  • BIBLE WAS A MISTAKE

  • Why are there less than 300 supernova rings--who says there are? Just like the claim there is only one supernova every 30 years, that's simply a statement of how many we OBSERVE. Of course we observe more supernova than supernova rings--supernova are far more visible than pretty much anything.

Boyle's Gas Law doesn't work when the hot gas is sitting in empty space--the outer layers would just radiate heat until it's cool enough to keep collapsing and putting more pressure on the hot core.

  • It's almost disturbing how easy it is for me to refute Hovind's ridiculous claims. He is either deliberately lying or is just completely fucking stupid. Either way, he has no business talking about science.

I would write a long, drawn out statement refuting the claims myself, but the majority of them can either be dismissed by logic alone, or by reading "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawkings. If I can say one thing, it's that Hovind appears to ignore the effects of gravity entirely.

  • i like how people attack hovind, this only proves that evolution is more incorrect than originally thought.

  • where can i buy this entire comedy DVD ?

  • What's the need for astronomers, physicists, geologists...?

Hovind's got all the answeres for you on the tip of his fingers, thanks to the Bible (King James version, of course).

  • also this video is old as hell. we have seen stars form now through infrared light.

  • nova comes from spanish? you people are so very stupid. you like getting lied to? nova comes from the latin word novus which means new. nova comes from spanish lol how stupid are you people? everything he is saying is a blatant lie.

  • No, he didn't say "Nova" comes from Spanish. He just said that in Spanish it means "no go".

How stupid are we people? At least we can understand the video.

  • On January 19, 2007 Hovind was sentenced to ten years in prison and ordered to pay the federal government restitution of over $600,000. After his prison term finishes he will serve another three years of probation. During the sentencing phase, a tearful Hovind had hoped to avoid prison and told the court, "If it's just money the IRS wants, there are thousands of people out there who will help pay the money they want so I can go back out there and preach.

  • That's right, attack the messenger rather than the message. Well done.

  • apparently creationist debate among themeselves who has the most logical bullshit.

  • I hope he is enjoying prison

  • God didnt say anything; Man said it and claims he did. I hope people dont take what you say to seriously mate. You Fool!

  • If light speed can change, relativity is wrong, relativity is accepted by creationists, so your shooting your own feet.

  • If God woud have put the stars 6000 light years away Guess what .

    We would burn up.

The stars are just far away to let this be a habitable planet.

    Thank God

  • That's one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever read on Youtube.

Our Sun is a star. It is 8 light minutes away and yet we haven't burned up.

  • I am sorry if you think it is ridiculous but it is true . If the universe were smaller we would not exist. If there were less stars we would not exist.

God did put the stars 13.6 billion light years away. Or this would not be a habitable planet.

I didnt say he took 13.6 billion years to do it.

Of course i didnt say he didnt.

neither is contrary to the bible.

The sun is not the only star friend.

76 tillion stars. If they were only 6000 light years away there would be no earth,

  • actaully if there was just one more star the size of the sun next to us we would burn up.

  • Not that ridiculous if you think about it dude. I mean the close proximity of stars will add up to a very very hot planet. It is only 8 minutes away, and yet a few more miles closers and we would "burn up" (by which i do not mean literally, but it would be far to hot to sustain life")

  • I really can't see his train of thought. He never answered the first question, how can we see the light from the stars that are far away? He started with this but did not answer it.

  • Watch them all.

  • hahaha - so what if you're right, which i doubt . . . . . .islam's coming to eat you

  • lol don't make me laugh. The only way to be a Muslim is to be born into it. Nobody converts to it, unless they are forced to or are a nutcase.

All Muslims will realise they were wrong to deny God once they reach Hell.

  • "The only way to be a Muslim is to be born into it.

Nobody converts to it, unless they are forced to or are a nutcase"

    Haaahahahahaha!!

And that doesn't sound strangely familiar to you?

  • If you are referring to Christianity, no. Nobody is born into Christianity. You have to make a conscious decision and be baptised.

  • Infants do not make "conscious decisions".

Children do not make "conscious decisions".

In ANY culture, you are likely to be inducted into the religion of your parents.

That's why the "Christian Nations" ARE "Christian Nations".

  • I see you have declared yourself the law giver of when someone can make a conscious decision.

At what age can someone make a conscious decision and how did you come to that conclusion?

What makes a nation a Christian nation? Perhaps you could name some.

  • "I see you have declared yourself the law giver of when someone can make a conscious decision."

    Sheesh! What, are you 13?

    Just arguing to argue?

  • If you do not wish for me to reply to your comments, don't comment on my videos.

  • "If you do not wish for me to reply to your comments"

I didn't ask you to not reply...

but I did expect reason. I'll try to spell it out for you though.

"...the law giver of when someone can make a conscious decision"

    No, that's nature.

    Infants OUGHT to be obvious.

A child who is still trying to make sense of what he/she sees shouldn't be "babtized" into that which can only be imagined.

"Christian Nation" = A nation (usually Western) where Xianity is the predominate religion.

  • Nature? I'd sure like to meet this "Nature", he must be some wise and powerful being.

I agree, a child who is still trying to make sense of what they see shouldn't be baptised. Which is why my church advocate believers baptism. Christenings as a baby counts for nothing because they aren't able to decide.

Which is why I argue that nobody can be born into Christianity like you can in Islam.

  • "I'd sure like to meet this "Nature", he must be some wise and powerful being."

    We're done.

  • lol

  • "Perhaps you could name some."

The U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Britain, France, Dominican Republic...

    You get the idea.

There was nothing "controversial" about my 2nd post.

    Nothing really provocative.

Mexicans used to pray to Quetzalcoatl, after subjigation by Xians they now prey to Jesus...

    Tomorrow's children of Mexico...

I'll bet on Jesus. Nothing "irrational" about what I said.

Common sense really, that most ppl wouldn't find anything to argue with.

  • He has absolutely no idea what he is talking about!

  • First of all, scientists estimate the universe to be about 13.5 billion years old plus or minus about 120 million years. Not 20 billion. Secondly, where did this man's claim of the "only 300 nova rings" part come from? Which, by the way, he says proves that the universe is about 9 thousand years old!LOL

Did I miss something? I thought the universe was only 6 thou years old according to the "GOOD BOOK" this man so blindly believes in!

So why is he even opening his mouth!? I'm confused.

  • The "estimated age" of the universe changes all the time.

1 every 30 years is an aproximate. It suggeests that the universe is only few thousand years old, not billions.

9000 is much closer to 6000 than the billions that most scientists believe.

  • Yeah, sod evidence. Sod reason. Lets believe shit = science. At this rate of scientific driscovery we should be completely ignorant in about 100 years.

  • evolution says nothing about the stars this man doesnt know what hes talking about

  • Cosmic evolution says a lot about the stars actually.

I take it you're a rookie on this subject.

  • he said evolution

  • And?

There's 6 types of evolution. Only one of the happens.

  • Anyway - how do we see stars far away? Never got to that bit.

  • Oh dear. Never mind the nonsense he spouts - can't you tell by his whole demeanour that he is a liar and charlatan?

  • He's only using secular science against them. Anyone can find the info like he did and see that it goes against themselves.

Kent just puts it into plain English so everyone can understand it.

  • What science? He is making it up. Show me some evidence for what he says (sorry - the bible doesn't count - the creation stories of bronze-age nomadic tribes are worthless as a source of the truth of how it all started). Creationist websites are no good either - they sup from the same poisoned well as convict 237655412 Hovind.

  • He cites every source, so you can look it up for yourself.

  • All his references refer to things not seen or understood YET. God of the gaps. If you take that as proof you better take the fact that no one has unambiguously seen an angel, theists have yet to find... etc. If what Hovind says about the age of the Earth is true, it is not only the theory of evolution which is refuted, but our understanding of geology, history, astronomy, cosmology, linguistics, taxonomy, paleontology - every ology but christian theology.

  • It is not a fact that nobody has seen an angel though.

"our understanding", er no. You mean, secular false interpretation.

  • No one has ever seen an angel, as they don't exist. I actually said 'unambiguously seen' referring to one of his references, but I don't mind.

What is with this 'secular' stuff? Are you saying that science should be done only by priests? I hate to use the argument from authority, but are you seriously saying that all those people who spent their lives studying the above subjects are wrong - completely, off-the-board, mistaken?

  • Angels do exist and people have seen them.

No I'm not saying you have to be a priest to be a scientist. I am also not saying that all science is wrong.

  • I am not going to argue about fucking angels.

  • My whole point is that you are saying all science is wrong if you give this charlatan any credence.

  • No creationist says all science is wrong.

  • yeah, but evolution people are the ones who constantly make this false logic that evolution is science, and therefore if creationists don't believe in evolution they therefore don't believe in science.

    It keeps them happy, though.

  • Not to mention Hovind's favourite tactic - quote mining.

  • Yes the universe is a little snowglobe, god shakes once in awhile, says Hovind and continues, i like to think that way.

Yes your stupidiness to grasp even simple physics, amkes you a prime candidate for the darwin awards..i wonder how jailis treating him, poetic justice ;)

  • Ok I'm sorry I got tired of waiting for Hovind to answer the question. I appreciate you allowing comments though. :D

    One more thing...

"But I did not say that all the stars are within a 6000 light year radius"

Ummm not exactly. But does Hovind understand what a light year is?

Never seen stars form? Dust can't form into solids? Do some research on Orion Nebula. The Hubble Telescope is Hovinds worse nightmare.

    "Who said anything about a

  • Ok... I'm now at about 3 min. Why is it taking him forever to answer a simple question?
