  • this is absurd. YES ON 8!!

  • this is absurd. YES ON 8!!

  • @XxDeathBellsxX dont be a hater!!!!

  • uhhmm, okay, the other video had nice music in the bacground - here it's all noise! That's just one thing that's wrong with your "research". I do not think this is a fair interpretations. I hope your intentions were good at least.

  • seperate but "equal" has never been equal in the usa thats the same as saying its ok to be black but plz dont use that bathroom whites only.

  • This video is completely biased.

On the other video, you made everything look happy and bright and had happy music and never once asked if they're old enough to vote. On this video, the car noises drown out what the people are saying and you push the fact that 'They can't vote, oh well.' to show that what they think doesn't matter because they can't vote on it anyway.

  • I have respect for this guy after watching this video.

  • @I203r

    appreciated.

  • @vintageyellow71 i'm sorry but as a gay Californian who went threw the whole prop 8 thing in high school, seeing all these ignorant assholes cheer about prop 8 on my campus about how the"fags" can't get married made my blood boil. i cannot have peace of mind knowing that these haters won. i just can't i'm sorry.

  • @admboy09 That's horrible. I'm so sorry. :( EVERYONE should be able to get married, even those ignorant douchebags on your campus.

  • I love gay people! :)

  • THE DEVIL COSTUME IS SIMPLY A SATIRIC STATEMENT ON THE FACT THAT most people who say YES based on religion...

  • The difference for a black and white person is ones a man and ones a women, and two gays are not.

  • I would imagine it would be difficult to articulate a position of minority discrimination. But I do appreciate that you took time to interview and listen to the opposition. Everyone on the yes side does have rights and no one is trying to take them away. I also saw a lot of Yes on 8 protests with a lot of "non-voters". The No on 8 non-voters will be of voting age soon and they will be the majority soon.

  • I love SCV keep fighting the good fight.

  • I was ON one of those street corners (just not in that city)! So sad it passed... :(

  • yes on 8!! :D

  • sorry to burst your bubble guys.... but "GOD" did not write the bible.....

  • Only now are people trying to get marriage and after that happens i kid you not polygamy well be also non banned. There are already people in other states having gay marriage soon polygamy well follow.

  • "do you guys feel that gay relationships are just as normal as heterosexual relationships?

    "YA"

they didn't even have to pause im so proud

  • Here's a simple question: why does the Judeo-Christian god, Yahweh, not appear in the historical record much before 1000 BC,, whereas the Egyptian and Sumerian gods predate him by at least 2000 years? You'd think the "real" god would take precedence over the rest of them.

Too bad Yahweh is really only one of the 70 sons of El, the chief-god of the Canaanites.

  • "God intended it this way" is not a legitimate reason to oppose gay marriage. For that argument to work, you must 1) assume one believes in God, or at the very least believes the Bible is actually God's word, and 2) be completely ignorant to the Constitution and it's clear stance on separation of church and state.

  • @dustinjt "God intended it this way" is not a legitimate reason to oppose gay marriage"

-The institution of marriage came from religion, you can not believe in marriage and not believe in religion, that's absurd, your counter-argument is absurd and ignorant.

  • @thetruth6789

Actually there are various forms of marriage in all cultures, though all basically similar. Marriage predates Judaism and Christianity. In fact, Comanches (a Native American tribe) were marrying millenniums before being introduced to European culture.

Not only that, but many animals are monogamous creatures (as well as display homosexual characteristics, btw). Marriage is a natural union between loving adult creatures.

So, you're wrong. On several counts.

  • @dustinjt The word marriage is not used in those culture, therefore it is not marriage, much more those cultures do not adhere to European or American religions.

  • @thetruth6789 That's just stupid.

  • @dustinjt And much more all those cultures agree that marriage is between a man and a woman.

  • @thetruth6789 Gay marriage is legal all over the world. So, you're wrong. Again.

  • @thetruth6789 Gay marriage (full marriage, not just civil unions) is currently legal in Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Iceland and Argentina. Ironically all nations of mostly Christian residents.

  • @thetruth6789 No I didn't. I said gay marriage is legal all over the world. I see how that can be misinterpreted, but I'm not responsible for what you infer.

  • @thetruth6789 Those aren't countries on different continents all over the world? Should I google you a map?

  • @dustinjt " but many animals are monogamous creatures "

-Are you lumping Humans in with the animal kingdom?.

  • @thetruth6789 Yes. That's a stupid question. Humans are part of the animal kingdom.

  • @thetruth6789 LOL.

  • @dustinjt "Marriage is a natural union between loving adult creatures"

-Have you read the definition of marriage?. For one it is not "natural", it is man made, and yes it is a union, but not between any two adult creatures, they must both be from the opposite sex.

  • @thetruth6789 "Marriage" is an arbitrary word applied to a long-term monogamous relationship. Monogamous relationships exist in nature. Moreover, homosexual relationships exist in nature.

The only difference is the formal ceremony which humans have (a ceremony, btw, that exists millenniums before Christianity). However, animals do have rituals when they enter into relationships.

  • @dustinjt "Marriage" is an arbitrary word applied to a long-term monogamous relationship"

-Marriage is a word that anglican Christians have been using for hundreds of years.

  • @thetruth6789 I'm really not sure how long the word "marriage" has been in use, but marriage was around long before Christianity.

  • @thetruth6789 Homo sapiens are mammals, mammals are animals. Any questions?

  • @thetruth6789 You're cute when you try to sound smart. Finally using the power of the internet. Humans are animals. They're intelligent animals--the most intelligent animals. But they're animals. This is apparent to anyone with at least an 8th grade education. Except you. Unless you're 13. Please be 13.

  • @dustinjt Colloquially speaking homosapiens are not animals.

  • @thetruth6789 That's just a stupid statement. Take a biology class.

  • @dustinjt I think you need to take a biology class, because there is no such thing as a "gay gene".

  • @thetruth6789 Seriously. This is the internet. Use google.

  • @dustinjt "Moreover, homosexual relationships exist in nature"

-What is your point?. You are just spewing pointless facts that don't prove or disprove anything. Just because homosexuality exists does not make it the norm.

  • @thetruth6789 I'm making excellent points that completely refute your worldview, and you just simply can't take it. Homosexual behavior is completely natural and occurs in nature (in fact, only 4-6% of the human population has never had homosexual urges). Marriage was around millenniums before Christianity. Gay marriage was prevalent in Ancient civilizations.

This is a fun debate. You make me feel really, really smart.

  • @thetruth6789 Except for all those facts I brought up and then you didn't refute.

  • @dustinjt You brought up no facts, all of your points are based on misinformation and ignorance, I have refuted each one as non-factual, arbitrary and unstubstantial.

  • @thetruth6789 You dug yourself in big little guy. You can't present any facts. You came into the argument thinking God's word was the only word, and you can't ran over with facts and science. Get used to it. Your life will be full of moments like this.

Next time, keep your faith-based opinions to yourself, and let the big boys debate the facts.

  • @dustinjt "Homosexual behavior is completely natural and occurs in nature (in fact, only 4-6% of the human population has never had homosexual urges)"

-You're out of your mind, if that were true the human race would be extinct by now.

  • @thetruth6789 It's true, get over it. Homosexuality is completely true. More proof is seen in a Harvard study which found the "gay gene" in lab mice. Not only did they locate the gene, but they were able to "turn it on and off."

  • @dustinjt There is no gay gene, where do you get this from, you are so misinformed and ignorant.

  • @thetruth6789 It has not been found in humans, but as I said, it was found in lab mice. Though, I may have been wrong about the institution. The following link is from Korea (though I'm confident there was also an American study--use Google):

    zmescience (dot) com/ medicine/ genetic/ gay-gene-found-lesbian-mice-study-0232321/

Remove the spaces to follow the link.

  • @dustinjt That is not a credible study done by American geneticists, plus it was on mice, this does not prove anything.

  • @thetruth6789 LOL.

    1. Korean scientists are just as credible as American scientists.

    2. Your belief is that homosexuality is unnatural, and I have provided examples proving that it occurs in nature. In the Harvard study, the scientist said that finding the "gay gene" in humans would be more difficult, but the fact that it exists in one animal is enough to infer that it exists in all animals displaying homosexual behavior.

    3. It prove I'm right and you're wrong. Na-na-na-nanana.

  • @dustinjt "Korean scientists are just as credible as American scientists"

    -No they are not.

  • @thetruth6789 That's yet another incredibly stupid statement.

If nothing else, you're quite entertaining.

  • @dustinjt "Your belief is that homosexuality is "

-Because it is, if everyone had homosexual tendencies intelligent life would not exist, and homosexuality is not the norm.

  • @thetruth6789 I didn't say that. I said that only 4-6% of all people have not had homosexual urges. On the flip side, only 4-6% of all people have ONLY homosexual urges.

Additionally, 35% are largely heterosexual with only slight homosexual urges, and 35% are largely homosexual with only slight heterosexual urges. The remaining 20% is bisexually, with half of them leaning heterosexual, and half leaning homosexual.

These numbers were compiled by a panel of world-renowned psychologists.

  • @thetruth6789 Additionally, homosexuality performs an important evolutionary purpose. Population control.

It also performs an important societal purpose, and that's childcare. Gay couples don't produce offspring of their own, but they do adopt children who are abandoned by their heterosexual parents.

This is a characteristic of an obviously very intelligent and advanced society. A society with a segment of the population more willing than other segments to care for children not biology related

  • @dustinjt Homosexuality is not the norm though, nothing you have said has proven this, not even your bogus links to bogus studies or even your bogus percentages that you make up.

  • @thetruth6789 Yeah, yeah, yeah... facts have an inherently liberal bias. If you can't accept the facts, don't get into a debate.

To your point, I never said homosexuality was the norm, though it is certainly normal. Normal in the sense that there is nothing wrong with it, and it is perfectly acceptable behavior. To believe otherwise given the history of homosexual behavior among humans and the fact that it is observed in nature among other animals, simply, is bigoted.

  • @thetruth6789 This is not the same study I read before, but I've only done a quick google search. This study finds that 20% of the population is gay:

    gallup(.)com/poll/6961/what-percentage-population-gay.aspx

The study I read stated that only 4-6% were exclusively homosexual, having no heterosexual urges.

  • @dustinjt " In the Harvard study, the scientist said that finding the "gay gene" in humans would be more difficult, but the fact that it exists in one animal is enough to infer that it exists in all animals displaying homosexual behavior"

-There has never been any study that has found a "gay gene" in any animal, you're so misinformed and stubborn.

  • @thetruth6789 I just posted it and you acknowledged it. Do you lack short-term memory? That would explain a lot, actually.

  • @dustinjt Plus it's not a credible American source, it's a Korean lab.

  • @dustinjt Is this how desperate gay supporters have gotten?. They think a single study on lab mice by Korean geneticists proves there is a "gay gene" in humans, give me a break.

  • @dustinjt " Marriage was around millenniums before Christianity"

-You keep repeating the same thing, and still making no point.

  • @dustinjt "Gay marriage was prevalent in Ancient civilizations"

-Gay unions were, not marriage, these unions were not carried out by religious priests.

  • @thetruth6789 Nope. Lavish ceremonies for gay marriages were prevalent in Ancient civilizations. Especially Ancient China, who loved a good party, and no one throws a better party than the gays.

  • @dustinjt "The only difference is the formal ceremony which humans have"

-Why are you comparing humans to animals, and using this as a argumental point, your point is asinine.

  • @thetruth6789 You obviously don't know what the word "monogamous" means. Which is hilarious to me.

  • @dustinjt "a ceremony, btw, that exists millenniums before Christianity"

-Yes, and in every one of those religions and cultures that performed a ceremony similar to marriage, it was always between a man and a woman.

  • @thetruth6789 No, it wasn't. Gay marriage was prevalent in many Ancient civilizations, actually. From Ancient China to Rome around 300 CE same-sex marriage was common and accepted in society. Only the advent of Christianity changed society's view on same-sex marriage.

    So, you're wrong. Again.

  • @thetruth6789 Actually, marriage as a legally recognized union is a new advent.

  • @dustinjt Marriage is not legally recognized, it is religiously recognized, civil unions are recognized legally, not marriages.

  • @thetruth6789 First, it is important to note (as I have done a dozen times) that marriage predates Christianity. Your argument is that marriage is religiously-recognized, not legally. Well, this is false if you understand federal laws regarding marriage vs. civil unions, but I will acknowledge it, nonetheless. Religion is a creation of society. Marriage, even same-sex marriage, was recognized by society and society's religions long before Christianity came along. Thus, your argument is moot.

  • @dustinjt "Marriage, even same-sex marriage, was recognized by society and society's religions long before Christianity came along"

-Like I said a million times before, those were not marriage, they were unions, and they were not recognized by whatever religion was around at that time.

  • @thetruth6789 Yes they were. Gay relationships were completely acceptable in Ancient civilizations. In fact, they were expected of affluent men in Ancient Greece, and some Greek Gods even were homosexual.

  • @thetruth6789 Nope. Affluent men were expected to have "boys." "Boys" represented great wealth in Ancient Greece.

  • FUCK U GOD

    HATES

    FAGS

  • Nobody should have to go through the pain of having their lover die in a hospital, while the hospital is forcing his own lover to stay away from him. The dying partner can't make a decision to have him stay due to the fact that he's in a comatose state and dying, and he cant see him. The only reason he couldn't see him is because they weren't legally married to each other where he never had a right to say that they were related legally. HOW CRUEL IS THAT?

  • I'm proud of all those kids out there, standing up for what's right. Santa Clarita has sure changed for the better in the past few years.

  • @buddy51 the scv is bad thats why i had to get out of it ,, nor cal is so much better .. even the scv cop are so bi-est

  • I personally believe that it should be no one but the homosexuals decision if they can get married or not, it shouldn't be in the hands of people who's lives are not affected by the matter, we should have NEVER had to vote on the matter. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ALOUD TO MARRY WHOMEVER THEY CHOOSE!!

  • God made man and women they married and have kids not adam and steve or eve and eve come on ppl stop this what is fun of a man going in to a other man batty hole thats where shit comes from batty man cant go see

with women two pot cover cant cook need a pot and a cover stop batty man

  • After reading pro-gay posts, I've come to the realization that most gays are self-hating.

  • Fuck u god hates Fags

  • No thanks, I don't fuck people like you.

Also... the bible says NOTHING about homosexuality. City of Sodom? They're worshiping Dionysus and they ask the angel to join them. Leviticus? It's talking about male prostitution. lol learn history, your religion and the bible.

  • Oh fuck u go suck a dick! God hates u... its not ever gunna happen so my kids are never going to learn about that stupid shit! times are NOT changing... but hey gays can join the military now did u hear? putt all u muther fuckers on the front lines so you all fuckin die and go to hell! fuck you!!!!!

  • why dont you go serve or just like being a coward?

god created everyone and every thing

    god hates bigots

little thing called judge lest ye be judged

  • fuck you god does not hate fags

  • ahahha faggots! c'mon, peeps voted yes on 8, and thats that, go move to another state if u dont like it.

  • This looks a bit bigoted to me, right vintageyellow71?

  • Most young people are ignorant of life's realities. The people in the video only back up my assertion. They are prob the same people who think that ownership of a house is guaranteed in the Constitution. No wonder, wealthy and successful people are leaving California in DROVES.

  • hey buddy... I got news for you. Your clearly a self hating homo... it takes one to know one. No wedding ring on your finger... and the vocal inflections.... please.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, dont think so, but keep up ur positive attitude!

  • Thanks God that it is going to be overturned =)

  • The people have spoken, you clearly lost. Get over it. People will not be intimidated by the likes of morons such as you.

  • yeah i voted no on 8... and i dont think it will get overturned lets cross our fingers and hope soo...... if not one day will happen and that time will be soon.... look at all those young kids that couldnt vote and where out their with signs lol i will marry one day dammit!!

  • hahah, "gay marriage is nobody's business but between the two people" actually it is a legal binding contract with the government. What right don't gays have again? The right to marriage? Because i dont see ANY law that says a gay person cannot get married.

  • You do now!!! It's in the constitution. Go read it.

  • ummm, NO, a gay person can get married to a person of the opposite sex, just like me. They have the same rights that i do

  • @jonerton15 If you were smart enough to know the goverment didnt rule the world the pope did for centuries why dont you do your history they are the ones who declared it and the preisdent who was george washington who is government also was a Christian and if he was for gay marriage they would of had it does that help so yes the government declared it which is the courts as well to be banned.

  • thank god is pass

  • If you aren't bigots and haters, why did you get so worked up about something that wouldn't have affected you in the least bit?

It's obvious you have some personal issues to work out buddy. XD

Have fun living in denial, dude. :P

  • Why do you get so up in arms over this issue? You make all these anti gay videos. I know about psychology and defense mechanisms. Are you an ex-gay? You do kinda sound like it...either way, good job!

  • HA I LIVE THERE! I wish i would have gone out there. I can walk there!

    I miss my home!

  • YES ON 8 ALL DAY CALIFORNIA DID A GREATT JOB.

I AM A PROUD ASS HOLE GET IT RIGHT GAY IS NOT A CHOICE IT'S WHAT YOUR SICC MIND MAKE YOU THINK THAT and i am tried of people saying they where born gay so you saying god made in perfect people i don't think so.... CONGRADULATIONS ON THE PEOPLE WHO CAME OUT AND VOTE THE RIGHT WAY WHICH WAS yes on 8 and i mean that.one man and one woman let god plan it.. I KNOW YOU GOING TO LASH OUT ON MY COMMENTS SO WHAT I DON'T CARE

  • what? chill out dude. your entitled to your opinion so right on.

  • you go.

im glad your looking at both sides.

  • How about the same sex community address the impact this will have on religious liberty, as nondescrimination law and public policy can and will penalize religious organizations based on religious belief that a practice is wrong. Former cases such as Bob Jones University, Yeshiva University, and the Christian Legal Society prove that religious belief is not protected from these laws, and that when/if same sex marriage passes into law, it will be enforced.

  • lol @ gays exploiting racial history.

  • note the age of the no on 8 protesters vs. the yes on 8 protesters. they might not all be able to vote now, but they will the next time it comes to a vote.

  • notice people yes on prop 8 rally in groups of family... but no on prop 8 rallying with labeling angry teenagers and gay folks. Yes on prop 8 is not gay hate or we don't hate gays we just wanna keep the tradition, we don't give a fuck about what they teach kids about gay marrige in school.

  • Proposition 8 isn't about 'restoring tradition.' If traditional marrage were always kept, black people still couldn't marry white people, and divorces wouldn't be possible. Marrage has changed a shit load over the 19th century, and nothing harmful has happened during or after the changes. Anyway, allowing more people marrage doesn't destroy herterosexual marrages, or the tradition. Marrage will always remain as something that increases mental and emotional strenght between all couples.

  • One day you'll grow up and realize how selfish that is.

  • its simple -EQUAL RIGHTS.

  • im tired of appologizing for my un pollitical correctness, lgbt's are assholes!

  • damn, middleclass white kids are stupid!

  • Damn, youtube haters are stupid!

  • whats the difference between middle class white kids and youtube haters?

  • Indeed...they know so little.

  • i guess thats all just part of being young

  • "i can marry a dog if i want to".......

  • difference between two different races marrying and two gay guy's marrying is just that it's two guy's instead of a man and woman.

  • well whats the difference? love is love! uh right! it dosent matter if its a man and a man, or a son and a father, brother and sister, sheep and shepherd, love is love ...right.....right! the state dosent have the right to discriminate!

  • +well whats wrong with that? i dont se a problem with a son and father getting married do you? if you do,well then theirs something wrong with you!

  • okay I don't remember what I posted but anyway you are sick if you think Incest is okay. You do realize that if a woman marries her father their baby could have lot's of problems. seriously take a genetics class.

  • im sorry i was being sarcastic

  • my appologies I didn't realize that you were being sarcastic about it. on another video I have been conversing with this idiot that actually thinks incest is ok.

  • thank god you didnt say "oh your so cool, hip and progressive"

  • well at least they wont have to adopt!

  • YES ON 8 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • All FAGS must be put inside a BIG gas oven..

    This will solve the problem..

  • ok your kind of mentality is what makes us look like crazy so please just keep your mouth shut!

  • I was a mormon but I'm an Atheist now, there is still hope for all of you to use logic and reason to escape this bigited coult

  • congrats I think people should listen to the human heart instead of what a God or Gods say to do.

  • Even if God didnt say anything about marriage. i would still feel the same way

  • Wow, you definitely got it right. If you really understood logic you would have a better idea of what's going on. BTW, did you mean "bigoted cult"? Interesting because they weren't the only church behind the Prop 8 support. Would you say any church that doesn't vote no means they are bigots? So what does that make you if you are judging people on one issue????

  • I love these kids....actually I shouldn't even call them "kids." They are far more mature than the 52% of California adults who voted in favor of discrimination. These people are our future! Thank God for that.

  • These is not hate is just reality, man and woman is wath it is yes on prop 8...

  • yes on 8!!

  • Prop 8 is stupid..and likely a waste of time and money on BOTH sides. Even Gov. Schwarzenegger wants the courts to overturn prop 8, and given the fact that they already ruled in favor of gay marriage, it is likely that prop. 8 will not only be overturned, but with a little luck, the churches who told members to vote will also lose their tax-exempt status in the process. Churches started the stupid prop 8 and this is the price they need to pay for being the bigoted a-holes that they are.

  • @CAguymasc no, actually the Knights of Columbus started that and they have no tax exempt status.

  • They are the same people that didn't want black people to have equal rights. Hateful people. It's none of your business you don't own marriage, marriage isn't sacred as long as divorce is still legal. If you really want to "protect" marriage work on your own and stop worrying about gays. Get over yourselves marriage isn't yours.

  • There isn't any legitimate reasons. All their reasons are based in religion and morality, the U.S has a separation of church and state, so if the supporters of 8 cannot find a reason that has religious belief behind it, there is no legitimate reason for it

  • Don't judge, how do you know they are lost ? Also it sounds like you have no hope for the Mormons, when the Lord has hope for everyone. Plus this is only an individual's video, and by this you can judge the rest of the church ?

  • I find it funny the amount of opinions you showed on the YES for prop 8 compared to the amount shown on the no for prop 8. Could it be you couldn't find many non biased or intelligent opinions for the YES side?

  • im sure both sides have valid points the only problem i have is tax exempt churches putting 20 mill into ads

  • Interesting how the same arguments come out again and again, but there is no substance. And the arguments that have substance would not have been solved by prop 8. Great video.

  • Gee, why aren't there any protesters in front of the black communities/churches??? It was the negras the fked the gays in da arse... (lol)

  • Blacks voted hugely in favor of Prop 8, 102 etc...

  • serious marriage is not a right people thw state reserves the right to chose who and who can't be married you are going against the people's right to chose what they want for the state when you brought up the lawsuit

  • Where are all the older adults?.......Ah!! To be young and stupid.
