And their "4 years" of training, they typically only have class once or twice a week plus a lab that lasts for 2hrs at most. Its really sad training over all.

@colbyrules8 no offense but what i hate more than the army is inexperienced kids wanting to be marine sergeants and end up killing their squad or freezing up in fire. they only got the rank because of rotc i know u guys try hard run drills and shit but no ones ever ready for combat i know people who've seen it happen it sucks, entire squads wiped out mostly nothing but 18 year olds fresh from basic.
@Finalthings91 ok first off, you must not know much about the military because you become a 1st Lt. when you come out of ROTC, and they train you for over 4 years for combat which is more then any basic training out there, second- a sergeant is the one that primarily leads a squad during battle or helps out, and theyve been in combat many times before and have experience. A squad consists of different ranks too. And i have never heard of that happening since maybe vietnam.
About 100% sure that you come out of ROTC as a butter bar, aka 2nd LT which is just an educated dumb ass, who gets no respect anyway from anyone above pay grade of E3.

Yes, I would rather have that "scum" of a sgt leading me ANY day than some damn butter bar that, was in rotc. As I myself was ROTC until I saw how Undisciplined they are in rotc. EVERY officer needs to go through a real basic training just like the soldiers do, so they know what their troops have gone through and possibly have a little more respect. NCO's will always get the respect because they've EARNED it. I'd give my life for another enlisted before I would to protect officer
@Finalthings91dude rotc does not help you gain rank dude ,and if your talkin about jrotc you would only come in as e2 so really you make no since what so ever,3rd rotc is for officers not noncomissionedofficers which would be the sgt your refering to,ANdLAStOFALlyour right no one is ever ready but we are more ready than anyone else,no one is ready to be shot at but we are more ready than anyone else,its easy for people to say what someone is doing wrong but unless you can fix it shut the **** up
