@Belllady71 I though his voice was pretty unique. People often compare him to Sinatra saying he sounds like him...let's get serious, he sounds absolutely nothing Frank at all. Nor does he sound like Harry Connick Jr. I've never heard a voice nearly close to his, his is very distinct and hard to match.
@Lisaj4431 Actually he does pretty well with this one. There'll never be another Sinatra, who sang this song several times, even way back in the 1940s (his Columbia version is a knock-out). And, yes, Harry Connick is great (his recent take on "All the Way" being a notable nod to Frank). But there's room for everyone....nice to know this music is being performed in the 21st century!
@ 41186160 no need to agree with him, if he does not think that buble has the stage presence of the rat pack then he's probably never been to a concert by any of them making the thoughts nonsense. In terms of experience and popularity, Michael Buble is way ahead of where Sinatra was at 37 years old and my opinion is that he goes from strength to strength AND he writes songs.
@neillyf I agree that he is incredible, but his stage presence is no where near that of the Rat Packs, simply because he is alone, and The Rat Pack had the banter between Sammy, Sinatra, and Dino. Nothing could ever compare to that
Michael is no Sinatra, Martin or Darin... I'm obviously not comparing them on sound or anything, the point is he doesn't have the talent, originality, spontaneity, and stage presence that those guys had.
@sinatrabooth89 Absolutey right, but he is not or needs to try to sound like them, he's his own artist and is pretty damn good in own right! You are comparing....shut the f-up!
He's trying to do that jazz stereotype (sing everything slightly earlier) to the extreme, half a bar ahead at some points. But still a damn fine singer.
@KingJoeyJunior hey petey. somebody else, some other jazz singers were doing that "stereotype" thing, singing the line a half or full bar ahead of the way it was was written, long before joe williams and others did it, in the FIFTIES!!.. would you call joe williams singing stereotypical or cliche riddem?
what the fuck does a white boy have to do to sing a jazz song without somebody pickin at him? reinvent the wheel?
even the legends and the greats learned what they do from someone.
This is a Billy Byers arrangement that was done for Count Basie and his Orchestra under the direction of Quincy Jones. It was a piano feature for Count Basie and was recorded with Frank Sinatra in the live album recorded at the Sands in 1966. Buble is singing the lead normally covered by the piano. It is a very cool vocal adaptation of a great instrumental.
Michael Buble is FANTASTIC he has a dreamy fabulous stylish voice, also has the gorgeous lokos & fun personality he definitely rocks my boat since 2003 I Just loooove the BUBLE he id soooooo SWEEEET HOT HOT HOT!!!! You Have it all Mr Buble!!!

Um, does anybody remember Harry Connick Jr. nothing new here.

@Lisaj4431 It's a jazz standard.... That's the point. Pretty sure Sinatra rocked this before Harry Connick Jr. Learn to love.
