dit is een klassieker daar moet je voorzichtig mee zijn ik heb er ook een maar dan een 1.6TGI alleen ik scheur er niet mee ik ben een liefhebber

heb er ook zo een gehad 1900 gti 16v 164 pk 245 op de teller echt helemaal tegek jammer dat ik hem weg heb moeten doen had 3000 gld onkosten waaronder 16 klepjes a 100 gld de stuk maar wel  de fijnst auto die ik ooit heb gehad

Odd special edition GTI 16v models came with standard air conditioning, which kept the cabin a fair bit cooler than the standard heat/vent system on hot days with fan on full blast and heat setting on cool.

Sodeju, zo hard ben ik zelfs in m'n XM Turbo CT nog niet gegaan. Be BX is en blijft een superwagen. Licht, uitstekend châssis, prima 1905 cm3 motor (XU). En hydropneumatische vering. Helaas onterecht ondergewaardeerd (alleen door mensen die er nooit in gereden hebben).

my friend bought a week ago a citroen BX 1.9lt 16v GTI for 500 eur, here in greece... the car is in good contition and the only problem was in cooling system, which was repaired... then the citroen showed its strength... it is really a respectable car...

you can use a new ECU, etc Megasquirt..then you rew higher than 8000 :D

well you can try but you will blow your bearings as they cannot handle more than 8000 ;)

I have a different chip in the ECU which revs to 7800rpm

and i have a 16valve, which offcourse means that it will rev to 7200rpm from the factory. You probably have a different model?

Mine is also a 16valve, Mk II with catalysator and 148hp. Red area starts from 6500rpm and there it also stops if I try to rev it higher.

Where is Your chip from? :)

Ebay, i guess mk2 stopts at 6500 because it has a different system (M1.3).

The Mk2 hits the limiter at 7000 RPM.

Ah but this is based on the Mi16 PSA unit, and that has oil jets and tougher bearings etc.. I believe this was the basis for the high revving Pug 406 BTCC touring car!! It's a unit capable of consistently high revs. Wasn't this unit a diesel engine originally??

I had a (swedish) 16V too, 148hp and cat anyway, and it revved to about 7200 rpm. Mine was an -88 though. Which when I think about it was the first year it was produced?

i have a 158hp (D6C) made in june 87. citroen-dealer here checked the history of it... its the 97`s build ... realy one of the first :)

btw mine do just 68OOrpm but with the headwork
