The first generation Viper is the one I fell in love with and it's still the only one want. Too many auto makers couldn't figure out how to design a hot sports coupe anymore, but Chrysler nailed this one.

There certainly were areas that needed improvement: No A/C, power windows... or roof make it a tough sell in places like Florida. However, the look and the stance made almost all of those drawbacks completely forgivable.

Oh, and side pipes... just plain awesome. They should be on EVERY Viper.

Why? Even if this was a north American model that was imported a lot of Dodge's are released as Chrysler products in Europe. Infact all the Oreca race team Vipers were Chryslers. This is coming from a FORD guy that has done hardly any reaserch on Dodge/Chrysler.

Even though Mini is BMW a BMW is not a Mini. All I was saying was that he just overpaid for a car with meager performance so it should at least have a key that is badged dodge at least. but if I had to pick I would have made the keys with the Viper logo on them. especially since Chrysler is owned by fiat now. used to be mercedes.

Well - I love my Viper, I´m never gong to sell it - I´m even thinking of buying a GTS. If you are not shure, why not go to a Viper-event and ask for a passenger-ride in a car och go to a dealership and make a test-ride. Lambos and Ferarris are nice, if you can afford the running-costs - I can´t :)

No actually - this car was sold in Germany and later imported to Sweden. I f you look close you see all the Europe-details: It says Chrysler no Dodge on all badges, all the gauges are in km/h and celsius, there is no 3rd brake light, the seat belts are on the inside of the chairs. But the car I have now is US-import yes..

Well, back in 1992 this is what they thougt looked good. Nowadays, the carrides on 19-iinch rims and has been lowered almost 5 cm, I now have only 4 cm left in front, and in the wheelarch in the back, I can´t get man hand between the tire and the fender...check it out on tencylinders dot com
