@hollymoon21 I know he first went on a show called Battle of Sinhwa/Let's Cokeplay Battle he was about 15 i think. He got eliminated because he lacked in singing and went to YG to audition instead. He trained in YG for several months but was in a dance crew before then. He was really popular in his town when he left to be in YG. He made his debut in 2006, he probably gets critizised the most for not having years of training unlike the other members but he still went back to his trainee days. :)

@hollymoon21 No he didnt. He became a trainee at YG where they thaught him dance, singing, stage presence, and music. ALL the members of Big Bang where put in a documentary where they could show the people who they where. YG said that he was willing to eliminate as many members needed to make his group possible. In the end only 5 out of the 6 remained.

Reading the former comments, apparently lots haven't see the documentary. Since the beginning Big Bang was supposed to be 5 member. 2 member will be leaving and giving 2nd opportunity, and 1 will be eliminated (YG said it on episode 5).
