Well...In my view Chris and Kelly are very talented artists.I like Radiohead and as I've listened to Thom Yorke's voice I don't believe Chris Corner to be trying to resemble him.There is a special vocal register known as falsetto and it can be used by whoever who wants to use it.Jeff Buckley used to sing with a falsetto register,Jónsi uses it and a large number of artists as well.Chris is an inspired performer and producer and Kelly has a sweet voice.I adore them!!!!They're unique!!!

back in the 90s i heard 'spin spin sugar' and 'six underground' and totally dismissed them. this past month i have "rediscovered" the sneaker pimps and i have to say chris corner is freakin' amazing. he always sounds amazing live, and he's a true performer. i don't have anything against kelli, but it's clear the girl can't imitate the way she was made to sound on the recordings in her live performances.

Chris is pretty good live also !! Keli and the band done "Spin Spin Suger" LIVE on TFI FRIDAY back when the album was out and she sang it perfecto !! She also looked like a Vamp Sex Kitten ! That helped !! Peace Ye`all !!

I can honestly say that after the female lead singer was out of the Sneaker Pimps I have not liked any songs they have produced since. This performance is just fine and I have tried to listen to the male vocalist and just find it to be rubbish.

Chris is so vibrant live. Kelli was alright in the studio. First time I saw the Sneaker Pimps, all I knew was Becoming X, but after seeing what an electrifying front man Chris is, I can see why they kicked out Kelli. He adds miles of depth and emotion Kelli could never produce.

This is a awesome song and love the guitar/keyboard solo thing near the end. I think both singers are awesome and give the song two different feels. For those who don't like to hear Kelli live just turn off the sound and watch how sexy she is! Does anyone know if brit/english is her first laguage?

so, what if maybe she was not properly trained to sing live or to sing at all? she had a unique voice and that's something you cannot get even with all the training in the world...at least she's being honest and doesn't try to imitate anyone, not like Chris who always try too hard to sound like a hybrid between Thom York and Brian Molko...honestly, I think Chris should just focus in writing the music, which he does brillaintly.

The pimps demise was caving in to record execs, and of course chris corner not manning up to front the band as a lead singer from the get go. Their songs were good no matter who sung it.

As far as chris sounding like thom yorke, or molko.

1st off yorke has wider range. 2nd molko has a very paper-thin nasal sounding voice.

I have Becoming X and have had it for years. Its the only bit of SP I've ever heard. I love every song on the album, and love Kelli's voice. When I saw this video its the first time I've heard her sing live. I was amazed at how obviously edited her voice was on the album because she clearly cannot sing! I just heard Chris sing this solo and though I'm convinced neither sing well live, he definitely has better control over his voice than she. Either way Becoming X is great album IMO

Also, they said themselves that she wanted to start writing the songs. Think how you'd feel, if someone wanted to hijack your art, and make it into something else. They didn't trust her songwriting, and having listened to her solo stuff, I agree it wouldn't be SP anymore if she took over. Of course those who only liked the band for Kelli wouldn't dig the new stuff. But I like all the albums.

The cool thing is here is now a video up with Chris singing this song live. I'm not dispuing that Kelli is a good singer on record, but his voice in that video is easily miles better than Kelli's is in this.

I heard some speculation that she was asked to leave because she wanted to write/contribute more songs for their next release. I think it was a big loss. I'm on board with their musical ideas & creativity, but Kelli's voice was a big part of how I identified the band. Thanks for posting this clip!

Kelli is a phenomenon.Her volume level in this live mix is placed too low therefore not allowing the subtleties of her tone to come through and instead giving it an "anxious" sound unlike the studio version.Ya,and those boys were jealous dweebs for axing her.
