  • @The Two2Many - you are right except you shouldnt put the limitation of "rock" songs.

  • The BOTTSR has a rocky reputation!

One of the most misheard lyrics of all time.

  • @BOTTSRGEDDON i can clearly hear it says "bottom". it sounds nothing like "bottsr"

  • The first time I heard this song I was in my Kenworth rolling down some empty highway in upstate New York. It was about three in the morning and the temperature was below zero. As I looked out my mirrors I could see the stacks blowing a white stream of exhaust twice the length of my tractor/trailer, and then this song started. What a rush!

  • Ted Nugent is a hypocrite and a coward and a has been. That whole tough guy persona is a mirage.

  • @visigots1 all that comment did was made you look like a dumb ass... ted nugent is the exact opposite of all those words you used to describe him... get your facts strait...dumb ass.

  • @visigots1 I'm sure Uncle Ted will love to see this....

  • where ...is the Legend button?

this song is totally and emotionally evocative!

  • This song rocks in a huge way!!!

  • The bottom has a rocky reputation

  • i think this is his best solo song??? ever!!!

  • All I can say is WOW, I heard this in high school in the 80's and I still love it. Greatness lasts forever.

  • When Joe was out on his own he could rock, but from what I've read joining the Eagles may have been his best move since Hendley apparently helped get him sober. Saw him a time or two on stage where he just couldn't quite keep it together all the way through a song.. There is a video on here I believe of him teaching slide guitar and he was out there, but still could find the note.

  • @Azznbad The Eagles aren't worth listening to without Walsh. Eagles music reminds me of something you'd hear at the dentist...the sound track to your root canal.

  • awesome song by an ordinary average guy

  • this song is one of my favorite songs of all time, and yet almost nobody i talk to has every heard of it. what the hell?

  • This song has been known to cause religous experiences.

  • homo

  • I Would VOTE for BIG JOE any Day!

  • I have loved this song ever since I bought the vinyl album decades ago. It is thrilling to see that it's still being appreciated after all these years!

  • How can you not love some smokin' Joe?

  • poop

  • I am looking for the music video

  • Great tune..Does anyone have the original MTV version of the video ?

  • [](-_-)[]

  • this is a brillant song

  • love this

  • OZZY FOR PRESIDENT 2012

  • 4:04 THE CONFESSOR {}(-_-){}

  • intellectual. combined with the powerchord wall of sound compression and ..breathtaking.

    Tom

  • This simply had to be one of the inspirational songs for the Richard Rahl series of swords and sorcery books.

  • What happened to the promo video, coulda sworn someone uploaded various quality versions

  • great song for the real times in life, weve all got to face our selves

  • best song ever made?

  • One of my all time faves... =o)

  • Excellent song!!! I'm only 29 years old and I absolutely love music such as this.

  • @DMercier82 I'm only 59 and I still love this song. Great music lives forever.

  • i agree

    president walsh

  • i agree

  • Don Felder for VP !!

  • amazing song truely one of the greats

  • One of the best songs ever i'd vote for Walsh in 2012.....

  • The Eagles always put on a great live show. But Joe Walsh stands above all the other great talent on that stage. His songs, his guitar playing, his energy, just make magic. I'll never forget seeing his band live in the 1970s. One of the best concert performances I've ever seen.

  • The bottom has a rocky reputation.

  • EPIC

  • i agree JOE WALSH for president 2012

  • and ozzy as Secretary of state

  • Comment removed

  • @grassman8100 And of course Ted Nugent as Secretary of Defense!

  • @dieselheart001 ---- If only !!!!! Bad Guys would be droppin' like flys. LOL

  • @1661cb Uncle Ted would give counterterrorism a whole new meaning, and a lotta shit

just would not be going on no more after he unleashed the Gonzo on them! Instead of the orchestrated clusterfuck we have going on in Washbowl DC right now, we'd have the WANGO TANGO!!

  • @dieselheart001 Bring back the Court Jester, and that's what Ted Nugent can be. Either that or give him the title of Undersecretary of Complete and Utter Douchebags.

  • @scabbybuttcrack Couldn't agree more. Ted Nugent isn't fit the lick the dingle berries off Joe's ass.

  • This is simply one of the best ROCK songs ever. It includes great dynamics, layering in instrumentation, and some of the most powerful guitar riffs ever. Rock on, Joe!

  • Joe Walsh is a guitar legend !!!! The James Gang & solo years are my favorites!!!

  • First in 1989 I got my first Joe Walsh LP....and this is one of his greatest songs he ever played...long live Joe :)

  • The most powerful, complex song ever written....

Joe Walsh as president would be a complete waste of his talent....

(but I'd still vote for him if he ran...)

  • Joe Walsh for President 2012 he has my support!

  • love to see the original video...i caught this tour ! awesome tune....

  • Joe Walsh with David Allen Coe as VP

  • My fave Joe Walsh song. Classic 80's guitar rock

  • Totally agree that JW is a different beast, but so is dicky betts out of ABB, the abb band isn't trash. Look at how many different gigs CSNY did in and out of each other.I just think to say that the eagles are trash is a bit harsh. If JW thought the eagles we're trash he wouldn't have sat in......you can't even compare the two ( eagles and JW'S solo stuff,or the james gang for that matter.

  • The Eagles are trash, but Joe Walsh = the man

  • @AgentJar Anybody that says the Eagles are trash, obviously doesn't know a thing about music.Your 23 and kids of your age are blind to good music. The eagles we're formed back when the allman Brothers, skynyrd,CSNY,JUST TO NAME A VERY LIMITED FEW we're the back bone of classic rock.....Get the SHIT out of your ears son the world will be a better place, by the way Joe Walsh is very good and helped make what the eagles are today.

  • @magsterndaze I see what agent is saying. I do like a few Eagles songs, but Walsh on his own is a completely different species, just my opinion. They are by no means "trash"

  • @AgentJar - I disagree. The Eagles were quite influential. They were quite good. But to each his own, I suppose.

  • this brings back sooo many memories..only two people could ever tell me this!

    been at least twenty years..

  • has everything this track...

  • i had a dj tell me this song didnt exist

  • About time this made it onto You Tube! :-) thanks for the upload.

  • The player, the smoker, the Sahdi....the poet ,the childrocker of presence.....too many live strings ,on your bow ....thank your whatever ....that you have enlightened my muscial life

  • Joe Walsh was ahead of his self, the Radio Stations could not keep up with him.

The 60s 70s was a bunch of shit for the young people.

Being rousted by the cops and the Race problems.

And so was Alvin Lee, ten years after.

  • Joe Walsh was ahead of his self, the Radio Stations could not keep up with him.

The 60s 70s was a bunch of shit for the young people.

Being rousted by the cops and the Race problems.

  • this would be a perfect fit for cowboys and aliens

  • god this songs great thanks dad joe is one the greatest of all

  • All I can say is J O E don't HURT 'EM... It's Only Rock & Roll....

  • Jon bon jovi pobly came up with Ima cowboy after hearing this song

  • I think I bought this cassette at Ben Franklin for like 3 bucks...One cool song...This one...not a big seller...

  • Joe Walsh is awesome and I don't know why these so called "classic rock" stations don't play him

  • @sloan522 All these "classic rock" stations that purport to play the greatest Rock from their giant library of music. Our local station's call letters are KZEP. Sounds like they would play a lot of good Led Zeppelin, which there is tons of. If they play LZ it's always Stairway to Heaven which I could never hear again and not be bothered. Overplayed and not as good as The Ocean, or Over the Hills..so on. I listen to the oldies station now. Odds of hearing a decent song are much better. Peace

  • @MsMaryTerry01 please be my friend, If I could put what you said in a song it would be the best classic rock song against classic rock ever-

  • rolling stones bashed this album and this song particular. fuck rolling stones!

  • Should be played in a western love joe!!!

  • @oneill421 How about the Dark Tower series instead?

  • Am I the only person who thinks the beginning sounds like a Old West movie. A cowboy on a horse going to kick some ass?

  • Over at MTV's web site, they have the 1985 video. By today's video technology, it's considered quaint, but the point is made very clear.

  • A guy who stuck to his guns when a lot of his contemporaries were resorting to cheesy ballads to make a quick buck (Boston, Foreigner). This hung around on the rotation of WSHE (Miami, now deceased) for a long long time IIRC.

  • If I had a dime for every time I got stoned to this song during the 80's I'd bet I'd have close to $5.00 in my pocket!

  • Used to bang my high school girlfriend to this in the back of my 68 Camaro in 86, still got the car, not the girl.

  • @oldnaziwino

BEST THING I'VE HEARD ALL DAY!

  • @oldnaziwino thank god,u made the right choice.lol

  • I love this song! I sure wish I could find a live version. Anyone know if Joe ever performed it live? Joe Walsh rocks!

  • @JamesSCameron look on limewire or mp3 rocket it is on an album called joe walsh the clown prince of rock and this is a live album with the confessor on it

  • @622kck You rock. Thanks for the tip ;o)

  • One of the most unique guitarists ever. His riffs were just so shot out.

  • remember him on the Drew Carry Show? classic old rocker!

  • zero dislikes!!!!!!!

  • This song here starts out like I was listening to New Age Electronica, and then you hear the guitar playing in this awesome sound a little similar to Pink Floyd.

    I REALLY LOVE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • killer tune

  • @ski4257 fuck a harley...noisy ass show boating garbage

  • @leonakita And super bikes arent? People that ride superbikes are all about the loosk man. Most harley riders are in it for the enjoyment of a growling beats beneath you and the wind through your hair. Unless your one of those posers that rides a big boat harley with speakers and headed seats.

  • head banging jesus be praised

  • This music seriously requires a good set of headphones and the ability to crank it up loud.

  • Joe can bend them strings for sure....

  • I had forgot (regrettably) about this song. One of my all time favorites. thanks for the upload

  • "the bottom has a rocky reputation..." classic

  • love it,

  • Joe did have a video to go with this. The video was dated and kinda strange it sucked and reeked of 80's Karma. The song deserved better. They don't write em like this anymore. Smooth then hard core guitar. Joe is older now but he still has it.

  • Joe did have a video to go with this. The video was dated and kinda strange. Actually it sucked and reeked of 80's Karma. The song deserved better. They dont write em like this anymore.

  • @MrVulcan10 Yeah the vid was really weird..lotsa desert stuff and joe lookin all confessory n stuff

  • Why doesn't this song get air play?

  • @swlabr21 Because it has deeper meaning and there goal is to dumb down America.

  • I would like the video even more if there was more to it like some kind of video; maybe the lyrics.

  • I remember the first time me and my buds heard this. REALLY waisted!!!

    What a powerful tune!!

  • Fantastic,,2 Thumbs Up !!!

  • Yeah, 1985, I was still young(14). I like this song still.

  • This is a great song. I remember it as a kid. I had to wait for the radio to play it, and run to record it on the cassette. I had a little 2 speaker portable as my stereo in 1978.

  • @hockeytown49341 True story, first time I ever heard this song was over the summer of 2010 and I thought it was bon jovi because of the intro, but after hearing the whole song I was in awe... this song is amazing.

  • @austinrok1919 Wow!! I forgot all about this lost classic, they don’t make um like this any more.

  • I think that this is the best song he ever did . The guitar work is just plain awesome .

  • when this song first released and joe was touring- i was in nova scotia. joe gave an interview to a halifax radio station, and they asked him about the madonna nude photos that had just surfaced (long before her controlled marketting of naughty photos). "joe, what do you think of madonna?" - "too hairy for me, man..." i laugh everytime i hear this rare serious song by mr walsh... love yer outlook, man
