  • I have a 2000 Honda Accord flat 4 cylinder automatic trans.. Yep, I read the top comments, and the transmission really sucks. We had to get it serviced a few times, and we are still having some minor problems with it. Sometimes it jerks if I go from 2nd to 3rd gear, and sometimes when I stop it jerks forward a little bit.

  • @MrAngryGorilla2000 sometimes it happens to me too. it only happens when going down into first. but it doesnt go forward dramatically. like u just hear the rpms rise a bit

  • @MrAngryGorilla2000 change transmission fluid every year, you'll be fine:) You may add sea foam transmission flush before you do the change. mine is 228K v6 2000

  • 0-60 in 13 secs, hahahahahahahha

  • @335ipower11

screw you. Its not the fastest car but its still not bad.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo its 7 secs

  • @335ipower11 its actually around 8 seconds...

  • @335ipower11 ur obviously a fucking idiot..... the car doesnt actually take off till bout 7 seconds into the video.... jeez .... grow a brain or some common sense

  • @335ipower11 its like mid 7's

  • Have you ever had transmission problems in this Accord V6?

  • @PeterGriffin4200

not since its been in my family since 2007 with 66k. Im not sure about the first owner but its been perfect for me *knock on wood* lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo I was about to buy a 2001 Accord V6 EXL with 95,000 miles but tranny issues in these cars scared me off....nice to hear yours is ok and hope it stays ok

  • @PeterGriffin4200

I think most are OK now. The tranny problems surfaced around 50k but I wouldnt buy a V6 now with gas soo expensive lol but thanks tho, Im hoping it will be fine, im gonna be keeping this car another year at least so im hoping it wont fail in that time period haha

  • @PeterGriffin4200 I have a 1998 Accord (same car essentially) and just hit 201,000 miles, never a transmission problem. It's actually an awesome transmission...drops 2 gears immediately when you floor it, shifts smoothly, overall an awesome car and I'd highly recommend it.

  • @cjfisher2012 same here its the coupe though and i have like 10k more in miles than you! All it needs is a new engine mouth the thing to keep the engine revs low while shifting gears

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

I want my mother to buy a 2010 VW Jetta Wolfsburg with the turbo If they still have them left over from 2010. My dad would get it for invoice because he works for advertisement and works with there commercials. So I guess he could be considered and employee :)

  • I wish I had a spot for this! lol I love the burn out!

  • TSX Ftw!! I know this sounds weird but my moms odyssey sounds sweet when started from the exaust haha on cold start. I love that the old Hondas exausts were so loud and sweet sounding.

  • @hondaftw1234

Yeah my car is def quicker than 4 cylinder TSX with the auto. Like I want a TSX but itd have to be the stick, no way Id want my next car to be slower than this car lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo haha, I have been trying to think of cars that would fit you with out killing you at the pump. How about a base TL but you give it a Type S treatment by adding everything the Type S has. I have been thinking about tempting my mom into getting one by telling her how much fun she will have lol

  • @hondaftw1234 The pharmisist at my work has one. Her's is a 2007 Type-S Black on black. It has everything you can imagine! It is such a nice car! The pharmisist that filled in until she got here was a guy that drove a fully loaded 2010 TL with the SH-AWD system.

  • @hondaftw1234

I believe the base TL and type S get very similar gas mileage. Id rather just get a Type S too I want the extra horses :P I think a good tradeoff would be a turbo motor tho, like the GTI or maybe that new Focus ST who knows? lol

  • @hondaftw1234 The Odyssey is a damn good van. Its hard to find a faster more practical vehicle. Damn nice steering for a van too.

  • damn this is same kind of wheelspin my impala does from a stand still LOL and looks just as quick!! yours did about 7.6/7.7 if you want a slighty better time IMO put it in 3rd it will inprove a bit i did that to mine and seen (in D= 0 to 60 in 7.6& in 3rd 0 to 60 in 7.2)

  • @90Mrknowitall

haha thanks, you must have an older Impala bc the rentals that I always drove with the 3.5L could never spin the tires. Im sure the 3.9L can but we dont get those. I think it would be quicker if I didnt spin the wheels soo much and manually shifted from 1-2-D3-D4 but Im afraid that might put too much strain on the transmission lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo yeah it an 08 3.5vvt but its a fleet model from enterprise so theres no traction control on it to cut power

  • Much quicker than I thought.

  • @Intechdude300

lol thanks, but Im actually quite annoyed it took like 8 secs in this video, maybe the wheel spin slowed it down? I def want something faster than this car next year ;) hahaha

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

yeah it looks like the wheels spin. But hey for an 02 car that was respectable. I'd guess you'd want something around 5 secs?

  • @Intechdude300

lol 01 silly :P But naw I think I would get too many speeding tickets with 5 secs to 60, more like 6-6.5 secs is what Im looking for hehe

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

    I keep thinking 02.

  • @Intechdude300

lol i mean you can't tell the difference! I should just tell ppl that when i plan to sell this car HAHA
