  • Wow you guys are amazing!!!

  • I'm only 7 months into my ballet class and the other students in the class have asked me if I've taken classes before the one I take now...I feel embarrassed to say no, yet I'm flattered by the comments!

  • im 16 and ive just started classical ballet, i love it <3

  • does anyone know the name of the music? i wish i could get it so bad! thnx :))

  • So Beautiful =( I'm so jealiously !

  • wow! they are so talented, some of the most stunning ballet dancing i've seen in a long time, they managed to keep the balance between the energy and the delicacy, amazingly well! beautiful!

  • Auditioning for a apprentice spot in the company at my dance studio!! Super excited! Hope I get in!!

  • I LOVE IT!

  • not all dancers start out thin. it's because of their traning that they become thin. they became great dancers and got thin because of it, not the other way around

  • My sisters in this

  • @TheAirbornesolider cool! which one?

  • @dontcomeinimnaked Amy Barker,The shorter one

  • Brava Ladies! The choreo is entertaining, lots of great formations of the trio. and really lovely dancers. My only complaint is music is so soft in that huge room all I could here were those noisy shoes!

    @the posters of wieght comments:

Do the right think and DELETE THEM NOW- these girls are all PROFESSIONAL - DANCERS! - or if they weren't in '07 they are now! clearly its not holding them back so whats it to ya?

  • loved the dance loved the choreaografy but they breathe too loud

    but everything else loved it

  • No its not if you dance extremly hard and dance at least 6 times a week work on flexibility number one and posture balance and go from there

  • @tipitapeo how late is "too late" you think to get into ballet? im 17 and have sadly just realized my interest and passion in dancing..

  • @AShadowofRiley it depends mainly the reason people get into it so early is

    a. the longevity of their career

    b. you should start stretchiing when you're younger since your muscles are more maliable (sp.?)

    c. it costs a lot to go to a good school

but if you've done gymnastics (especially rhythmic) than you might be able to dance in college and pursue a career after

  • @AShadowofRiley

    me too...same age too :(

  • hy!

I'm 14 and it's my dream to dance ballet

    Is it too late

    for a professional carreer?

  • @Anna9625 Absolutely not! It'll be tough but if that's really your dream then it's totally possible. :)

  • @Anna9625 Never. Vanessa Sah started in collage and shes a professional dancer. Keep holding on to your dream! <3

  • HI EVERYONE,

    I HAVE A QUESTION...

IM RIGHT NOW 19, AND I WOULD LIKE TO START BALLET...

SO DO YOU THINK I CAN EVER DANCE LIKE THESE BEAUTIFUL LADIES?

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR A REPLY FROM AN EXPERT, OR ANYONE...

    THANKS!:)

  • @romanz2000 i started ballet a little over a year ago and im only 17 and im loveing it. with alot of hard work and passion you.ll do great. it doesnt matter what age you start if you work uber hard you could dance like these girls : ) so i wish you the best of luck with your dancing : D

  • @romanz2000

I'm not an expert, but I'm 18 and I started ballet in July 2010. I don't train with a professional company, however. I've been told that in order to dance like "these beautiful ladies" I'd have to train 3-6 hours a week (depending), which could get you en pointe in about 2 years. It's sooo difficult to find studios that will teach pointe to girls 18+, though! But I'm determined to fulfil my childhood dream, so in my opinion, anything is possible if you work hard enough!

  • @xXxbloodykissesxXx thanks for the motivation... I'll go for it too then:)

    it sure is a dream!!!

  • aaamazing.

  • You really think so... I want to do ballet but thanks to you I know I can go back:)

I hope you can become a great dancer and enjoy dancing ballet as much as I do

  • this is to @kiharastu

  • Sorry I accidentally went into my friends account anayways thanks alot :)

  • oh my god, i wouldve been exhausted by the end of the first five minutes!

  • the enchainments and so great thinking about learning them really great choreography! i would love to do this dance! and gorgeous studio!

  • Dang...

this coreography looks hard... by the second minute I would have killed over and died...

Dancers are truley the athletes of God...

    Good work!!!

  • I thought these dancers were amazing and have inspired me so much .... I wish I could back to ballet but I think it's too late anyways enjoyed and loved this video all the way

  • @gal3iiii you can always go back to ballet! my aunt is 40 and she took ballet when she was in her teens, but she quit, and now she's back at it! i'm nearly 14 and i'm starting now for the first time! it's never too late! good luck dancing!

  • good healthy bodies! and beautiful work! we can tell by ur technique!

  • i love this

  • Hey this is amazing and beatufull, what's the name of the song . theses ballerina are awsomme

  • @dancersweets11 Weight, while an issue in some ballet companies, is usually not one because the dancers are HEALTHY! However, weight only becomes an issue when the daner is not staying healthy! And there is no weight "rule" of 120 pounds. I know plenty of professional ballet dancers who exceed that weight. Learn something before you preach!

  • fantastic choreogrpahy- dancers have amazing stamina to do this piece and outstanding technique !!!!!!!

  • @llamaseatcheezecake yes you haveto be 120 pounds or less to be a professional ballerina, but that doesn't stop them from dancing ballet, you could always be a ballet instructor or choreographer. oh and I love your name :) llamaseatcheezecake <3

  • @kellyisbetterthanyou We get in trouble too, but it's so hard to keep them from tapping on the ground! My little sister was about four and when I was done with my point solo when I was eleven she commented on what a good job I did on my tap dance.

  • wow this was amazing!!!!dying of absolute jealousy

  • they're so loud

  • These dancers are great and are beautiful and I wish I could dance just like them

What is the music in the background or the composer it's also beautiful

  • They are amazing! Dying of jealousy!!

  • Lol i wish i was that good on pointe/:

  • that was incredible.

  • Incredible! You girls are amazing! <3 :O

  • simply stunning. you've got to have a lotttttttttttttttttt of stamina to be able to pull off a piece like that

  • Beatiful!!

  • amazing turns :]

  • GORGEOUS!

  • AMAZING arches. they are really talented. i myself barely exceed being flat footed

  • my pointe will never be that good

  • awesome choreography

  • im in love :D

  • its good

  • @studentanshu really it "good" do you think you can do better than this?? i dont think so asshole

  • beatiful.

  • the girls have a good future but if they wish to dance in a professional company, how are they going to dance in the cor de ballet if they cant even dance together to the music throught out this dance with only three people? just saying... they need to work on that a bit, because right now, each one is dancing like this dance is about only them. otherwise, light legs and good technique! impressive

  • @whatproductions527 Hahah, yes i know what pointe shoes are... I was actually just wondering what brand they were, gaynor mindon, or grisckoe's ect. Thanks!

  • Son muy buenas pero van totalmente descoordinadas.. una pena.

  • my best friend is a student at SAB, and if you know your ballet you know thats the only way to get into NYCB. you are either born with the body type or you aren't.

  • i wish i could do that

  • wow that was amazing!

  • I wish I could take ballet. It's too late now. I'd never be that good.

  • it's never too late....i started ballet at age 15 and i'm as good as the girls my age...go for it! anything is possible...

  • I'm 17 and the season has already started. By time I start I'll be 18 and school will be too much. Oh well, it's just a dream now.

  • @ickyvic That's a little misleading. To become professional as a girl, your body should be trained from an earlier age than 15 preferably because it builds the figure before the growth sets. THOUGH, it's not impossible. If you dance everyday for the rest of your life you'll have a chance!

For guys... it's considerably different so long as they have been athletic all of their life up till that age.

  • @ickyvic Seriously, 15 ? Wow !!! And how long after your start did you begin to work on pointe shoes?

  • @ickyvic Reaaallly?! when did you start pointe?

  • gorgeous!! jealous of their amazing technique!

  • Wow, these girls have so much stamina and strength! They are inspirational

To HollyFusco- do you know what kind of shoes they have?

  • bre-man (:

  • @bremandancer Hi me and us well two of us are actullay trying to complete till we get our toe shoes we are streching and achiveing all it takes is practica and here is the answer to your question they are wearing toe shoes there is a square at the toe helping them get to the tip of their toe but it's not just the shoes its there ankles and leg mucles

  • I like baton twirling better- my friend does ballet though

  • These dancers aren't stick-thin. Years ago I saw a corps dancer in the NYCB Nutcracker who looked positively emaciated. In fact, it looked as if she was having trouble not falling off point. She was a Marzipan Shepherdess, not a big role, but she looked sick up there. Starvation is NOT beautiful, but these girls don't look anorexic to me. They have good healthy muscles.

  • Beautiful, beautiful apparitions!

  • They dance so gracefully <3 I do ballet too and I wish I could be able to dance like them someday :D

  • Hoooray!

  • stunning!!! i love that they are stick thin!! ballet is for everyone, regardless of size, passion doesn't discriminate..and at the end of the day, unless you are hugely overweight that its dangerous to be on pointe, if you have the passion for dance and ballet, that matters!! plus i think they looked beautiful!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I'm tired jst watching them!! Does any1 no wat music this is?

  • cant wait... thisll be me one day i promise you!!

  • I loved it. my biggest regret is not dancing anymore.

  • You can't actually have a belly when your dancing Ballet people are there to see you dance not your belly. And who cares if your fat or not when you have a passion for some thin go for it. You only live once.

  • @Disneyclassics009 Yes, but you won't go far with the belly, it's all about grace, more belly =less grace.

  • Or they're so active that they're just naturally skinny. I guess your brain hasn't moved beyond the first grade.

  • well it's a lot easier if you don't have a tummy u know? but even though, their are still plus sized ballerinas, but you can see that their weight is in their way on becoming more talented.

  • actually it's more dangerous as you become too stick thin. Your body doesn't get the nourishment it needs to give you the endurance and stamina needed for pointe work. I agree that being overweight is a huge disadvantage and dangerous, but it's not uncommon to have size 3/4 dancers who are really good at what they do. They may not look as good in a tutu, but it doesn't take away from their talent

  • You don't know anything about ballet!!!!!Ballet is not for those who are thin but for those who feel it and express the passion for it!!!Maybe somebody who is a little bit fat,the passion and the energy that he expresses make him gorgeous!!!!So,if you don't know certain things, shut up!!!!!

  • well you're probably anorexic too. !!! and what's with all the exclamation marks...the woman who commented on this movie was a professional dancer who's probably been dancing longer than you. She was merely commenting on the fact that it's too focused around an unhealthy form of perfection or anorexia, and I completely agree, because that is not where beauty lies. It's in the expression like you said, but the art form has been clouded by a superficial image for years.

  • @LoveForBallet thats what it is! your right! the only thing is, if you want to be a ballerina, you have to be 120 pounds or less. thats the problem. you cant partner if your too heavy, because they cnt lift you. its an amazing feeling, ballet, but the one thing stopping a lot of girls in the big world is thir size, unfortunatly.

  • @llamaseatcheezecake

I mean that you don't have to be skinny to be a ballerina....you just have to be careful with what you eat....

  • @LoveForBallet half of the best girls in my dance studio are, you know, not the skinniest girls, but they are AMAZING. so what if they cnt partner, they are proud to be dancing and proud to be themselves

  • @LoveForBallet Angry much?

  • @LoveForBallet Though i think people expect every ballerina to be thin because of the intensive training the pros do...and the pressure to be thin from the companys

  • Beautiful!! I miss ballet ssoooo much, thank goodness i'm starting again in october. I'd like to know what the music was.

  • gawd!! they should be exhausted!!! anyway... it's AWESOME!!

  • what music is this from wich composer

  • The choreography is awesome, and the dancers are amazing, the combination looks really hard.

  • wow. amazing!

  • AH- mazingg

  • there well eligant! x

  • what music is this?

  • Amazing!

  • All three; just beautiful. Love this.

  • perfect...

  • Noisy [pointe shoes but beautiful dancers! Bravo, you three look beautiful together like three little ballerina fairies. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with all of us here! Five stars and saved to favorites! Pink TuTu Twirls, Johnny

  • Just have to say that i love the sound of pointe shoes on the floor because i love to dance and i love the way my pointes sound in the empty rehersal rooms

  • Trust me, I love the sound too. It's comforting in a sense. However, for professional purposes it's not fancied by many... I'm sure if they did this on stage it wouldn't be so noisy. I just noticed it in the film and decided to comment on it, not a bad thing in this video just noisy : )

  • @livelovelearn100

i'm not a dancer but i do love the sound of pointe shoes on the floor, too. : ) i've only taken a semester...and of course i was in soft shoes! LOL. but there were a few girls who were advanced and did barre stretches and center work in those beautiful toe shoes.

  • @livelovelearn100 we get in trouble if our pointe shoes make sounds

  • How do they memorize so many steps. It's a long dance.

  • I know! I can't even get the dances in High School Musical. I would die trying this.

  • Hi Holly, my name is Sarah and I have been dancing ballet since I was three. I live right near CPYB but not close enough to go there so i go to a school near there. I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing this video with us, It is the most beautiful dance I have ever seen. It is so truly inspiring to me, and it makes me cry to watch it. You and your friends are beautiful dancers, with gorgeous lines and nearly perfect feet. I am a huge fan of NYCB i have been going to their shows for

  • years and theyre all quite incredible. So thank you and please dont stop dancing! <3

  • wow someone has a big ego!!!!!!!!

  • godd dancers but the choreography...nothing new...

  • The choreography is genius. It is interesting to see an ensemble who have their own variation choreographed in some parts and still stayed together in the parts have the same choreography.

Beautifully executed ladies! How long did it take for you to learn the whole dance?

  • everybOdyy makinqq all these rude cOmments abOut hOw yOu quysz can dance better needs to stoP.

iff yhuu can dance betta thann hOw cOme yOur ass didnt makeee ahh videO. plsz dntt bee rudee to these danceers theyy are AMAZING.

& wuhn day i hOpe too be thisz quddd.

    xO'jellymOnsterrr.

  • GOSH!!! i LOVE u guys! u guys dance beautifully!!!!AWSOME! seriously!

    U inspire me!HAhahahah

  • you seem reallu presomptuous to say that you're better tahn her ... their choreography is not perfect i agree , but it's a quite high level ... everybody can not do the same ...

  • You may be right but i still think that's just plain showing off ...

  • It may be a bit flawed, but it has its charm..

  • This is extremely difficult choreography, and the dancers are excellent. I'd like to see you try - instead of criticizing them.

  • theyre fierce .. are any of the 3 girls in a company yet?

  • it was far from perfect. i thought they where rehearsing. the third girl was the best . the only thing that makes it look good is the fact that the choregraphy is brilliant modern yet in the balenchine style that and the body types of the dancers .

  • this has to be a rehearsal.

  • you think? considering they're in a studio with a mirror and not on stage and plus the fact that they're professionals yet this is far from perfect? yeesh it certainly does take a genius to know that this is definately a rehearsal....

  • I was replying to the critical person who claimed they weren't good but thanks for the cheeky response..

  • PERFECT!

  • the third soloist has a gorgeous epaulment :)

    [hope i spelled that right...]

  • its épaulement...

    french is tricky...

    and yes,yes she does.

  • haha thanks. so close! that darned E. i danced for eleven years and i can speak ballet french and sound like i know what im talking about, but in school i only study spanish. so my spelling, in french, is not so hot. thanks though!

  • no problem. }

yeah, i go to a school that teaches french and spanish, ive only been dancing for a year and a half, but i can tell you, knowing french and english makes everything ALOT easier...

  • yeah, i always wanted to switch into french, but by the time i got serious enough about ballet to worry about it, i'd already done two long years of spanish and i didnt want it to go to waste lol. luckily my ballet teacher translated whenever we learned a new word. she never told us again though, so we were kinda screwed if we didnt get it the first time lol.

  • these are beautiful combinations!

  • thats very pretty i was accepted for the summer program at

SAB and i was wondering if i should go..what do you think, it looks beautiful

  • Congratulations! Of course you should go.

  • OF COURSE YOU GO!!!! =)

  • i love how they are all doing the same choreography, but they all look slightly different, and not because any of them are more or less advanced than the others, just because they are placing thier own personal spin or touch on the movement, making it thier own. its so fantastic and interesting to watch.

  • Adorei realmente incrível

    parabéns :D

  • c'est magnifique! elles danse magnifiquement bien

  • peeerrrfect. so pretty.

  • absolutely incredible!

  • great choreography n lovely music

  • very pretty

  • NICE!

  • NYC Ballerinas really ROCK!!!!

  • this is so wonderful!

  • i realize how much muscle and practice it must take to get this done as beautifully as this was. but i would still not like to take a ballet class

  • These dancers are amazing. They have a great center and are really graceful. :)

  • O_o You're right! lol Doesnt even look like a girl.. XD H

  • they could at least stay on the right beat i mean come on.

  • wow you can tell they were tired by the end of the video but they still kept pushing on w/o a mistake.

    nice job!

  • your username is lame.

    t__t

  • ok so my teacher gave us a list of what to get and it said to get "pink ballet shoes with ribbons attached" definitely not pointe shoes. and I can only find ballet slippers with elastic not ribbons so do i just sew them on?

  • yes

  • i absolutely adore the choreography + the dancers are just beautiful. they have such great stamina :)

  • They go so fast... this was my problem when I was going to school for dance, I couldn't get my mind around a dance like this where it's so quick. I could choreograph one, but couldn't remember any of it. Later when I was teaching I even had to get my students to remind me the steps I had written the week before for them. I gave up eventually but I wanna give it another shot.

  • nice :) they look like delicate fairies

  • nice

  • truely inspirational

    beautiful to watch

  • my name is bianca

    lol
