Thanks for all the positive comments everyone! The process slightly varies with different phone types and computers, but hopefully this guide helps everyone succeed in some way :)
I just wanted to know if this is going to really work on my metro phone? And are you at Little John's? Because that room looks just like his and we had been fucking each other since January 17.
@Tracywasinlove6669 Um, well I'm not sure what a metro phone is to be honest. And trust me, that is my room in the video and I have no idea who Little John is. I've been happily married for almost a year now, but thanks for the heads up. I really hope this dude is good to you and vice versa.
@retrorobo79 If you can get to your Android Market, try uploading the Easy Tether Pro app and going from there. I discovered that since I made this video, the process has changed a little. I set this up for a friend recently, and we ended up going that route. Also, if this is a computer problem, make sure your phone is securely hooked up to your computer, and all the drivers required for your phone to function on your computer are downloaded.
@Alizoda2011 I had to sift through all my phone's files to find it, but it should be under downloads... if not, try redownloading the file on your phone, reconnecting, and looking again. If all else fails, dig around your phone's files. Good luck!
you have Slavic beauty ; congratulations it meens, I've never seen more beautyfull women from hmm... I think you're from UK or US; :P but don't think i want to flirt with u, I just think, your beauty is unusual.
PS.: The guide was awesome, it was very helpful, thx a lot xD
@GH0STR3C0N1 That's okay, every phone is different and runs differently on a computer. My Motorola Droid only prompted me on my computer. Just make sure you're in mass storage, whether you have to select on your phone, your computer, or if you simply just get the pop-up menu that gives you the option to View Files. As long as you can get to your easy tether file, you should be fine :)
@1234odis Try restarting both your phone and your computer. Then, make sure your USB cable is plugged into both your phone and computer securely. You may have to re-download the file. (Don't worry, if you already paid for the full version, you should have a code that will keep you from having to pay for it again.) I hope this helps!
@1qwerty650 Hey now, I didn't create this program.. I am sorry to hear about you getting the virus though. I've been using this for over a year and I haven't had any problems. Did you have an anti-virus program on both your computer and phone?
@1qwerty650 Chill out. It obviously didn't happen to this girl and lots of other people. Its 4.5 star rated on the android market so why don't you get a better antivirus software!
@FirstPlaceDelgado the noob way? Just because it isn't your way, it doesn't mean the way I do it doesn't work just as well dude. Thanks for giving everyone who watches this another option though, in case easy tether doesn't work for them.
@RissaMarissaMarie noob aka new to this ,lol i didnt mean to offend ,i used to use those apps before but they are very limited . what kind of phone do you have rissa ?
@FirstPlaceDelgado I have an LG Revolution, and I've used this program for a Motorola Droid, and Droid 3 with no problems. Honestly, I don't see what the limitations would be, but I understand that some people may have difficulty with different phone and computer setups than mine. Unless you're using the free trial version, you can do anything online that one would normally do, as far as I know.
unfortunately I was able to root and enable tethering with no plan however, I may have to use this method in order to get my android to tether with a mic, lame
@CallOfSpooge Yes for the phones that have that capability (which might be most of the newer android phones now I think). However, even with an unlimited data plan, you'd still have to pay extra to use the hotspot.
question, I synced my iPod to my friends iTunes and searching for another way I can put music on another folder or on iTunes til I can find a way to sync back. can you help?
@SilentMastaKeba Unfortunately, no. I've never owned an iPod or used iTunes, so I won't be of any help to you with this question. Sorry! :( Try Googling your problem. When it doubt, ask Google ;)
I just wanted to thank everyone again for their comments :) Remember, if you have any questions, feel free to post them here and I'll help where I can. Also, for those of you who use PdaNet, more power to ya... I used to use it on an older phone and it worked great, so if anyone here is having a problem with Easy Tether, PdaNet might be a good alternative.
@arvinsmendoza I've used EasyTether for an older android phone (the original Motorola Droid) and I'm now using it for a phone that just came out in the first half of this year (LG Revolution) and I had no problems setting up either of those phones. I also set EasyTether up for my sister-in-law's phone which is even newer than mine, I think (the Motorola Droid 3) The process is slightly different depending on your phone and computer, but these steps should basically work.
@arvinsmendoza All three times I've set the program up, I've set it up for a laptop, but as long as you know what type of computer you have, and can find Easy Tether Lite in your Android Market, you should be fine. Could you tell me exactly where in the steps you're having the problem?
I have been Tethering for years actually... It works on most any kind of phone these days; Blackberry Curve, Android, Motorolas.. I did switch my service to Boost Mobile a few years ago and must say that you can tether at 3g speed on Boost for a 100 hours a week or round the clock and they don't care and don't charge if you're on a $50 ulimited plan which shrinks down to $35! The other carriers charge extra for tethering and limit the time. Not on Boost.
Or you can try Pda.NET if it isn't banned by your wireless carrier. It is completely free and their is no hassle in the setup just download from the Android market, click enable usb tether and your set. No rooting required.
There's no question about whether you are beautiful and smart but can I just ask why we shouldn't root and tether for free? I understand that you are giving a tutorial for all android devices and what your advocating here is a nice universal fix for android devices and that's why I respect what you're doing here but if we root first we can eliminate the middle man. Don't get me wrong; I'm not trying to undermine what you've done here...I'm just saying. Anyone with questions can contact me.
@KingBrandonT It's clean now lol. I just didn't feel the need to clean my room up just to show you guys how to tether. The background is kind of irrelevant.
@iGloriousWriter Nope, the only charge is the $10 for the full tether app. Otherwise, you're looking at data usage charges if you don't already have an unlimited data package with Verizon.
@RissaMarissaMarie Relax, Im was just trolling, Anyways I'm just saying that not all phones have that option and if you root a Metro 4g phone you can get a 5meg connection anywhere, Don't get mad... :D
@RissaMarissaMarie Great video it helped alot. One thing I noticed that Verizon has blocked this app. I don't have Verizon but it's on the reviews on the app. Verizon users be aware. I have Simple Mobile and buy GSM unlocked phones online. I have a $40 plan with unlimited everything including 3G Internet. I need the app to check my Gmail and my work email and some researching. It's better than paying $40 a month for broadband Internet. I'm not even home that much. Your a life saver. Thanks
It much easier to take advice from a pretty girl like you than a nerd.
You need a channel like the comment girl or what ever her name is. you are really pretty and not annoying.
This works so good.I never worry about getting a signal when I bring my lap top places.
