Ive spent thousands and thousands of dollars on electric bike shit. Even electric bike companys in vancouver overcharged me a ton of money for kits and batterys. iLL never by any electric crap from anybody ever again. I bought a 66cc two stroke motor from zoom bikes in port coquitlam canada for 130 bucks and its a hundred times better than any of my electric shit which i own. Dont even think about wasting your money on electric junk. Ive learnt my lesson the expensive way.

@459am I think you just had a bad luck. I own and ride both electric and 66 cc bikes and there is a place for each of them. Electric is more expensive but pure and quiet, perfect for park bike trails. Gas engine is good for transportation on road, I wouldn't take it to the park.

hey man so i got the same motor and i cant get the small sprocket to turn to get the chain on, how did u get urs to turn?

feed the chain on to the top of the sprocket as much as you can, then turn the sprocket with a bigg flat head screwdriver by push fro, under on one of the teeth, reposition until you can pull the chain from the other end.

@LUVHERB247 or you can get in on as far as you can, pull the other end of the chain up to meet it, then slip the master link in and use the wheel to pull it through the rest of the way. attach the back of the master link and drive away.

@LUVHERB247 Dude, all you needed to do was remove the spark plug. This relieves the compression so the crank will turn.

I just registered a motor bike kit in Massachusetts $40 for 2 years (one of the toughest states for motorcycles). But it was done and is legal! Just wondering just how long do these engines last (All my bikes are just a few months old)? anyone know. I built 3 motor bikes so far because i think there pretty cool. I intend building more, instead of spending my $ on Ball game tickets and beer i build bikes!

i got this and its an absolute disaster on my bike! the gas tank leaks, the tube is to big for the carb so i have to put a hose clamp on and it still leaks, the engine rattles everying loose so everything falls off and the gas tank tips over. it vibrates like HELL and i cant get the carb to idle. the thing always runs at 3500 rpm. any suggestions?!

its not set up right, you need to use lock washers, everything needs to be torqued on, the tube on the gas line is to long so the flue pushes out to hard, also you can go to the auto store and get a better fitting size. if set up right the bikes run like a clock but they need to be kept up. it involves knowing most everything about the kits themselves.

tighten the clutch cable until, when you pull the clutch it idles. (this is a lot tighter then you think)

use 2 stroke oil and the mix should be 15:1 for the first fill up and 20:1 after that. you can get a oil mix cup for this. and just ride it a bunch not going to fast and slowly it will start running better.

well its not, you see in a 2 stroke motor the oil is burned with the gas, so you need the real shit. it is what i have always used and i have made 8 bikes.

Your right it's to small for a 4stroke and the sound is indeed a 2stroker(4stroke sounds darker and lower)

thats just telling you that you have good compresen, your clutch is just not set up right. when the clutch is pulled that will move fairly freely.

the drive chain is attached to the opposite side as the pedal chain, this allows the bike to utilize the existing ratchet bearing in the hub of the rear wheel.

you can only start my bikes by peddaling. you might be having problems with your fuel mixture or your air intake.
