I own this model, and I've never used the web-mode thing. Honestly, with any computer I buy, the first thing I do is format the HD and reinstall Windows without all that nasty bloatware from the manufacturer.

I have the same model and yesterday I got a SMART event asking me to replace my hard drive and I was badly surprised that it's a toshiba HDD inside !, is this normal ? I mean I bought a Sony not a Toshiba laptop?!! also can you show me what HDD to buy and is it easy to replace it myself ?

hey hi i got the exact same model u got and i was wondering if u could help me out, i just formatted mine with w7 ultimate but the thing is i cant find the drivers to activate all of my function keys and also my vaio bottom the one next to display off, i already downloaded the necessary stuff at the sony site but theres allot of vaio crap i don't really need i just need the exact names of the drivers so i don't download useless stuff .......thanx .....o and great laptop u got there!! lol

the web button takes 20 sec to open the web.. while the macbook air 2010 only takes 15 to full boot... =)

I have the VPC CW26FG.Core i5 with Nvidia 330m card. This is easily the best laptop I've ever owned. The only thing that I don't like is the short battery life but I don't really use DC power that often. I use this as a desktop replacement. It's so powerful.

@agustineg2 Nah, mine's white. Had it for over a year and still perfectly white :)

It's actually easier to keep clean, as you can see even the small marks and so you can wipe them off easier, where as with black laptops you don't even realize how dirty they are.

Do you experience grease problems with the palmrest? It's just, It's glossy and my hands tend to get sweaty when I'm stressed out=)

And I really want another Vaio-laptop (S-series screen is too small, F-series is too big and the rest is crap =D )

The only thing I don't really like about this computer is its integrated Nvidia video chip. I'm sure for strategy games you will be fine but a game like Dragon Age will need to be played on lowest settings. In all honesty, this is more of a multimedia laptop than a gaming laptop. How do you like yours so far?

This laptop comes with either the nvidia 210m, 230m, or 330m. Which are dedicated cards with 512mb of memory.
