People say that they started getting progressive on Killing Technology, but this stuff sounded pretty different for the time. Denis was an awesome guitarist.
If you like this check out the deaththrashers demo " too cool for school" the songs are trail of blood trail of tears, nazi metalers and skate or death check it out oh yeah the singer of the band me death trhasher lou was at a voivod show and I sang the song voivod after snake handed me the mic in the audience what an experience
@666Goddammit666 metal plus punk plus black ops intel, plus leading quantum physicist plus genitic creation plus whatever you can dream of. That's voivod.
Awesome. Used to think of this as the 'sophomore slump' in the Voivod collection. Has aged very well. On top of the disparate influences on their early sound (prog/art noise/venom-style metal/hardcore punk/what else?), the production sounds like a furnace trying to kill a hot water heater. Their other albums sound like Seals and Croft produced next to this. Perfect fit for the fevered apocolyptic vibe, ex. the ragged sound on Killing Joke's 'Revelation'.
every timei hear this band i think, "what's this? i like it!" and then feeldumb when someone tellsme, each album rules soo hard

Voivod sounds like if you took Motorhead and Metallica both and gave them acid+mushrooms and put them in space after the apocalypse.
