im sorry but the silly argument below just spoils the enjoyment of this, why argue, you werent judging the jive the judges were, i thoght it was fantastic and deserved the ten purely on entertainment value, but i also thought it was technically brilliant.yes you can have an opinion but i wish people would stop comparing, new season new dancers end of story.

@SuperDeclan13 - It's not a silly argument, it's a BBC show and we pay a hefty licence fee to be able to watch it and I don't want to see it watered down. if the show compromises itself compared to earlier series then it's the beginning of the end. 10 scores needed a perfect performance from the celebrity whereas now it doesn't. Non-pro judge Alesha even gave Chelsee a 10 when a dreadful error occured in her Paso. Standards drop = viewing figures drop = show eventually dropped.

@sigmaman93 but you were comparing this jive to a pro competition and there would be complaints by viewers. There would certainly be complaints for jill and darrens jive in a pro comp. Facts are its a celebrity reality show, for celebrities these are two incredible jives. This certainly deserved 40. It was crisp, and original, right up there with jills jive.

@sigmaman if you're really gonna be so picky as to say she didn't know what to do with her hands, then go watch Jill's jive, and you'll see about 1:20 darren makes a glaring mistake. Certainly didn't deserve a 10 if this one didn't.

@wiyyiyum Doesn't matter that Darren made a mistake as the judges judge the celebrities only, like you say: "go watch Jill's jive", and not Darrens jive. The celebrities are the only ones being judged. This is why you see the judges comment only on the celebrities performance and not the professinals dancer's dance. The professional dancers often make mistakes, but this isn't the fault of the celebrities, who are the ones who aren't meant to have danced before.

And the camerawork has been shocking at times during this series. From 0:24 we should have seen a full body shot of Chelsee's opening solo dance so we could have seen her legwork from the start without the need to pan out because the camera was too far zoomed-in and thus we missed the beginning of her legwork, Mr.Cameraman!

Just to add to my comment below: Jill Halfpanny's jive warranted a perfect score as it was perfect, so how can Chelsee get a perfect score from three judges when there were faults at 1:27 and at the end? Like I say, had this been a professional competition then a complaint would have been lodged as no matter how good the dance or how dazzling and entertaining it may be; fact is it has to be completely fault-free to get that 10 score.

Well done Craig for keeping a professional head and giving 9.

I thought this was brilliant and very dazzling, but the dazzlement can't disguise the fact this wasn't perfect as some seem to think. These judges need to be careful as if they keep giving out a 10 (take note Alesha esp) when faults occur; then it won't be long before a 10 means nothing when it's meant to mean perfection without fault. At 1:27 she was in two minds as to what to do with her hands and it spoilt the flow just-a-tad, and if this had been a professional comp she wouldn't have got 10.

@sigmaman93 I don't doubt what you are saying , but to be honest, SCD isn't really a professional competition is it, it's only a light entertainment programme about celebrities learning to dance and then having a go in front of the cameras.

@AnAutumnsDay I know what you are saying too but it's still a show about achievement. Some celebs have put in perfect performances and deserve that 10, but if you start giving 10's for imperfect ones it loses its meaning and is also unfair to those who truly do give a 10 performance. They also give every dance a standing ovation now even if its rubbish, so a standing ovation on SCD is meaningless now. Training is hard work and is not taken lightly, so neither should the scores be.

@sigmaman93 To elaborate slightly: The celebs train hard because in the past they had to work hard to get a 10, but now more and more, especially with the arrival of Alesha, 10's are given out more easily and wrongly. That means its been waterted down and will be taken less seriously as a show and thus by the celebs, and then we lose.

We're told they're being judged as though they are professional and that's why they put in the hours of a professional and we get entertanied by them.

Keep watching this back. Wasn't a big fan of Chelsee, but I have to give credit where credits due. This was just fantastic! One of the best dances I've seen on Strictly by a celebrity. Harry and Chelsee in the final. Chelsee could win this if she keeps dancing like this! Brilliant!
