The Brooklands is powered by a 6.75 litre Bentley/Rolls-Royce twin-turbocharged V8 engine designed (in its modern form) in the 50's and the original design going all the way back to 1904. Development and use of the Bentley V8 engine can be said to have been exclusively a Bentley enterprise. VW or the Germans had nothing to do with this Engine.

Bentley do have their own Engineers you know for both road and race cars, why do you think it was just the Germans who squeezed a1000 torques out of it? Just because Bentley is a subsidary of VW it dosn't mean that Bentley can't produce and make its own Engines. Again the Engine is developed in house by Bentley Engineers. If it was a VW supplied engine then i would agree with you, but this isnt.

@05Rudey because it didn't have a thousand before vw took it over and vw normally puts its hands in everything they make, like the Gallardo, first lambo designed by the germans after being bought by VW, they also designed the mucielago and every other car lambo currently produces, the veyron is completely designed by VW, so i just assumed when i made my first comment that it was modified by the Germans, since they do it to all their subsidiary companies. Did you actually read any of my comments? Lets make it short and sweat, the Brooklands is a Bentley made and desinged in the UK, the Engine, Designed by Rolls-Royce/Bentley 60 odd years ago was Engineered by Bentley not VW, it was tuned and refined by Bentley Engineers, not VW Engineers

Now if we was talking about the Bentley Continental GT with its VW-W12 Engine i would agree with you, but the Engine in the Brooklands is desinged and eingineered by Bentley not VW.

Amazing car. If you buy such a car you never should sell it. With all the attention to detail and the superb quality, this is a work of art. In my opinion cars such as the Brooklands and Arnage T are what I would call a Bentley but not the Continental GT.

That Brooklands is just brilliant. 185 mph is quite fast for a car that weighs over 2 tons but £240,000 is a lot of money.

Saying that if I could afford a Brooklands then I would definately get a Brooklands.
