  • Look. Just wear the seatbelt. I've worn it my whole life driving. It's not a issue. Just wear it and they won't get money and you will be protected. I'd wear it just so I could thumb my nose at the police.

  • I hate seatbelts as well. After a ticket, I solved the problem by cutting a piece of rubber into the shape of a seatbelt strap and fitting that to the upper seatbelt mount. It extends towards my shoulder just as a seatbelt would, but stops just above my shoulder. Clothing can easily conceal a seatbelt, so officers searching for a violation most often look between the mount and shoulder. Since the rubber is very flexible, my fake seatbelt does not hinder getting in or out of the vehicle.

  • @stewartx5 How fat do you have to be to have trouble getting out of a vehicle because of a seatbelt? If your not super fat then your just lazy and dumb.

  • @26692

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? I said my "fake seatbelt does not hinder getting in or out of the vehicle," not that I have a problem doing so. In other words, the piece of rubber hanging down does not interfere with those actions. As for the rest, you may think I'm "lazy and dumb," but I know my driving abilities and you don't. Thus, I'll go with my own judgement over yours, if you don't mind.

  • @stewartx5 Thats Exactly why i asked how fat you must be in order to need a fake seatbelt. Im praying you get in an accident and get launched from your vehicle. Itll cost us a few bucks trying to save ur ass in the short term but wipeing your seed from the earth would be a win win for all of us. Your so stupid you dont even realize it yet. Good luck in life buddy. Ypou are gonna need it. That much you made clear.

  • @26692 ".. Im praying you get in an accident and get launched from your vehicle ..'

Now why would you wish that? My lack of a seatbelt has done you no harm and I've done you no harm, so why would you now seek harm to me? Regardless, I've ridden in vehicles for over 55 years, roughly 35 of those before seatbelts were required. I've driven (cars, motorcycles, large trucks, etc) for about 40 years, without an accident. I'm still here, in spite of your apparent desire otherwise.

  • @stewartx5 Its that sort of mentality that costs us millions in health care every year keeping you jokers on life support because "for 55 years ive been driving with no accident". You cant be so ignorant to think that you know better about vehicle safety than all the testing done over the years. Your going to think about this conversation right as you are being ejected from your car when it happens. It pleases me to know i will be the last thing on your mind before you die.

  • @26692 '.. costs us millions in health care ..'

Bullcrap. I haven't had an accident, so I haven't cost you (or anyone else) a dime. Further, with or without an accident on my part, our insurance rates would still be high and continue to climb. After all, that's how insurance companies garnish the billions in profits they make each year. And, yes, I most certainly do know far more about MY driving than any or all of the statistics or studies done.

  • @stewartx5 Being ignorant to road safety is up to you my friend. The thing about ignorant people is that they are ignorant. Makes it hard to see the light. Good luck in life buddy, you seem like the kind of person that needs it.

  • I hate seat belts too. I cut my wire in the seat belt latch to stop the god dam beeping. It works geat. People don't realilize if you never get into a accident then wearing a seat belt is useless.

  • @grimlords Have you ever read the darwin awards book? You may be in it one day after this posting haha.

  • Wow, BGPD must be desparate for money, they look like the homeless begging for money in the middle of the street.

  • lol my man

  • They really have nothing better to do?

  • I love you!

  • They're tax collectors with guns & badges. Dundee at night from Arlington to Buffalo grove Road is the biggest speed trap anywhere. They must have 4 squads at a time cruising Dundee like hungry sharks ready to move in but it's the smell of blood it's the smell of money. These road blocks are clearly a violation of your 4th Amendment rights. You're stopped at a light some clown walks up to your car peeks inside then hands you a ticket! Bullshit! Nothing to do with safety it's all about money.

  • Buffalo Grove has a great road police, but sometimes it can be a little too much.

  • are u serious? wanna ticket, drive at 11 on saturday on Dundee and U have a ticket!!

  • I see BGPD still has nothing better to do with their time. They have always been like that. I remember them being ruthless 17 years ago.

  • The US government Department of Transportation subsidizes this effort (the click it or ticket campaign).

So, when you think about it, it's worse. Your Federal taxes are used for a police effort to get you cited by your local police force.
