  • no no no atari do,nt bother with an religion cuzz it dit couses the doom of your ugly console!!!!

  • It dont have music,Put some of Slayer and you are ready to go.

  • @GarthMcCreery

And that extra level would be? If it's Thy Flesh Consumed, it's been on the PC far longer than it has been out on the 360. Plus, Keyboard and mouse is the classic and best way to play DooM. Also, there are literally thousands (and I mean thousands) of DooM Megawads and mods and TC's out there, exclusive only to the PC versions of Ultimate DooM, DooM II, TNT: Evilution, and The Plutonia Experiment.

Ergo, PC trumps all of the un-original console ports of DooM.

  • James Earl Jones approves

  • bout 5 seconds in i said WTF!

  • does BFG really mean Big Fucking Gun?

  • @gamezonic

It's really "bio-force gun" in the manual. But otherwise, yeah

  • @DieDaiGeneral The abbreviation BFG stands for "Big Fucking Gun" as described in Tom Hall's original Doom design document. ORIGINAL Doom design document. ORIGINAL

  • @DieDaiGeneral The movie claimed it was Bio force gun... The manual for doom 2 said "Big FRAGGING gun" which is right in line with "Big Fucking Gun" in the original doom design documents.

It really is Big Fucking Gun.

  • JAg sucks!

  • @DoomWrestler1990 ...your mum

  • this is the best of bests commercial ever

  • My ass 64 bit, just has 2 32 bit processors.

  • @KartKing4ever Who gives a BIT? (chortle)

  • "You BLAST the nasty pink demon right between their beady little eyes!"

  • Do the math? Ok

Jaguar is 64-Bit. Therefore it should have the same video quality as Nintendo64.

  • Do the math b*tches!!!

  • Id go to this church before Id go to Joel Osteen's.

  • You couldn't even put a commercial this violent on TV nowadays.

  • the jaguar is not 64 bit

  • OoOh man, this commercial freaked me out, but I didnt know at the time it was for Atari Jaguar! This was when I first heard of doom....I was like 6 or 7

  • wasn't there a few other Doom commercials? I can't find the one I remember, it involves a guy and a chainsaw... and it wasn't of the gameplay. He/she who finds it for me is my hero!

  • why cant commercials be like this anymore

  • Each time he says Hell its perfectly synced with the music, btw amazing game..lifelong fan..and ambitiously waiting for Doom 4 ;)

  • "You blast the ???? demons right between their beady little eyes"? What does he say at that part?

  • @MLFreese pink

  • @MLFreese 'the nasty pink demons'

  • Well Epic Commercial for a Hellish awesome Game...Shame the Jaguar Version don't have Music

  • They should put these games on Virtual Console.

  • Good game, bad system.

  • Now, that's how you market a good game on a bad console.

  • @dslcobra yup, and also with with all the political correctness and its religious theme. this commercial would never be seen to day

  • If Church involved slayin' demons from Hell with kick ass weaponry,I'd be there EVERY Sunday!!

  • @rang3r34 AMEN to that

  • @rang3r34 hell YEAH

  • @rang3r34 Amen brother. I am right there beside ya.

  • @rang3r34 Grab the BFG, were going to church!

  • I probably get some thumbs down about this...

But I couldn´t hold my laugh when I saw that the church window had text "Do the math!" xD

  • nice

  • atari bothered with the religion to impress gamers,no matter what they dit it just doomed the console.

  • Fucking great commercial... except for the "do the math " at the end it breaks the felling

  • wow. talk about a long time ago...

  • cool memories

  • I would go back to church if this is what they taught. lol

  • Haha, same with me.

  • I remember when Jagaur first came out and everyone wanted one!

  • @WCWite

    I didn't. I knew it would flop. I bought a PS1. Great decision.

  • Perhaps at the time..but now 15 years later, nobody is playing PS1 but the Jaguar still has many followers.

  • @IndustrialBaron

Whoa. I beg to differ for all of the following:

The PS1 install base never went away, and was a HUGE base to begin with. There are tons of PS1 iso's available on the net if not every PS1 game ever made. Systems in the PS lineup preceding the PS1 allowed for backwards compatibility.

Bottom line, the Jaguar was never popular and even to this day it's not and its following is miniscule. The PS1 was a HUUUUUUUGE success and the games are definitely still being played today.

  • @IndustrialBaron the ps1 games has been remade for ps2 and ps3 and/or sequels have been made for them. so the games never faded to black.

  • @IndustrialBaron Um, what? Jaguar was, and remains, a niche console with a tiny fanbase. PSX sold 100 million systems worldwide and has numerous games that are now considered classics (Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, etc.). As Atari themselves said, "Do the Math."

  • Cool commercial

  • I lawled at the music

  • Gosh, this should have been the advertisement for the PC version. :D

  • HEL-HELL!!

  • It would be awesome if id had this priest preaching while you were playing Doom. Kind of like a voice over thing. Probably would have sounded like shit with the technology they had at the time.

  • Where's the awesome doom music?

  • you BLast the nasty pink deamons right between their eyes

  • fuck yeah, Atari 4 life

  • Does anyone know a site where i can watch old fps game commercials, like duke nukem, redneck rampage, shadow warrior?

  • Learn about the Bittorrent protocol, and then get them that way.

  • DOOM IS THE PWNER

    IT ROCKS SOOOO HARD

  • it rocks so hard it was made for the SNES and we still play it and enjoy it like any other shooter.... ALL HAIL DOOM!!!!!

  • Yeah... but the graphics stink on it. The music is okay, but it is barely watcheable. But hey, for the time it was good! :)

  • Huh? I'm not masito, lol.

  • Comment removed

  • Good, go to bed and cry to your mommy. Start a fight somewhere else. X(

  • Cordis, you're full of it. Get a life.

  • ROFL.

  • BEST DOOM COMERCIAL!!

"how do you escape from this damnation?"

"YOU BLAST THEM BETWEEN THEYR DEMON EYES!!"

  • i love doom i have been playing it since i was like 2 same thing with marathon. but anyways i got doom for my windows about five or six years ago cuz i didnt play it in like years so i got doom 2 and i wanted a set that had doom 1 2 and final doom at a local game shop a few years back this guy wanted to sell it to me for $50 then i brought my mom to buy it and he sold it to me for $24 lol bastard tried to rip off a little kid

  • that commercial made me play doom in the early nineties, the pc version of course

  • Thats the problem with people nowa' days, Back in the day they had add crazy ass adds like this all the time, But nowa days if there was a commercial like this on TV, People would be saying things about religion and racism, People can't just see that its a funny and bad ass add, They always ALWAYS have to have problems with video games =(

  • You can thank Hilary Clinton, or Jack Thompson for that one.

  • At least Jack Thompson got disbarred. LMFAO!!!!! Hey Jack Thompson, The Price Is WROOONG, Bitch!

  • wow, angry father gamer

  • BEST DOOM COMMERCIAL EVER!

  • you turd asses lol i own doom for the pc doom 2 final doom doom 3 and doom 3 ressorection of evil. andi think the best port is the psx playstation it almost beats the computer one and hase better music well it lacks in game music but the system dooms hade better scarier music. only psx and 64. others suck. but pc.

  • I blame DOS.

  • NO JOHN! YOU WILL BE KILL BY DEMONS!

  • All console versions of the original Doom suck, PC FTW

  • this is the most idiotic comment I've ever read hahahah

  • Doom 64 was good, but it's a completely different game, and all the console ports have missing levels, so PC is the best way to play Doom.

  • "FreedomGotAnAK:

Doom 64 was good, but it's a completely different game, and all the console ports have missing levels, so PC is the best way to play Doom. "

    Quoted for truth

  • Yeah, I agree. But doom 3: collector's edition for xbox includes ultimate doom, final doom, and doom II. Just like on the computer. So there's no difference.

  • @FreedomGotAnAK i say PSX-360-PC r best way to play doom

  • @FreedomGotAnAK 360 has all the levels plus a new chapter. thanks id =D

  • This commercial isn't controversial at all. I've been to church services like the one here and they've all said the same thing about Hell. Besides, there isn't any other religious matters in this commercials. Now for a controversial one, watch the video of the Doomguy blasting an image of Bill Gates.

  • Yeah, but look at those super-religious people. They critisized pokémon for religious references.

    THERE WERE ALMOST NONE!

  • this would be very controversial if this was on tv these days.

  • What the hell is up with this "Do the math"?It sounds like "do the dew".

  • 1 month later and i reply, sorry

    yeah thats because he's black

  • yea sorry about this trolling thing but the slogan for juagar was do the math cause of how it was competion agains sega genesis and super nintendo, the graphics of those systems compared to jaguar
