anyone out here please help me idk weather or not to get 2" torsion keys on my truck like i wanted to go with or a 4" lift because ive heard i lot about how the keys make your ride stiff and screw up your alinment. i need yalls opinions please

@tomfan180 id go with the 4in lift man. torsion keys wont mess your alignment up unless you crank them to high.i get the lift measure the rear then if you wnt it level crnk the torsion bars to level it thats wht id do to be honest man.

how do you got 15" wheels? those trucks dont fit wheels under 16" is the smallest diameter you can go. i got the same year truck

throw sum 38s on that. 35s fit stock trucks with just sum keys. yur lucky to a suspension. hell 39s might fit

@joe98stang prolly if u want more tire clearance a body lift and if u only want suspension lift and dont have to much cash get torsion keys they are like 128 bucks and yull be able to put atleast 33 12.5s on it

@Gibson393 thanks for the ideas... sucks i had to sell it i didnt want to invest the money that i was going to have to invest to fix it up alwell i still have my 1996 F150 with the 351 Windsor the only thing that sucks its not 4wd but ive never gotten stuck :) and last winter we had a heck of a snow storm my truck made it through no prob i had cheap tires too. ya got to love ya Fords

@ytown3 you sound like the guy to ask based on the comment. i have a 97 expedition and am wanting to fit 35s on it. want to lift it 2 inches in the front and 3 in the back. i want the slant. anyway. i wanted to know for sure i would clear the up and down movement of the 35's before i buy the tires

@tbonetwood1 ya cause i have a new truck and it has a 2 in body lift with 35's but u will have to cut the fender flares alittle just dont crank the torsion bars cause thatll fuck shit up if u take it off roading

@Gibson393 so you would you recommend torsion keys or what on the front end then. everybody ive talk to that cranked the torsion bars 2 1/2 inches or less the only problem they had was getting it re aligned. im just asking to know what to expect and what way to do it is best

@tbonetwood1 if yur puttin the levelin kit on there like aftermarket torsion keys u will get more then 2in. its takes atleast 2.5 or 3in to clear 35 in front and yull b alot better off if you leave the back stock height, ive never seen a truck look good with front lower than back. you gotta have the back sqautin hard. atleast thats how we do it in south carolina

@ytown3 my expedition sits 36 inches ground to fender front and back. i pull alot is why i want the higher rear so its rides better with a loaded trailer. i figured it runs on 265 70 17 now wich is 31 inch tall and i want 315 70 which is 35 so if i brought it up 2 iches then the tires id get 4 in front and 5 in back when it was done. if i lifted it 2 or 2 1/2 the 2 1/2 inch taller tire would clear the same as whats there
