I used to live in Chalmette, sort of near the old Kaiser Aluminum plant. I had many dear and lovely friends there. What a sweet place, and what lovely people. My love to you all.
Wonderful editing job. Even if I wasn't also from New Orleans, I would have understood exactly where you were coming from. My family lucked out with regards to damage on our home, but my second home(school), Mount Carmel, in Lakeview, was very damaged and it broke my heart. You have my sympathy. Hope y'all do okay.
i live 45 minutes from new orleans lafourche parish and we were blessed with not that bad damage.we stayed home.we couldn't believe what happened until we went ride and see.i'm glad your doing better and may god bless you.
Still hard to watch. even though my family and I moved close to Baton Rouge, it still feels like yesterday when I think of what we lost. What hurts more is when I hear from people that I "deserved" it because I chose to live in a low-lieing area.
Beautiful video, Vuvu. You matched the video to the music perfectly; it's haunting. Tragic and beautiful. I almost seems like a dream, but yet it also seems way too real for comfort.
Masterful video accompanied by a hauntingly appropriate musical score. I share your sense of loss...until January of 2006, I lived in a minivan, a pup-tent, and a wooden box before I got myself and my little dog situated in a real house. God bless you and your family and I hope brighter days lie ahead for all of you! Best, James Prine
That. Was. Amazing......Im so sorry you had to go through that....
