  • What exactly was the problem with the motor? Mine is making a similar sound.

  • @imthereallum - I'm not an electrician, but when those motors start to get extremely loud they usually fail soon thereafter. Has to do with the brushes inside the motor. At that point replacement is the only way to resolve the issue.

  • Did you put a union on the outlet side of the pupm this time?

  • @midlantic1 - You just watched the video with the completed task, answer is no. I've seen too many unions leak from vibration from these pump systems kicking on and off. If they made a 'good' ground joint union these days I'd consider it like the one on the inlet installed 30 years ago. I'm constantly replacing black iron ground joint unions on gas lines systems... has everything to do with quality control in materials. It doesn't exist and rare to find a sweat all brass union for 3/4".
