I'm sorta-kinda happy to see an episode I never got to watch on TV. My father probably took control of the TV remote anyway, and had me do my homework.
anyways.. yeah great reviews, but Kabuki Quantum Fighter wasn't a fantastic game, it was a hard and challenging game...
would be nice to see the Videopower Team cartoons. thats what made the show the best...
@rod980 I think reviewers and developers had a "super gameboy" type video output so they could record the gameplay. If I recall correctly, I think some store displays actually had the gameboy video displayed on a normal television in addition to the gameboy screen, but that was a long time ago and I may be mis-remembering.
@neogeon You didn't mis-remember. There were some of them large screen peripherals used for viewing the Game Boy's screen even in entertainment expos and video game conferences.
@rod980 I remember going to a retail store (perhaps a Wal*Mart) that had a Game Boy handheld hooked up to a specially-designed screen that allows you to play it either by that or by the handheld itself. The game it was playing was Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.

@Cellmate412162 Don't forget J. D. Roth (GamePro TV) and some other hosts from the show, as well as hosts from similar shows aired in other regions.

I remember this show, used when I was a kid. It's a damn shame this show didn't see a vhs or dvd release.

The PREVIEW opener was better off without this "data transmission". Thanks for the vid, Grooveraider.

@TimNP61278 Kabuki Quantum Fighter hard? No way, it was notoriously easy at the time!

How were they able to show Gameboy games so clearly at that time? Did they have a kind of emulator?

replace "()" with a period and there you go

@neogeon thanks, I replaced the perios but the page takes me to a 404 page not found error, but thank you anyway ;-)

@rod980 you also have to delete the space in "uploads" because it wrapped to the second line.
