You need to read. I don't think youtube is the correct place to ask for help about Ubuntu. They have their on fourm and irc channel with 100's if not 1000's of people willing to help you out.

I have Ubuntu on a notebook(netbook) I have intel atom 1.6gz 1g of RAM don't know to much about graphics.(or you could call it Acer Aspire one 10.1 inch). All non-HD/HQ I can play youtube fine with Xp but Unbutu It's slow and stops at points Aideo is ok all the time. I want to speed it up HELP.

Hows the frame rate like? How fast does firefox render, minimize/unminimize? Does XV video render well? etc etc..

As fast a a New Vista and New Ubuntu 9.02.0 I think that is the name of the one I have. (only had it for 2 weeks).
