  • Dude is Krist a major part of the reason you started playing ?!

  • @byakuganmaggot

    lol

    sadly no.

but he did influence me to change my style.

  • @andyg3 : It seems like you play very similar to him just the only diffrence is he holds his pick diffrently

  • your bass is hung too high....must be lower, get a longer strap!!

  • qe buen cover , eso ya me lo se en mi bajo

  • great dudeeeee, and nice bass ;D

  • cool man.. wanna team up? =P im guitarist/vocalist

  • is that a custom pick guard? mine is just the clear one that came with it

  • @bloggieguy

    nope.

im guessing u have a black one

    mine is the sunburst

  • There's not meant to be any bass on the first verse but good cover

  • @Jakebryden123

    i know

it felt awkward just standing waiting

    imwish i hadnt now.

    this is all wrong anyway.

  • Great cover! and epic bass getting 1 anytime soon!

  • i hate when people complain about the t bird haven neck dive ... my eb-3 has neck dive and sure its a pain in the ass but its not a BIG deal like ppl make it to be . I love epiphone basses perfect for nirvana and nofx

  • @zackbassmasster

    i know dude!

I think all this neck dive stuff is over done. if uv got your hands on the fucking thing it doesnt fall!

  • Can't wait to learn that awesome song =)

  • Keepin tha bass nice and low to hide the boner you get from playing Nirvana. I do the same thing; you're not alone.

  • @9winters5

    fuck yeah

  • Turn the BASS up man!

  • play it low or go home bro!!

  • andyg3, if you like gibson/epiphone basses, you need to check out a Gibson Victory bass, I think you'd love them bro!

  • @Phodie56

iv looked at pics and vids, its ok, but doesnt do to much for me.

Id much prefer Gibson RD artist bass. best things ever

  • @andyg3 If I had an RD...I'd never leave home again for anything. Hello delivery pizza :)

  • @andyg3 The Grabber and Ripper are very good too, if you get a chance to check them out.

  • shavo bass!

  • is this i standard tuning?

  • @EPICdocumentary No its D :P

  • I WANT THAT BASS RAWR

  • great cover mate! is the epiphone t-bird good for classic rock (like who, zeppelin, cream...)?

  • @Mrfelipefmendes

    thanks!

    it might be :/

John entwistle from the who used them a fair bit

  • @andyg3 ok, thanks! and again, great cover, keep it up mate!

  • @Mrfelipefmendes

    thanks!

im not happy with this cover. its wrong in many places,

i have recorded another correct version but dont know if i should upload it

  • @Mrfelipefmendes

the epiphone ripper i got from a shop as its new

the gibson g-3 i got off german ebay, for about half the normal going price.

  • @andyg3 oh... do you know where i can get hte ripper?

  • @Mrfelipefmendes

google search epiphone ripper, there are a few places that still have them i think.

  • @andyg3 ok, thankss! and again great channel! keep it up, and great quiver too! ch

  • @Mrfelipefmendes

    thanks!

    quiver?

  • @andyg3 great basses*

  • is this bass the pro IV version?

  • @SFONBassist

    nope, just the standard

  • gibson or epi

  • @leonoff89

    epi sadly

  • Awesome man :)

  • Great Bassist you truly are :DD

  • @luvpinas123 Yoda you are.

  • over all good job. the only thing is that during the chorus the bass plays in the same octave as the guitar. so when u dothe chorus just play it an octave higher than ur doing it

  • amazing sound! good cover :)

  • @EricNaron

    thank you!

  • What's the equal for this sound? boost treble?

  • @cupis612

not sure really, all the higher ends up high

    and the bass about half

  • @andyg3 and cut mids i suposse

  • @cupis612

    about half

its harder to say ebcause my amp has a graphic equaliser, and a laod of switches, not any pots

  • @cupis612 The pick does much of the sound!

  • COOL BASS!

  • What's the tuning

  • @breakkfastman1573

    drop d

then tune the other strings to that

  • @breakkfastman1573 all the strings a whole step down

  • is that ladder for your bunkbeds lol hahahah nice cover dude i also rock a tbird i have two of em !! \m/ check my review on my profile cheers

  • @haus05

    lol tis

    thanks!

iv watched your review a few times before, pretty good.

would be nice to hear one of the pros playing somthing like this, so see how it compares.

  • you dont need to play for the first verse

  • @greatfelixo

i know.but it felt awkward standing there doing nothing.

so i thought i would quietly play it. wish i didnt tho.

and this is wrong, i can play it more accurately now...

  • epi tbird or ripper ? i already have a t bird but im not sure should i get rid of it for a ripper

  • @lgmk55

its up to you, th rippers good, with new strings, but once strings die its not so good.

The way i see it is, you have different bass for different styles. songs

the t birds good for mellow stuff, and a more mellow sound.

and the rippers good for a bright powerful sound. its general pickups, a P and a Jazz set. so one setting sounds like a p bass,

both together sound like a gibson ripper kinda.

  • @andyg3 ya i think i might get a ripper so , id stick a set of rotosound stainless steels on it and itd be ready to go :P thanks

  • him fucking sucks

  • i love the tone, it just plays like a tank.. but it is still in my top 10

  • HIM!!!!!!!!!

  • very cool. sounded almost like krist there lol. i wish people would give him more respect, deserves it :-/

  • both Nirvana and HIM rule.

There's no bass in the first verse of this song. Other than that this is a good cover.

If you're having trouble with neck dive with the bass reply or inbox me and ill try and explain how to prevent it

  • @ricochetfuzzy

    thank you:)

i'm not sure why i started to play in the first verse, altho it was only lightly. it feels awkward standing doing nothing for the camera for that lenght of time!

I'v heard about people moving the strap button the the neck plate? am i right?

its not to much of a problem at the moment. the wrist of my picking hand normally keeps it up.

  • @andyg3 Do what Krist did and get a piece of strong string or thin rope and tie it around the strap knob on the bottom so the bottom will hang lower and the weight will keep it from doing that.

  • @andyg3 i have the same bass and want to know is this an easy song to play

  • @666bonscott

its easy once you know how.

    but its pretty basic.

  • what tuning is this played in

  • @666bonscott

    drop D

with strings tuned to the dropped E string

though some live versions are standard tuning.

  • Sorry, that's what I call a Jesus (great) bass guitar, is what I was trying to say.

  • @FiveLiveKru

    oh i see

    lol

    awesome

  • Gyrate what I call a jesus bass

  • @FiveLiveKru

    huhhh?

    lol

  • Cool cover. I played a Thunderbird before but the body is awkward shaped and I can't put it on a guitar stand. Plus it is very long and felt like I was playing an ice hockey stick.

  • @bmiranda2645

haha, it is a bit awkward. but i lvoe the shape and sound.
