I just bought FC2 from Amazon for £1.99. I've got a bunch of games on a list that I have really enjoyed in the past but don't own a boxed copy of and FC2 was #3 on the list.

As a shooter, this game is fairly average. What makes it awesome is the atmosphere. When you're out in the middle of nowhere at night and the wind is rustling the trees, or when you're creeping up on an enemy base and the suspenseful music comes on, or when out of nowhere it suddenly starts thundering and raining.

Stop complaining about the 15 bullets needed to kill an enemy. It This is not ArmA II or Ghost Recon , it's Far Cry 2 , and it's not like if you were lacking of bullets in this game, ammo is everywhere. All you have to do is to press left mouse button a little bit more.

I played the game till the end... I played it on a hard level!

The game isn´t "hard" - it´s not that I´m to stupid to play it properly... as a matter of fact I play FPS since DOOM .... it´s just buggy...unfinished... it´s a mess, ´cause it could have been SOOOOOOOOOO much better, if the "little bugs" and "get it finished - Pressure" wouldn´t make it the way it is!

after all the good responses to the game, I wanted to give it another try!

But pumpin´whole mags of ammo into an enemy until he´s going to die is ridiculous (well, yes - you can give him a single headshot - but hey - it´s a guy wearing a f******* t-shirt) ... and after the following situation i deleted it from disk:

wearing stealth aquipment I entered an enemy outpost at night and crouched towards an enemy.I kill him with the knife and everyone at the base shoots at me.. seriously:stupid game

@sirandelot When you knife someone they scream, and the other guys hear them. If you want to be stealthy, use a Silenced Pistol or Gun, and aim to the head. If you hit them in the legs or in the chest, they scream. Try that =)

@sirandelot did you even aim?! i can get them killed in three shoots without shooting them in the head . and when you knifed that guy at night. where did you knife him? because you need to stick a knife into a persons body >.< the best place to do it might be into his mouth so that they wont scream. but if you knife his back then he will start screaming and then you will be sitting there with 10 guys shooting at you. and if you mst kill evry one in one bullet then just go get a sniper rifle.

Both this and MW2 get repetitive at least this has map editor to give it good replay value. All MW2 gives you is repetitive multiplayer and a subpar run of the mill campaign. I mean its the same thing all the time, get new guns, get attachments, shoot some noobs, rank up, prestige.
