I understand and completely sympathize with you on that matter. If I were in the same situation I cannot deny that I would be tempted to do the same. But regardless about the validity of your accusations, my responses to either outcomes have been stated.
@PseudonymousCypher. And? Objectivity is finite. Objectivity is not an absolute, it is only a temporary aspect of functionality relegated to a contextualization. Mankind's concepts are only inventory items within this paradigm. There, now my responses to your delusional beliefs in objectivity" have been stated." Don't be shocked about me shattering the validity of your argument. I am only an ignorant decepticon after all. I should be guided by the superior nerdfighterian belief system. Lol.
First off, I'm amazed at how threatened and angry a group of people who spend most of their time reading young adult fiction and blogging funny pictures. I mean the shear amount of pure disgust and loaded language is frankly just intriguing. Can we really make you that mad? What have we done to you besides defend ourselves?
@PseudonymousCypher. Years ago I had another channel. I dared to speak against a person who got a charge out of feeding his snakes and large lizards live helpless screaming prey. Then I dared to say my mind about how society has gone too far in being politically correct. Yeah I cussed. And? That's when nerdfighters came to my videos and said unspeakable things about my appearance. I didn't even know what a nerdfighter was until that point. I got harrassed by them continually.
I wonder if this anger towards the world and those who try and make it better does not stem from something deeper, unrelated to us. But that leads to your argument that good and bad are subjective. That nothing is better than anything else. And again we find ourselves arguing about the existence of a universal moral law.
@PseudonymousCypher. I got harrassed by nerdfighters continually. One group that likes to watch sick people feed their snakes scared little animals harassed me. That was enough, but when the nerdFIGHTERS started in on me over being against society's overly politically correct agenda I had to give up on my channel. So, I went out with a bang and said my mind with no caution over the guidelines. The nerdfighters way outnumbered the snake sickos and were cruel about my appearance. Now I am back.
@beaviz810izback It is something that can never be completely taken from someone. It is the belief that things can get better. It permeates all mankind, and I cannot ignore it. Hope, Love, the very existence of the concepts of good and evil leads me to believe that they must exist. If they don't, then we truly have no reason to exist. If that I were to accept that as true, then I believe I would unwaveringly and without regret, kill myself.
@beaviz810izback I think I might agree with you about subjectivism except for two main things: first, there exists objectivism. We can measure things like temperature, color, sound, force, in complete, universal ways, ways that defy subjectivism, and so that proves that subjectivism is not an absolute. But more importantly, I cannot accept subjectivism for one simple reason: The universal concept of hope. All mankind has hope.
@PseudonymousCypher. Objectivity is finite. Objectivity is not an absolute, it is only a temporary aspect of functionality relegated to a contextualization. Mankind's concepts are only inventory items within this paradigm. There is an outside. If everybody fit within the confines of an ideology then how could we recognize the superior from inferior? The distinctions would be lost. Stagnancy. There needs to be a contrast. Without that there's no room for human idiocy. No room for the cosmic joke.
@beaviz810izback But the main flaw in subjectivism is that it only works if you apply it to an individual. Yes a room may seem hot to one person and cold to another on an individual level, but get a whole group of people together and then the majority will agree. And yes the majority will sometimes suppress and abuse the minority, but as a whole over time the condition of all mankind will progress. You cannot tell me that the world is not better of now that it was during the Middle Ages.
@beaviz810izback Anyone can be a Nerdfighter. Decepticons are not the world. Decepticons (just as in the anime from which they originate) are those who, although they have the potential to be awesome, instead perform actions which spread only hate, ignorance, and maliciousness. A true Nerdfighter should attack only in defense. Now this leads to your argument that there is no good or evil and that all is subjective.
@beaviz810izback But here is the rub: if your allegations are true, when I confront those who commented against you, I will not forsake them or excommunicate them. Instead I will call attention to their flawed actions and ask them to return to the ideals. I will also tell them, just as I have told you, that they have the potential to create good in this world, to create awe, to be "awesome", and I love them. Just as I love you.
@beaviz810izback Now if what you say is true, than those who commented on your page cannot rightfully claim to be Nerdfighter. Now this exists in all groups: individuals who will use the name as a mask and perform actions that contradict the ideals simply because they know any hate that would normally go to them will go to the group instead (which is exactly what you have done.)
@beaviz810izback When I say I am a Nerdfighter, that means ultimately I am no associating myself with a community, I am not even associating myself with John and Hank: I am associating myself with a set of ideals and parameters which I have accepted to live my life by. If I do not fall within these parameters, I cannot call myself a Nerdfighter.
@beaviz810izback First and foremost, I would like to see this channel and these comments if it still exists. If this is impossible, than I cannot with firm conviction take a side on the matter seeing as (and I do not in any way mean to challenge your integrity) it may be fictitious. However, if such allocations were true, I would personally message each individual who associates themselves as a Nerdfighter and confront them.
@PseudonymousCypher. The channel is long since been closed, you believe in goodness and hope. Therefore you're going to have to take my word for it as best as you're willing to accept, after all it would supposedly be against your way to just blindly choose a "side." After the mean spirited insults & being harrassed by nerdfighters, in anger I did go too far in things I said which destroyed any credibility. I lost my composure.
But ultimately, you say that human existence is nothing. That we should just sit and wallow and do whatever is best in our own eyes until we die, until all of humanity turns to dust. If that is your view of a just and proper life, I feel sorry for you. Sorry that you will never know the joy that comes from encouraging someone’s creativity and seeing their face light up as you tell them they are awesome.
Sorry that you will never feel the warm sense of love and comradery when thousands of people you don’t even know do the same for you. Sorry you will never know the sense of joy and accomplishment from raising 74,000 dollars for various charities and helping others feel better about their lives. You ask what gives us the right to say that what we are doing is actually helping the world. You ask what makes our actions awesome, how we define world suck.
This is just me talking now, but I believe that what makes our actions just is witnessing how many people are touched by our acts, how many people are lifted up to a happier place. What drives me is not selfishness or pride, but hope. Hope that my actions will help others see how amazing and beautiful this universe truly can be. Hope, that others will realize how greatly they are loved. The 'pats on the back' I referred to are when fellow Nerdfighters encourage one another and love each other
There is absolutely nothing selfish about that, but rather a selflessness. So that is my reply to you: I try and make this world a better place, based on the authority of hope and love which my actions bring about in this world. And you know what, you are only a deception by choice. Your actions only world-suck based on their own merit. (oh and comparing Nerdfighteria to Hitler's Genocide? Seriously? That is all kinds of false analogy)
@PseudonymousCypher. I didn't compare the nazis to nerdfighteria. I gave an example of opposites who think they are justified. But you are obviously too ignorant to figure that one out. It is that kind of ignorance that has you wanting to belong in a mindless prideful egoic herd. Love? If nerdfighteria is love to you then you are truly lost. That's why you feel the need to belong in it to begin with. TRUE love is unconditional, FOR EXAMPLE: If you changed your ideology you'd be cast away.
So, if someone doesn't hold the same ideology as nerdfighteria then they only have the POTENTIAL to be "awesome" ?? Just who is the authority on what "awesome" is? You? The vlogbros? Certainly not me right? Of course not me! I'm a "decepticon" right? It's funny, nerdfighteria claims it's accepting and tolerant. Really? You should go to my vids about nerdfighters and read the comments. A lot of the PM's from them are disgusting and classless. Nerdfighteria island? I hope you do all segregate.
@beaviz810izback First, I do not know why your comment was deleted, but I have taken the liberty of watching your videos and reading your comments. I saw a good deal of anger and hate. And yes many Nerdfighters responded in kind, and in a sense that is understandable. Just as you respond to hate with hate, so do they. It is a natural response.. However, as Nerdfighters, we should strive to be greater than that. In a way I agree with you, and challenge my fellows to hold to our principles.
@beaviz810izback And I will admit I too have strayed from the ideals set forth by the Nerdfighter community. But that is just it. They are Ideals. We will inevitably fall short of them. But at least we can say we try. We try to be better people. We try to make the world just a little better. We have principles, and we try to stay with them.
What about you? What are your principles? You condone us a good deal but I have yet to hear you explain how you think a just life should be led.
@beaviz810izback it is much easier to go around knocking down other children's towers than it is to build your own. Life is far easier to live when you never try to become anything greater than what you are. But we cannot accept that. We would rather aspire to something greater and fail than to accept that we cannot make the world better. Wallowing in the imperfection of the world tends only leads to a bitter, spiteful life, and bitter, spiteful people.
@PseudonymousCypher. You don't know what I do in my spare time. Unlike nerdfighteria I don't desire any pat on a prideful back for public benevolence. I can & will say that I certainly don't make misanthrope videos all day every day. If you nerdfighters can slip up on the attachments to your ideology than I can say my mind here too. In the end who is the authority in how a life is run? Life is a subjective cosmic joke and nerdfighteria will never be above the "decepticons."
. And no one, not you, not any living soul, can break our fellowship. So go ahead and wallow in the filth of your world, let it devour your hope and humanity, but we will strive for greater things. You are so greatly deserving of love, why do you squander it so? I know that I am loved, my community shows me every day. And you know what, I love you. I hope you have a nice life. That you are content with the world you see. I know I am.
@beaviz810izback We desire reassurance from each other, we hold one another up, keep one another strong. We have created a community, founded on fellowship, anchored in knowledge, and secure in happiness and a nerdy wonder of the world. We stand as a beacon on light in an ignorant world, we are not content with this broken place.
@PseudonymousCypher. You don't get it do you? A fixed up world to you is broken to another. It is all subjective. Once again, WHO or what group is the authority in how everything should be? Why do you clowns think that your ways are the way to finding some "greater" existance. Who are you all to say? Hmm? After all, you think I'm wrong. So YOU'RE ideology is BETTER?
@beaviz810izback . So you spew even more hatred, trying to knock us down, bring us back down into the filth of this subjective cosmic joke. But I have some news for you: We will never be broken. You and others may pull us down, but we will get right back up. Because we are not driven by hatred, or self interest. We are guided by ideals, grounded in our faith in the abilities of mankind. Yes we desire pats on the back, but not from you.
@PseudonymousCypher. I'm not trying to "knock" you all down. I'm trying to get you to understand that your CLAN isn't any better than anyone else. Your clan's way isn't going to fix this world. This world is what it is by "design." In the grand scheme of things you aren't going to fix the human condition. The interaction humanity has IS the human condition! Do you want a nerd world? Hitler wanted a German world! "Better" is all subjective.
@beaviz810izback Those who cannot accept that the world must be chaotic filth. People who strive for better. For a sense of goodness and justice and that there is some greater sense of morality in this world. And you hate that because if we are right, than your whole world is broken . You cant just go around spewing hate, you would have to be accountable. And the groups like us aren't failing. We are banding together, slowly but surely rising above the filth of this world, and it scares you.
@PseudonymousCypher. You said "Yes we desire pats on the back, but not from you. " No s**t! Really? Well Gee Golly Wally batman I didn't know that! Of course not, I'm not in the clan club. I'm not GOOD enough, I am a "decepticon." But if I change I'll be BETTER. Pats on the back. That's pride. Pride motivates what? The ego. The self. Desiring that is SELFISH. It serves YOU more than it does the ones you give to! That's what motivates you all! That's been my point.
@PseudonymousCypher. You aren't rising above anything. All nerdfighteria does is give itself kudos. If there was no pride for the self then you all wouldn't even BOTHER to give. You don't think goodness and justice is subjective? Take two opposing sides for example and all you get is each side thinking that it is right and justified. What's bad is good to another. You cannot deny that. That is subjectivity. Who are you to decide what is good for the world?
@beaviz810izback . And you love that don't you? You love that because it means that you never have to try. You never have to do any great good, not held accountable to any universal moral law. We are the all singing all dancing crap of the world, and you love it. But then you see groups of people like the Nerdfighters.
@beaviz810izback I think I am finally starting to understand your argument. You see the world as a giant joke, a F you to all mankind. You don't believe in a moral code, or right and wrong. It is a "subjective cosmic joke". Nothing matters. We are all just dirt writhing around in the filth of the world until we once more become dust.
@PseudonymousCypher. Is nerdfighteria the end all and be all? Is mankind the end all and be all of consciousness? If you think human consciousness is the end all be all then that is just truly sad. What does mankind REALLY know? Nerdfighteria represents the miserable human condition well. After all, nerdfighteria FIGHTS! nerdFIGHTERS! Yeah! Fight against the decepticons! Tell us decepticons how things should be and how we are "world suck." Yeah don't give up changing the world how YOU want it!
Ah, I see the vbros chose to delete a comment I made at PseudonymousCypher. It would have to be the vbros who deleted it because there isn't even a "comment removed" area left. So it's obvious that I didn't remove it. Why? Why would they do that? I didn't cuss or say anything classless in it. Why that comment and not the others? I certainly didn't say or ask anything inappropriate. In fact the deleted comment was MILDER than my other ones here. @ the vlogbros, explain why. Did I hit a nerve?
@beaviz810izback I' sorry if I confused you. I derived your potential for awesomeness from the fact that you are human. "Mankind has this unique gift of consciousness. It is rare, and it is beautiful, and we should be wise in how we spend it." Your consciousness grants you the potential to do something constructive. Something positive that inspires "awe". That potential is not unique to Nerdfighters, but to all humanity. We merely like to celebrate it more than most.
So on my part, I am sorry that you do not hold our beliefs about the morality and integrity of Nerdfighteria, but you are still a human and as such have the potential to be incredibly awesome. And so, I love you. (in a strictly fraternal sense.)
@PseudonymousCypher. Who are you talking to in that comment? So, if someone doesn't hold the same ideology as nerdfighteria then they only have the POTENTIAL to be "awesome" ?? Just who is the authority on what "awesome" is? You? The vbros? Certainly not me right? Of course not me! I'm a "decepticon right?
1. I like how please of moderation are continually ignored. 2: arguing with emotional, close-minded individuals is never going to work because 3. said individuals only argue as a way of feeling validated. They feel important because they can illicit reactions. Therefore, the most logical way to contest said individuals is to completely ignore them, leaving their lives devoid of all purpose or meaning. Based on this, I suggest an end to arguing, an instead love and tolerate the shit out of him.
They are benevolent. That's what makes them awesome. They don't do what you think they should? Perfect, that makes them awesomer. Simply put they're two awesome peeps who do the best they can do. Don't like it? Don't watch :/ Seriously XD
what we pay for is essentially the ultimate backstage pass for our favorite author and musician. They let us into their lives, they spend large chunks of their finite time in this world to make us laugh, help us learn, and make our lives better. Whatever I pay for a shirt or CD or book (which only serve to better my life further) I feel is but an infinitely small fraction of what they pay for us. So yes they do sell themselves, and I am more than happy to buy. (wow that sounds creepy...)
While I don't want to unleash any more giant squids of anger, I think you are all being a little too extreamists. To an extent, yes beav is right: John and Hank do use their videos to help promote their products at times. Anyone who tries to argue this needs just watch any of the newer videos and wait to hear "links to pre-order in the dooblydoo(sp?)." But honestly I don't care, because frankly I enjoy their products, and i feel the content to price ratio here makes for a Phenominal deal.
@TheVWRabbitGTI. Did I say they should just give and not make a living? No. I'm saying they could've made their living as the book writer and musician WITHOUT making their giving known. All they had to do was make their channel only about the book writing and music! That's not difficult. They are using benevolence as a tool to gain more $ and popularity. That's low. It's a cheap tactic. Even IF it's just to gain popularity and not make any money. Using benevolence as a tool to gain is wrong.
@beaviz810izback I really hate to break it to you but musicians and authors do not make good salaries. If youtube is a way of income and people enjoy it, so be it. Clearly you've never had to make a living. The fact that you're insulting children's entertainment does not make you a better person. Please grow up and learn about the real world.
@sireenn. Musicians and authors not making a lot of money is their fault. Not mine. It's really low of them to use benevolence as a way to gain poularity and profit. It's their trump card, it works but it's a trump card. "Clearly" I've never had to make a living? Lol ha ha ha!!!!!! I'm "clearly" doing decent enough. I have my car I bought (not leased and fully paid for) new & "clearly" detailed at least twice a year. I "clearly" know the real world & know the vbros are ripping it off. Clearly.
@beaviz810izback GIVE UP!! There are about 20 commenters here who all disagree with you. Go back to watching the one charity video you've ever seen and stop poisoning Nerdfighteria.
@SmileyFacesUnite. So because I'm outnumbered that makes me wrong? The "one" charity video I've ever seen huh? "Poisoning" nerdfighteria? Nerdfighteria does that to itself. Nerdfighteria serves the vbros and creates vain close minded people who are full of pride and ego. Nerdfighteria is only open to it's own ideology. It is behind a veil and doesn't want another perspective. Anymore "awesomeness" and it'll make a hippy commune like Osho did. Nerdfighteria commune island. How about Alcatraz!
@hr2damax. Durrrrr!!!! Is that all you have to say? Is that it? Behold the dumbass hr2damax, he can only regurgitate what wannabe Dr. Seuss rip offs say! Yay!! Durrrrr!!!! Instead of debating the content you say this crap? If you nerdfighters want any true praxis "decrease world suck" then you're going to have to grow up and stop the childish & asinine regurgitations. The world isn't going to notice you on a significant level until you do.
I got to download a 20 sec. vid that was actually uploaded. Shame my internet is crap and I wouldn't be able to watch the livestream even if it worked
I need a hug huh? What if I already get those from the ones who love me? Back to the Vbros. Hey, is it that difficult to be a non factor when giving to charity? Look at Paul Newman, he funded a children's cancer camp type of thing and no one knew he was the one who funded it, untill he got very ill. Be an unknown SELFLESS giver. No pat on the back, that's TRUE charity! Give what the receiver needs, not what you need. ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffujjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjiUSA
If I actually get a John Green book in my posession I will tear it to shreds, use it as toilet paper, put it under the drive wheels of my car and floor the accelerator and burn it all on camera for you all to see. If his face is anywhere in it I'll rip it out, put it in the toilet and shit on it. The Vbros are in the business of benevolence. They make a profit off of charity. They are selfish givers, not selfless givers. They are not non factors. They WANT a pat on the prideful egoic backs.
@beaviz810izback Look, even if they make money whilst helping others (which I am 100% sure they don't) I would rather there was two more people in the world giving whilst taking a share then not helping charities at all. Learn to apreciate what some people are doing and maybe take insperation and try to help out yourself. I'm sure it would be a far better use of your time than doing all the things you previously listed...
@Fulton6104. I'd rather NOT be inspired by egoic nerds who are so PROUD of themselves for being charitable.......& making a profit off of it all. Hey, if they want to endorse charity without actually telling that they give then great! Using charity to gain recognition is selfish. It only serves to just sell more of their stuff so they can make a profit for themselves. Ego and pride, wanting a pat on the back for charity is world suck.
@bailey51634.
@beaviz810izback You're confusing anonymity with selflessness. Just because they openly associate themselves with charity and gain followers from it does not mean it's a stunt for popularity. Celebrities give tons of money and time to charities all the time, not because they want popularity but because they care about an issue. The charities they work to help benefit just as much - if not more than - them from their donations and the donations of their followers. That's ultimately what matters.
@JJFLIP101. Giving to charity anonymously IS selfless. Check out "Spiritual Practices Part 2" by SageBodisattva here on youtube. Well, Paul Newman didn't make himself known as the one who kept up that cancer camp for children. Read about it. You all think my insignificant "misanthrope" stuff hurts the world but it's actually you people who are screwing it up. You don't even know what selflessness is nor do you want to know! Only selflessness will improve humanity.
@beaviz810izback Only selflessness will improve humanity? Tell that to the community of people in Haiti who - thanks to the support of the Hank Green - now have a source of clean water and a more sustainable community. I'm not denying that anonymity is a noble thing to do. But it's not the only thing to do.
@JJFLIP101. The clean source of water for Haiti will help THEM sure. But it won't help all of humanity. Selflessness has the potential to be limitless. Known givers have limitations because only so many can be known for it. Pride and ego has limitations. The vbros could've done that good deed and not had cameras or publicity present. They didn't have to say they gave to charity in the first place. That's not difficult to do. Just be completely selfless.
@beaviz810izback What benefits are they reaping from public charity, other than creating a community based in helping others and decreasing world suck? And more importantly, what limitations is the lack of anonymity present? I'm sorry if I'm missing your point here, I just don't understand what exactly they denied that Haitian community by publicly supporting them and raising awareness about an important issue.
@JJFLIP101. What benefits are the reaping? Uh well, they use the recognition from being charitable to sell more of their crap & be popular. One writes books and the other does horrible music. They sell this crap and make a profit for themselves. Without their recognition from being charitable do gooders they wouldn't get near the sales they do. They wouldn't get near the profit. The desire the recognition because they are self important. "Spiritual Practices - Part 2" by SageBodisattva.
@JJFLIP101. What are the limitations from the lack of being anonymous? It teaches people that only being well known for something is worth the effort. The nerdfighters SEE what the vbros are doing and want to do THAT. People should be taught complete selflessness, to be consciously aware that publictiy isn't needed. If you don't think people are inspired the way I say they are then just watch the television and see people's behaviors reflect it.
@beaviz810izback Okay, I recognize that effect and respect your opinion in that regard; but at the same time, what's the alternative? At least they're setting an example of charity. Yes, they're saying people will congratulate you for it, but they're also saying "You can make a difference. You can make this Haitian kid smile. You can change a life." And I think that message is better than no message at all. Nerdfighters don't just see the publicity. They see the selflessness, too.
@JJFLIP101. Does their recognition for being charitable make them better people? Did you watch that video I recomended? Think about this now, think. Any motivation in ADDITION to caring about others is for the SELF. Vbros don't give a message of complete selfless unconditional giving. They should and it matters. They could have! The "yeah but yeah but" stuff doesn't make any other motivation acceptable & definetly NOT ideal. Put the self aside and the whole world will evolve.
@beaviz810izback I completely agree with you in selflessness should not bring about benefit for oneself. But I don't think it's reasonable to say that you disagree with how they specifically handle their charitable endeavors. Speaking the Haiti instance - since it's easiest example for me to work with - Hank has an obligation to post a video of his life every other day. What would you have done in his situation?
@JJFLIP101. True selflessness CAN'T bring a benefit for the giver. It only serves. Hank has absolutely no "obligation" to post videos lol. What would I do in his shoes? I wouldn't make my help and charitable donations available to be seen on the internet or any other source. I wouldn't accept any cameras in my face. I would avoid giving out my name to onlookers. Desiring to be cast in a favorable light isn't reasonable. The favorable light only seves the self.
@beaviz810izback Haha, he doesn't have an obligation per se, but people would notice if he wasn't posting them. I know I certainly would have been very concerned.
I agree with your definition of selflessness and the ideal form of charity idealistically. But practically, that can't be executed for everyone in every situation. I don't think that a hatred of the VlogBrothers can be justified by solely those ideas. I think there's a lot more to them and their charity that you have to consider.
@JJFLIP101. It's only not "practical" to the ego. If you want to enable ego I can't stop you. I'm just trying to make you be at least AWARE of what's going on here. The vbros never had to reveal their giving in the first place. It really is that simple, just don't make your efforts known outside of the effort. Avoiding recognition for it is only complicated because you all make it complicated! You just cannot IMAGINE the possibility of you or anybody else giving then stepping aside. That's sad.
@beaviz810izback I really don't think you're logically assessing this situation. How would you make your efforts unknown outside the effort if you were in their position, posting video blogs of your life to make your living?
@JJFLIP101. They CREATED their position. They didn't have to post anything of themselves talking about and even showing their charity. Hmm, you said "of your life to make a living?" Here's the thing. To sell they could've made their channel about their work as the book writer and musician ONLY. Not what they gave to charity. They are relying on their benevolence to sell the books and music to make a PROFIT. Recognition from giving is their TOOL to gain $ and popularity. GAIN, you see.
@beaviz810izback I don't think you're familiar with the way the VlogBrothers work. If this channel were to have just been about their music and books, it wouldn't be half of what it is. The VlogBrothers are about educating and sharing with a community, not about shamelessly promoting themselves. Their kindness and projects like P4A never serve as plugs for their outside endeavors. (In fact, for this P4A Hank helped support Alex Day's music campaign without even mentioning his personal projects.)
@JJFLIP101. No problem, they could show their books, music and share education with the "community." They never had to make their charitable efforts known. Once again, they are using benevolence as a tool to get recognition and make a profit. Making a profit is fine as long as that profit isn't a result of being known as any charitable giver. Giver, as in donating money and digging wells, stuff like that. The rest are insignificant details.
IF I CAN'T LIKE OR DISLIKE A VIDEO BECAUSE IT HASN'T BEEN AIRED YET, WHY IS THERE ALREADY 1 LIKE?! Youtube needs to stop kidding people about their popularity. :P
hello ! HERE ,A nice place ---- T' a'' ll h' u 'b. С'⊙'M '--- it's the most effective site in the world to connect with, date and marry tall people.. It's worthy a try.
I understand and completely sympathize with you on that matter. If I were in the same situation I cannot deny that I would be tempted to do the same. But regardless about the validity of your accusations, my responses to either outcomes have been stated.

@PseudonymousCypher. I got harrassed by them continually.
beaviz810izback 3 weeks ago
I wonder if this anger towards the world and those who try and make it better does not stem from something deeper, unrelated to us. But that leads to your argument that good and bad are subjective. That nothing is better than anything else. And again we find ourselves arguing about the existence of a universal moral law.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago

PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago

@beaviz810izback I think I might agree with you about subjectivism except for two main things: first, there exists objectivism. We can measure things like temperature, color, sound, force, in complete, universal ways, ways that defy subjectivism, and so that proves that subjectivism is not an absolute. But more importantly, I cannot accept subjectivism for one simple reason: The universal concept of hope. All mankind has hope.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
@PseudonymousCypher. Objectivity is finite. Objectivity is not an absolute, it is only a temporary aspect of functionality relegated to a contextualization. Mankind's concepts are only inventory items within this paradigm. There is an outside. If everybody fit within the confines of an ideology then how could we recognize the superior from inferior? The distinctions would be lost. Stagnancy. There needs to be a contrast. Without that there's no room for human idiocy. No room for the cosmic joke.
beaviz810izback 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback But the main flaw in subjectivism is that it only works if you apply it to an individual. Yes a room may seem hot to one person and cold to another on an individual level, but get a whole group of people together and then the majority will agree. And yes the majority will sometimes suppress and abuse the minority, but as a whole over time the condition of all mankind will progress. You cannot tell me that the world is not better of now that it was during the Middle Ages.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback Anyone can be a Nerdfighter. Decepticons are not the world. Decepticons (just as in the anime from which they originate) are those who, although they have the potential to be awesome, instead perform actions which spread only hate, ignorance, and maliciousness. A true Nerdfighter should attack only in defense. Now this leads to your argument that there is no good or evil and that all is subjective.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback But here is the rub: if your allegations are true, when I confront those who commented against you, I will not forsake them or excommunicate them. Instead I will call attention to their flawed actions and ask them to return to the ideals. I will also tell them, just as I have told you, that they have the potential to create good in this world, to create awe, to be "awesome", and I love them. Just as I love you.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback Now if what you say is true, than those who commented on your page cannot rightfully claim to be Nerdfighter. Now this exists in all groups: individuals who will use the name as a mask and perform actions that contradict the ideals simply because they know any hate that would normally go to them will go to the group instead (which is exactly what you have done.)
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback When I say I am a Nerdfighter, that means ultimately I am no associating myself with a community, I am not even associating myself with John and Hank: I am associating myself with a set of ideals and parameters which I have accepted to live my life by. If I do not fall within these parameters, I cannot call myself a Nerdfighter.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback First and foremost, I would like to see this channel and these comments if it still exists. If this is impossible, than I cannot with firm conviction take a side on the matter seeing as (and I do not in any way mean to challenge your integrity) it may be fictitious. However, if such allocations were true, I would personally message each individual who associates themselves as a Nerdfighter and confront them.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
@PseudonymousCypher. I lost my composure.
beaviz810izback 3 weeks ago
But ultimately, you say that human existence is nothing. That we should just sit and wallow and do whatever is best in our own eyes until we die, until all of humanity turns to dust. If that is your view of a just and proper life, I feel sorry for you. Sorry that you will never know the joy that comes from encouraging someone’s creativity and seeing their face light up as you tell them they are awesome.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
Sorry that you will never feel the warm sense of love and comradery when thousands of people you don’t even know do the same for you. Sorry you will never know the sense of joy and accomplishment from raising 74,000 dollars for various charities and helping others feel better about their lives. You ask what gives us the right to say that what we are doing is actually helping the world. You ask what makes our actions awesome, how we define world suck.
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
This is just me talking now, but I believe that what makes our actions just is witnessing how many people are touched by our acts, how many people are lifted up to a happier place. What drives me is not selfishness or pride, but hope. Hope that my actions will help others see how amazing and beautiful this universe truly can be. Hope, that others will realize how greatly they are loved. The 'pats on the back' I referred to are when fellow Nerdfighters encourage one another and love each other
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
There is absolutely nothing selfish about that, but rather a selflessness. So that is my reply to you: I try and make this world a better place, based on the authority of hope and love which my actions bring about in this world. And you know what, you are only a deception by choice. Your actions only world-suck based on their own merit. (oh and comparing Nerdfighteria to Hitler's Genocide? Seriously? That is all kinds of false analogy)
PseudonymousCypher 3 weeks ago
@PseudonymousCypher. TRUE love is unconditional, FOR EXAMPLE: If you changed your ideology you'd be cast away.
beaviz810izback 3 weeks ago
So, if someone doesn't hold the same ideology as nerdfighteria then they only have the POTENTIAL to be "awesome" ?? Just who is the authority on what "awesome" is? You? The vlogbros? Certainly not me right? Of course not me! I'm a "decepticon" right? It's funny, nerdfighteria claims it's accepting and tolerant. Really? You should go to my vids about nerdfighters and read the comments. A lot of the PM's from them are disgusting and classless. Nerdfighteria island? I hope you do all segregate.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback First, I do not know why your comment was deleted, but I have taken the liberty of watching your videos and reading your comments. I saw a good deal of anger and hate. And yes many Nerdfighters responded in kind, and in a sense that is understandable. Just as you respond to hate with hate, so do they. It is a natural response.. However, as Nerdfighters, we should strive to be greater than that. In a way I agree with you, and challenge my fellows to hold to our principles.
PseudonymousCypher 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback And I will admit I too have strayed from the ideals set forth by the Nerdfighter community. But that is just it. They are Ideals. We will inevitably fall short of them. But at least we can say we try. We try to be better people. We try to make the world just a little better. We have principles, and we try to stay with them.
What about you? What are your principles? You condone us a good deal but I have yet to hear you explain how you think a just life should be led.
PseudonymousCypher 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback it is much easier to go around knocking down other children's towers than it is to build your own. Life is far easier to live when you never try to become anything greater than what you are. But we cannot accept that. We would rather aspire to something greater and fail than to accept that we cannot make the world better. Wallowing in the imperfection of the world tends only leads to a bitter, spiteful life, and bitter, spiteful people.
PseudonymousCypher 1 month ago
@PseudonymousCypher. You don't know what I do in my spare time. Unlike nerdfighteria I don't desire any pat on a prideful back for public benevolence. I can & will say that I certainly don't make misanthrope videos all day every day. If you nerdfighters can slip up on the attachments to your ideology than I can say my mind here too. In the end who is the authority in how a life is run? Life is a subjective cosmic joke and nerdfighteria will never be above the "decepticons."
beaviz810izback 4 weeks ago
PseudonymousCypher 4 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback We desire reassurance from each other, we hold one another up, keep one another strong. We have created a community, founded on fellowship, anchored in knowledge, and secure in happiness and a nerdy wonder of the world. We stand as a beacon on light in an ignorant world, we are not content with this broken place.
PseudonymousCypher 4 weeks ago
@PseudonymousCypher. You don't get it do you? A fixed up world to you is broken to another. It is all subjective. Once again, WHO or what group is the authority in how everything should be? Why do you clowns think that your ways are the way to finding some "greater" existance. Who are you all to say? Hmm? After all, you think I'm wrong. So YOU'RE ideology is BETTER?
beaviz810izback 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback . So you spew even more hatred, trying to knock us down, bring us back down into the filth of this subjective cosmic joke. But I have some news for you: We will never be broken. You and others may pull us down, but we will get right back up. Because we are not driven by hatred, or self interest. We are guided by ideals, grounded in our faith in the abilities of mankind. Yes we desire pats on the back, but not from you.
PseudonymousCypher 4 weeks ago
@PseudonymousCypher. "Better" is all subjective.
beaviz810izback 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback Those who cannot accept that the world must be chaotic filth. People who strive for better. For a sense of goodness and justice and that there is some greater sense of morality in this world. And you hate that because if we are right, than your whole world is broken . You cant just go around spewing hate, you would have to be accountable. And the groups like us aren't failing. We are banding together, slowly but surely rising above the filth of this world, and it scares you.
PseudonymousCypher 4 weeks ago
@PseudonymousCypher. That's been my point.
beaviz810izback 3 weeks ago
@PseudonymousCypher. You aren't rising above anything. All nerdfighteria does is give itself kudos. If there was no pride for the self then you all wouldn't even BOTHER to give. You don't think goodness and justice is subjective? Take two opposing sides for example and all you get is each side thinking that it is right and justified. What's bad is good to another. You cannot deny that. That is subjectivity. Who are you to decide what is good for the world?
beaviz810izback 3 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback . And you love that don't you? You love that because it means that you never have to try. You never have to do any great good, not held accountable to any universal moral law. We are the all singing all dancing crap of the world, and you love it. But then you see groups of people like the Nerdfighters.
PseudonymousCypher 4 weeks ago
@beaviz810izback I think I am finally starting to understand your argument. You see the world as a giant joke, a F you to all mankind. You don't believe in a moral code, or right and wrong. It is a "subjective cosmic joke". Nothing matters. We are all just dirt writhing around in the filth of the world until we once more become dust.
PseudonymousCypher 4 weeks ago
@PseudonymousCypher.

@beaviz810izback I' sorry if I confused you. I derived your potential for awesomeness from the fact that you are human. "Mankind has this unique gift of consciousness. Based on this, I suggest an end to arguing, an instead love and tolerate the shit out of him.

what we pay for is essentially the ultimate backstage pass for our favorite author and musician.

Using benevolence as a tool to gain is wrong.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback I really hate to break it to you but musicians and authors do not make good salaries. If youtube is a way of income and people enjoy it, so be it. If his face is anywhere in it I'll rip it out, put it in the toilet and shit on it. The Vbros are in the business of benevolence. They make a profit off of charity. They are selfish givers, not selfless givers. They are not non factors. They WANT a pat on the prideful egoic backs.

@beaviz810izback Look, even if they make money whilst helping others (which I am 100% sure they don't) I would rather there was two more people in the world giving whilst taking a share then not helping charities at all. beaviz810izback 1 month ago
JJFLIP101 1 month ago
Only selflessness will improve humanity.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback Only selflessness will improve humanity? Tell that to the community of people in Haiti who - thanks to the support of the Hank Green - now have a source of clean water and a more sustainable community. I'm not denying that anonymity is a noble thing to do. But it's not the only thing to do.
JJFLIP101 1 month ago
Just be completely selfless.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback What benefits are they reaping from public charity, other than creating a community based in helping others and decreasing world suck? And more importantly, what limitations is the lack of anonymity present? I'm sorry if I'm missing your point here, I just don't understand what exactly they denied that Haitian community by publicly supporting them and raising awareness about an important issue.
JJFLIP101 1 month ago
"Spiritual Practices - Part 2" by SageBodisattva.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@JJFLIP101. What are the limitations from the lack of being anonymous? It teaches people that only being well known for something is worth the effort. The nerdfighters SEE what the vbros are doing and want to do THAT. People should be taught complete selflessness, to be consciously aware that publictiy isn't needed. If you don't think people are inspired the way I say they are then just watch the television and see people's behaviors reflect it.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago

Put the self aside and the whole world will evolve.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback I completely agree with you in selflessness should not bring about benefit for oneself. But I don't think it's reasonable to say that you disagree with how they specifically handle their charitable endeavors. Speaking the Haiti instance - since it's easiest example for me to work with - Hank has an obligation to post a video of his life every other day. What would you have done in his situation?
JJFLIP101 1 month ago
The favorable light only seves the self.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback Haha, he doesn't have an obligation per se, but people would notice if he wasn't posting them. I know I certainly would have been very concerned.
I agree with your definition of selflessness and the ideal form of charity idealistically. But practically, that can't be executed for everyone in every situation. I don't think that a hatred of the VlogBrothers can be justified by solely those ideas. I think there's a lot more to them and their charity that you have to consider.
JJFLIP101 1 month ago
That's sad.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback I really don't think you're logically assessing this situation. How would you make your efforts unknown outside the effort if you were in their position, posting video blogs of your life to make your living?
JJFLIP101 1 month ago
GAIN, you see.
beaviz810izback 1 month ago
@beaviz810izback I don't think you're familiar with the way the VlogBrothers work. If this channel were to have just been about their music and books, it wouldn't be half of what it is. The VlogBrothers are about educating and sharing with a community, not about shamelessly promoting themselves. Their kindness and projects like P4A never serve as plugs for their outside endeavors. (In fact, for this P4A Hank helped support Alex Day's music campaign without even mentioning his personal projects.)
JJFLIP101 1 month ago
