I Remember Ezra Lusk...He was this kid on a Suzuki in 1996, saw him on the pages of Dirt Bike & Motocoross Action magazines a little bit...then...for 1997, He Grabbed a Yamaha Factory Team Contract & He was a fucking STAR (but I remember the Yamaha YZ's in 1997 & 1998 and there was no way in hell that any rider with talent wasn't going to win on one of those) but Yamaha was the 2-Stroke KING, that's why the Yamaha YZ125 won out MXA 125 of the Year from 1996 all the way through the life of 125cc
Ezra has always been, and will always be my favorite rider. It's because of him that I started riding. I still remember him on his honda #3 kicking back and relaxing and still going amazingly fast! Too bad you can't find alot of vid's of him. He's the reason I still keep my VCR because of all the movies I recorded back then :P
Ahhh Those where the days!!! Lusk, Emig, Kiedroswki, Mcgrath, Lorroco just to name a few.... 2 stroke power all the way... i'm sorry but that was mx/sx for real... respect for the guys today but back then they where pros who did it for the love of the sport... now a days it's all for money... riders back then WHERE rides now they are made...
i'm tired of all these people who know nothing about motocross coming on here and doing the RIP lusk thing.. it actually makes me laugh a little due to the lack of knowledge due to bros. racing requires so much more talent than friggin freestyle. i mean yea it sucks that your freestyle hero died but at least due your research on shit and know who is who.
Remember the soft and fast style of Ezra Lusk? he never looks tired. We would like to see him riding again, Or see him here in more videos, in facebook, etc.
Ezra was my favorite rider. I got his jersey in Germany 1999 after i broke my leg.We had great fun me wearing his jersey and giving autograph for him.And all the german guys where thinking i was Ezra, but ezra was sittig next to Jeremy Mc Grath laughing about it.
Ezra was my Idol. He gave me his jersey once at Glen Helen. Now when I rear it at night, my wife knows I mean action.
97-99 was his prime on a factory Honda and if it wasn´t for all the bad luck he had (´98 or ´99, can´t remember), he´d have won the championship. Wish those races were on line. The only one I´ve found yet is San Diego 2001 but that great race was between RC and MC. Lusk ended up fourth behind Larocco.
I'll never forget the times you made McGrath look like a school girl...man those were times I'll never forget. You were the fastest thing on 2 wheels I've ever seen. Thanks for the great races!
Where is Ezra Lusk? i would like to see him riding again SX or maybe Supermotard. I like his style. Is fast and soft to ride. Never looks tired. Perfect work Ezra.
I think he is still living in GA, but he is really into tennis of all things! He rides at the Ride4at charity event in Bremen GA every year, it's the Sunday after the Atlanta SX. There is actually a clip of him riding this event on here I agree with you, he always had great style.
Ezra had something in common with Jeremy??
