's ridiculous.

I don't see the need for the burqa but I think if someone wants to wear something knowone should be able to stop them.

Why doesn't Sarkozy turn his attention to the subservience women who suffer domestic violence or rape endure. Instead of focusing on a few hundred women in France who may or may not be forced to wear the burqa.

  • Obviously you don't get the bigger picture bird brain. If you let this virus spread - first burqa then other stupid religious bullshit and before you know it your whole Democracy is diseased by Islam.

  • One of the fundamental tennets of democracy is Freedom. Yet Sarkozy as a representative of the institution of democracy denies the freedom to wear THIS ISLAMIC religious dress, WHY? This is illogical and discriminatory. Unless he's on the anti-islamic bandwagon.

If tatoos are offensive to some people or hats or balaklavas should the head of state have the right to tell me to remove it? NO it's none of his business and it's contrary to my Human Rights.

  • And once again I have to repeat myself to get the point across cause your head is up your ass. This isn't an issue of Freedom- it's an issue of parasites trying to come into a country that is not theirs and demand the laws be changed so their disgusting offensive practices are not mainstream. Get it now? I'm not about to walk the streets and watch as brainwashed oppressed women walk around wrapped in 50 feet of rag and wonder what that bitch is holding under her coat- like a suicide jacket.

  • I can't believe what an idiot Sarkozy is!

Who the hell is he to tell a woman to remove any item of clothing? He might find it odd, he doesn't have to tell his wife twice she does it for money.

  • If Europe becomes islamic Europeans will leave en masse and what will be left? Another third world shithole.

  • If you want to wear a bikini, you should do it somewhere other than the France.

  • France isn't your country, so if you don't like it, get the HELL out! Go back to your rathole of Islamic filth. France is and always will be a free, democratic and SECULAR country! It will continue to produce many great women who will carry on the traditions and legacies of it's great women like: . Eleanor of Aquitaine . Joan of Arc . Edith Piaf . Marie Antoinette . Coco Chanel . Brigitte Bardot . Marie Curie . Florence Arthaud . Marguerite Duras . Gisele Halimi
  • France is my country, I like it, so I STAY. Immigrate to a country of Atheistic faith.

France is and always will be free, democratic and MUSLIM country!

  • Yeah right! Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not moving anywhere from my country Barbados for a while.

France will NEVER be a Muslim country because the native French will not tolerate you for much longer.

  • Jump off a bridge. Thanks in advance.

  • When you put a woman behind a bikini or topless, she is removed from society.

  • Not true.

  • We cannot accept that women be prisoners behind a bikini, cut off from all dignity, deprived of all identity. The bikini is not a choice; it's a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement.

  • You sound like a complete fool saying that. Typical Muslim cult member, when faced with he dismal status of women in your societies, you turn around and attack free societies.

All men are rapists in Muhammad's eyes. He brainwashed his followers into believing that if they see an uncovered woman, they will be overcomewith lust and will rape her. More lies, from your lying false Prophet's mouth!

  • I detest the exploatation of a woman's body because... in a very disturbing way it associates increased piety with the disappearance of women from society

  • You act as if women's bodies are not exploited in Islam. That is a flat-out lie.

Men have the right to rape thier wives, demand sex whenever they want, girls and women are often forced to undergo clitoris removal, pedophilia is legal, as is polygamy but not polyandry.

While there is some exploitation of women in Western countries, many women CHOOSE to become models, porn stars, actresses, etc. and are happy with it.

Increased piety does mean the disappearance of women from society.

  • @nonclickableaccount No a burqa: "it's a sign of subservience" and not a bikini. And it is not even a fair comparison, because bikinis are used at the beach. Can you understand the diference? Women should be free to use wathever they want, you are against them using what your culture calls depraved clothing, but not all women wants to use a burqa! Free will, Freedom. Try to understand that! Free to use burqa AND whathever women want, without any person pointing fingers at them.

  • Bikini is not welcome in France.

  • good job sarkozy! as a woman, it has always greatly irritated me to see women in free countries wearing the burqa-- a sign of oppression! it is not a matter of religion, it is a matter of liberty for women. anyone who claims it is not "for man," but "for God," has one bad god. i will have no God who tells me i am less than a man, nor would i want a God who tells me a man is less than me! why would your creator want you to hide yourself? is he ashamed? pathetic.

  • This guy is a pervert, and a playboy who is a proud womanizer. as a woman you are a fool because you are shooting yourself in the foot by favoring a pervert many womestern women if they had sense are supposed to be angry with this guy because he wants them to be his masterbation fantasy, he wont admit it in public, but he wound not mind having a orgy with a bunch of veiled woman in his bed, are you a contradictory feminist? who equates nudity as equality?

  • wow, you suck at questioning me. i said nothing about equating nudity and equality. i am opposed to public nudity. you are twisting my words and THAT could be equated to belittling my comments and/or a sign of your insecurity.

  • of course Sarkozy wants to ban anything that is not revealing enough for his perverted viewing pleasures.....didn't you see those photos of him checking out a 16 yr old girl's ass at a international summit?

  • Well done!

  • Finally a politician who actually is open about something that millions of other people are afraid to say out loud. Wow. I never thought i'd say this but GO FRANCE!!!

  • Please stop commenting bad words about womens in Islam, because you dont know our religion Islam respects and protect women in every means on their rights, they are not like the so called liberated womens of Europe and America which is subjected as sex object and commodity. You can see them walking on the streets with their private parts is being displayed in public to attract men to encourage rapes & prostitution.

  • Man doesn't tell me to dress this way, It's a Law from God that I obey, Oppressed is something I'm truly NOT, For liberation is what I've got, It was given to me many years ago, With the right to prosper, the right to grow, I can climb mountains or cross the seas, Expand my mind in all degrees, For God Himself gave us LIB-ER-TY, When He sent Islam, To You and Me
  • You look at me and call me oppressed, Simply because of the way I'm dressed, You know me not for what's inside, You judge the clothing I wear with pride, My body's not for your eyes to hold, You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mold, I'm an individual, I'm no mans slave, It's Allahs pleasure that I only crave, I have a voice so I will be heard, For in my heart I carry His word, "O ye women, wrap close your cloak, So you won't be bothered by ignorant folk".
  • balkanisation!

    20 years last.

  • islam is against human rights! and just go to england their the biggest pussies in europe now

  • viva la resistance!

  • banning it is against human rights, we need another french revolution !

  • You don't understand the nature of Islam. The burqa and frankly all Islamic clothing should be banned. If the government caves into them they will see it as a sign of weakness and will bully the governmet and the people around into finally estabishing France as an Islamic state.

  • The bikini and all Western clothing should be banned.

  • Whatever! ou don't like them because theylibeate women... it represents their freedom of choice and if you don't like it, then leave!

  • you don't like the burqa because it is freedom of choice. if you don't like burqas, then leave France!

  • Get this through your head, France is not a Mlim country. It is a free, secular country where women have rights, unlike in Muslim countries.

The burqa is NOT a freedom of choice because Muslim women seldomly have a choice. They have been brainwashed to think they are lower than low and so have to cover up.

But it's all the resultof Muhammad's unstable and jealous mind.

  • If the burqa is NOT a freedom of choice, the the bikin is ALSO NOT a freedom of choice. Those who wear the bikini are brainwashed by the french, secular propaganda machine.

  • Andwhat isso bad about secualrism may I ask? If it weren;t for it, there would've never been any human progress.

The bikini is a freedom of choice because women can choose to not wear it, they could wear one-piece bathin suits as an alternative.

The burqa is not a choice.

  • Women can NOT chose to wear the burqa. That is a violation of freedom of choice. They can only chose bikinis.

  • That is not true. They have no choice in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, North West Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan, etc.

Besides, you are clearly exagerrating everything, not every woman chooses to wear a bikini, besides there is nothing wrong with it.

It is not fair that a man could wear whatever he likes and women are so restricted. I spit upon Muhammad's grave for introducing these things.

  • The bikini is just a result of western brainwashing propaganda, if women were not brainwashed, they cover themselves up. So, bikini is NOT a freedom of choice - it's brainwash.

  • And why he hell should a woman have to cover herself up just to please you? A woman should be able to wear whatever the hell she likes without fear of repercussions.

The bikini goes back all the way to ancient Rome, there was no propaganda machine back then, so it was a choice.

  • you want to ban burqa, so it is fair to ban bikini's and mankini's

  • On what grounds may I ask?

The burqa is a sing of oppression and female subservience. The bikini is representative of women's liberation and choice, the freedom to sho their bodies and not be ashamed of it.

  • No, the bikini is a sign of sexual subservience to the male sex and is downgrading and opressing women to satisfy men with their bodies.
