See the periodic flashes of light thats plasma. This was filmed in bright daylight and was using only a few watts of power to produce flashes of yellow and redish pink that seemed very bright even in daylight.
There were two distinct reactions occuring in the electrolyte which contained KOH and fine carbon particles insulated in a polystyrene coating.
Plasma in this case is the fourth state of matter. 1) solid 2)liquid 3)gas/vapour 4)plasma.
Plasma is a highly energised/excited state that matter takes when energy levels reached allow their electrons to break their bond to the atom and move freely. Usually plasma takes the form of a glowing gasious substance. Plasma exists naturally on the sun, in lightening or man made in flourescent lamps, T.V.s etc.Plasma allows reactions that would rearly occur in nature on earth including fusion.
Plasma is just superheated gas,a spark is just ionised gas. Most experiments are using a secondary power supply to (Piggy back) off the initial ionising spark, usually at a higher frequency which acts more like D.C.current. This allows the initial ionised gas to allow current flow at a lower voltage, but maintains a superheated flow path through the gas where it has a lower resistance. I use 5.5Kv initial spark and 240v full wave rectified at 100Hz to maintain plasma arc on most experiments.
Hello Chris, I am trying to explode atomised H2o with a plasma spark via a normal plug. Can you advise on the best circuit to use and components . I have a 12v inverter but am looking at best way in which to make this work?
Sorry to take 7 months. Somehow I am not getting notification of comments on my old videos anymore. I have sent you a personal message on your channel with a link to a circuit diagram. It is not my work its from a guy called Terro. My circuit is slightly different as it is not used in a motor vehicle. Hope it is what you are looking for. Regards ChrisPCrunchy.
I am working on cheap and easily available additives to put in water to modify the process (notice the colour of the water) so it can be used in a conventional un-modified engines.Still a long way to go.
Nice icecream container, i've seen many of those in my day, the sad thing is i think your icecream melted... damn that plasma, very common problem, i hate it when that happens!!!

Hello Crhis:
Congratulations for your experiments!!
Podrias to indicate myself with major presicion, since doing to answer this your experience? Have you some web whom consulting?
Thank you Rodi

standard ignition coil output to spark plug is about 2.4kv for each cylinder at combustion engine.
if you just replace the ignition coil with higher capacity..wouldn't that make plasma spark?

Hi Chris
Can you tell me where I would find a circuit diagram to create a plasma spark from a normal plug ?
Thanks

There are many ways to do this. Which system you would use depends on what you are trying to do.
