Lemme 'splain ya sump'm here: The X-15 was supposed to be launched horizontally. Maybe if'n you'd taken her up under somebody's twin Piper or Cessna and set her off, things woulda turned out a little better.
Also, I might jus' mention that the money shot in any crash video is a nice pan of the wreckage and impact site. The boys who tape RC jet crashes know that. Jus' sayin'.
