Thanks so much for posting one of my most famous roles. I had no idea at the time this would become the iconic scene, pro-women that it became. I appreciate being remembered and do tell your Director friends - I AM VERY ALIVE AND READY TO WORK! LOL :)
About the only decent scene in what was a poor film where Connery looks bored and out of condition. Trina Parks martial arts hardened body is awesome, while Connery looks clapped out.
The fight in the elevator was very well done. But yes, aside from that scene and this one Diamonds was just terrible. I can't believe this was only ten years after Dr. No. Connery aged fast.
That was another good scene with the fake Bond. However, the whole film seemed to be about doubles, with x amount of Blofeld doubles, which started to make it stupid. I do agree Connery, who was 42, seemed worn out, bored and only in it for the money. Live and Let Die was like a breath of fresh air after this expensive turkey.
For a parody of the scenes filmed at this location, see "Diamonds Are Forever 2008" by lyndatraves. Looks like they tried to reproduce the scenes shot by shot.

Bambi and Thumper - what nonsense!! Imagine that in a Craig movie...LOL!! I am so glad, that they finally "corrected" this kind of rubbish with a newer, fresher version!
Yes. It's between 40 minutes and an hour long and is one of the extras on the Diamonds Are Forever DVD.
All the Pre-Brosnan Bond DVDs have similar docs narrated by Patrick McNee (who played the fake chauffeur in "View to a Kill" - as well as being Steed on "The Avengers") - they're all very good informative stuff.
Thumper's body is off the hook.

If a guy's gonna get attacked by women, they might as well me beautiful! Damn the critics, I like Connery's last 007 movie.

Shit movie, but I loved the elevator fight scene with Peter Franks and the campy opening.

In a Craig film the camera would be shaking wildly and we wouldn't be able to see anything anyway.

The worst scene in the movie, we don't want James Bond to be beaten up by two cocky girls. Boo for Bambi and Thumper, hooray for Wint & Kidd!

Thumper aged well!
Doesn't Jimmy-D sell spicy porked sausage?
