Haha, I live right off Route 66! It's a major street called Foothill Boulevard around these parts. I've always wanted to travel the whole road, from Santa Monica to Chicago...but there are some detours along the way because it's broken up in some parts.
The main thing I've always wanted to do is have a cream pie fight. Preferably in a fancy restaurant, but I'd settle for my own backyard. ;)

I think it gets really exciting when you watch this video in 10 years time. What will you have done, which points are still of interest, what new points are on it. Good stuff.
